what was your fav part?
I have a couple... i love it when they are galloping and you hear the horses and then you get to see that it's coconuts!! Genius!!
Also I love it when they are trying to get over the bridge and the black night is trying to stop them!

Those are hilarious. I really like the whole "She's a Witch" interchange and the "I'm being repressed!" peasant Dennis. That movie has some of the best best quotes ever!!!

I agree with Cissee, those scenes are great. I also quite like the Swap Castle part - "Let's not bicker and argue over who killed who.” And of course the discussion over whether the coconut could have been transported by a swallow.
The whole movie is one large collection of hilarious quotes, think I know practically all of it by heart.
-Silme- For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, meaning you're sure to get in trouble.
Re: what was your fav part?
We were discussing this movie the other day at work, and I think I've come to the conclusion that it might just posssibly be my all time favorite movie. I can't think of another movie that has so many quotable quotes.
In particular, we were discussing the 'We're Knights of the Round Table' song. I had to go home after work and pop in my DVD in order to remember some of the hilarious words to that song. And especially that quick cutaway they showed of the prisoner in the dungeon clapping along!
I even decided to turn the song into a ringtone for my cellphone. Now I carry it with me wherever I go!

Thank you and welcome to the board, hope to see you around.
Now that I have done my administrative duties ...
If you listen to the song and all the words, it realy is very random thing to sing about. It is still one of my favorite python songs.

I got into a Grail discussion with one of my students one day. They had watched the movie in Theater Arts, but very few got into it. I was talking with one who did like it, and we couldn't figure out just one favorite part. There really are too many!!

I would have to say that one of my favourite parts is when Sir Robin's minstrel is singing...that song makes me cry with laughter every time.
But I love the deduction as to why the woman is a witch...and the coconut part...and the "I shall taunt you a second time!" part...and oh, there are soooo many parts that are so great about this movie!!!
Ooh... my favorite LINE has to be... "Are you suggesting that coconuts migrate?"
But-- the best part in my opinion is swamp castle. "Right, not to leave the room-- even if you come and get him." It was random looniness, just stopping the plot because of silly guards. Poor Graham only got the hiccups though- but it made the scene.
Re: what was your fav part?
I cannot pick one scene, but here is a listing:
-Black knight scene
-Witch scene
-Tim the enchanter/Killer Reabbit: It has teeth as sharp as, uh,... It leaps as far... LOOK AT THE BONES!
-Black Beast of Aaaarrrrrgghh: (Narrator) Suddenly, the animator had a sudden and fatal heart attack, and the cartoon peril was no more.
-Knights of Camelot: [singing] We're knights of the Round Table, we dance whene'er we're able. We do routines and chorus scenes with footwork impec-cable, We dine well here in Camelot, we eat ham and jam and Spam a lot. / We're knights of the Round Table, our shows are for-mi-dable. But many times we're given rhymes that are quite un-sing-able, We're opera mad in Camelot, we sing from the diaphragm a lot. / In war we're tough and able, Quite in-de-fa-ti-gable. Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable / It's a busy life in Camelot
[solo]
Knights of Camelot: I have to push the pram a lot.
-Minstral:[singing] Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot. He was not afraid to die, oh brave Sir Robin. He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways, brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin. He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp, or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken. To have his kneecap split, and his body burned away, and his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Robin. His head smashed in and heart cut out, and his liver removed, and his bowels unplugged, and his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off and his penis split...
Sir Robin: That's enough singing for now, lads... looks like there's dirty work afoot.
My Absolute Fav:: -God: Arthur, Arthur, King of the Britains. Oh don't grovel, if there is one thing I cant stand, It's groveling.
Arthur: Sorry
God: And don't apologize, Every time I try to talk to someone it's "sorry this" and "forgive me that" and "I'm not worthy"... What are you doing now?
King Arthur: Averting our eyes, oh Lord.
God: Well, don't. It's just like those miserable psalms, always so depressing. Knock it off!...
Arthur, king of the Britains, it is your job to set an example in these dark times
Arthur: Goon idea, o Lord.
God: 'Course it's a good idea!...

Ah, welcome fair Sapienta Et Veritas... Are you one of those rare sort who are able to quote Python incessantly... if you are, I am so envious...
Course having a bad memory, the movie is always fresh to me.
