spooklight bigfoot report

Date: 03-15-04
Time: 1:30 a.m.
Location: We were on the Spoolight RD.and Stateline Rd. between
Oklahoma and Missouri. I don't know how to tell you how to get there
except that it is the site of the Hornet Spooklight/Triangle.
Terrain: To our immediate SW was Spooklight hollow which is a densely
wooded area and to our west pasture land extending approx. 5mi and then
edged by a tree line. To our east was a small dense patch of woods with
fields on the other side. To the SE was both patch woods and small
pastures. The are also a very few homes in this area.
Witnesses: two
Activities: My son, brother and I were there hoping to witness the Hornet
Spooklight. My son was looking out the back of the truck and my brother
and I were looking out the front window.
Description: It was very tall, approx. 7-8 ft., and was covered with very
dark shaggy fur. I could not make out its facial features due to darkness
and distance. Previous to and for a few minutes after I heard a strange
sound that sounded like a cross between a keening moan and a very
gutteral growl. I also noticed a smell I thought was at first to be a whole
family of skunks. It was strong but not overpowering.
Details: We were parked on the side of stateline RD. facing the SW at the
HOtnet Spooklight site hoping to see the spooklight. We had been sitting
there for a couple of hours when we were surprised by not the spooklight
but a bigfoot! My son was watching out the back window in case the
spooklight appeared behind us and my brother was watching out driver's
side window and I was staring straight ahead when I sensed movement on
the west side the road about 50 or 60ft ahead of us. Suddenly, the
creature burst from the bar ditch and bolted across the road. It
high-stepped over a 4 1/2ft wire fence and disappeared into a densely
wooded area on the other side. As soon as I saw it I yelled, " Hey Look,
Look at that!!!" My brother turned and yelled, "WOW...WOW!!" By the
time my son got turned back to the front it was gone so he did not see it.
We were very excited to say the least!
Observations: While we were discussing what we had just seen, we were
also looking around to see if we could see anything else and sure enough
we saw a Tall dark shape standing next a tree just inside the fence line
about 20ft on our left apparently watching us. After a few minutes the
creature disappeared into the woods. Also, curiously enough, we did not
see the spooklight that night evn though we stayed for another hour before
finally leaving.
Water: Spring River and numerous creeks
Incidents: Yes, I have heard several stories about other sightings as well as
unexplained smells and noises

my team has been up there numerious times over the years and really haven`t gotten any castings,lots of rumors and coffie talk, I posted something under RUMORS "tiff city" the reason i posted under rumors is we haven`t found anything really positive other than a few iffy footprints but we will check it out again maybe this weekend

tiff city monkey
east of tiff a group out looking for the spooklight see a group of 3
monkeys playing in a field when they stopped to get a picture a bigger
thing came out of the woods
they said it looked like the size of a truck and it stood on 2 feet the
smaller ones fled into the tree line
they made no further comments about this encounter

was out there last night sat and talked to a few spooklight watchers and talked to a few locals, this is a very very closed community which really don`t like all the attention from teh spooklight not ot mention Bigfoot, when the subject of Bigfoot was brought up in the convenence store the publice ridicule was pretty extreme... but talked to couple of people up the road that flaged us down and said yes they have seen somthing off and around state line rd...on many mornings trashcans are over turned and garbage is strewn across the yard,the only thing that makes this strange is most cans are in enclosed fences or boxes, if you know what Im talking about or have large cinderblocks on top with a rope or chain holding them down

well keith bud... I really can`t confirm anything, we went up and looked around,didn`t find anything, knocked on a few doors to talk and the 2 houses that did come out and talk...
laughed us almost off the porch, but they did let us snoop around in the woods and the creeks...
saw cows and horsies but thats about it......no tracks,signs,inpressions etc....
