Well take my pappy's John Deere and drive it in the pond! This is interesting to me on many fronts! It might interest those of you who made it here that I and some others captured the Hornet Spooklight on broadcast quality cameras and made a documentary about it. This was to help me get a Masters degree in Journalism at the University of Arkansas. This doc aired on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN)in mid May of this year. I am VERY interested in hearing about other places where there are spooklight. I have access to the good video cameras to do it right and record them properly. If anybody wants to have a free DVD or VHS copy of what I did, just contact me by PM through this forum.

welcome sit a spell and talk a bit,there are other spooklights running around oklahoma,one night out hunting we saw one,what we thought was someone walking on the ridge watching it until it crossed the open field, no persons were attached to that light we saw

Spooklight encounter on Monday 8-22-2005:
My wife's family owns a large farm north of Dutch Mills on the Arkansas side of the OKLA-ARK border. At 10pm the kids where shooting fireworks. They noticed what looked like a spootlight on a hill about 100 yards to their left. Thinking it might be a poacher or possum hunter or cattle rustler (there is cattle on that hill) they went in and told the adlults and everybody emptied out of the house to debate on clling the sheriff. While debating that, the light was observed going behind tree trunks and branches and coming moving down the hill toward them as if it was a person with a spotlight. It then floated aboove a barn in front of them and floated in the sky to a cow field on the left and disappeared. There was a 65+-year-old woman and a 40-year-old woman and three teenagers all witnessing the same event. The 40-year-old woman says the light was the size of a softball and shaped like a light bulb and slightly greenish. I know all involved and they would not co-ordinate a hoax like this for fear of having the curious tresspass on the farm.
What I find incredible is this event happened a few days after I found this website.
In light of this does anybody know of any other spooklights in the eastern oklahoma area? I want locations if you have them.

spooklight road east of salina used to see them all the time,and north of skiatook but i can`t remember the exact location... hope this helps
