which countries does the members of the IDF hail from?
Where is everybody from, which country I mean. I see that we have some British and American simmers. I'm a second generation Canadian myself. So are there any other Canadians in the fleet? I see that some of you are planning a summer get together in the States in the summer. That is a nice idea, if only I could afford to fly over there. I live near Vancouver, and driving is really not an option. Maybe when I'm not a student anymore?!?!? I do have a couple weeks in August, but really, driving across the boarder to travel to the other side of the continent is not a realistic option for me at this point. If something happened on the west coast it would be a different story . . . but I digress. Please respond to this post. Thanks, live long and prosper.

Re: which countries does the members of the IDF hail from?
I myself am from the states and I am the one coordinating the get together. Unfortunately we started off having a huge interest and now there really isn'tany interest so anyone who wants to come is welcome. I'm open to any suggestions too if anyone wants to email me. poisonwake@yahoo.com.

Re: Hailing from...
I'm from the good old US of A. It's nice, but nothing to be overly proud of. (Especially since "Dubya" took office.) I'd like to visit Ireland someday, though. Anyone from around there?

Three cheers for USA!
Well, I am from the good ole United States of America. I a, quite proud of this fact (especially with George W. in command). Sorry to hear that the get together didn't go as planned.

Re: Hailing From and Three Cheers for USA
I agree. I'm from the USA, born and bred, and used to be very happy and proud of that fact. But it's not anything at all to be proud of right now, or for the last two-ish years. I just keep praying we make it to 2005....

You know, I just realized this discussion should be taken to the news and politics board, and not be held here in the IDFleet Discussions as it has nothing to do with IDFleet. So I'll refrain from posting the rest of my comments here.

My 2 cents
I'm from the US, but my ship has simmers from the UK and Australia and my Diplomatic Officer used to be in Korea I think. Have a good day and Drive safely
