period ( girl talk!)
Ok - so we all hate going to the doctor for woman issues - well most of us do - and i have a male doctor i just dont enjoy - going to try to get a new female one...
I stopped having my period in January so about 6 months ago.. i suspect it is from the intense training and diet that my body was going through and having lost the weight i did.
When should i expect it to come back with regular training and healthy eating IF this is what caused it to stop in the first place? I know every girl is different but on average how long should it take for my hormones to start to level off?
Also, when and if i do go to the doctor about this what can be done to help make me regular? i really don't want to go on the pill. I just want to have some advice/suggestions from fitness people before i go see a doctor so i have some things to bring up with them.
oh ya - no way im pregnant either..no little fitness girls or men bodybuilders ( yet...) lol
I had mine last about 3 or more months ago. I went off the pill about 6 months ago, had 2 normal periods and then nothing. Not that I mind
But I do realize this is not normal and want to be as normal as I can be haha.....
I think my going off my contest diet, increasing good fats and calories overall it will come back in time. I switched to a different fishoil that is better for this as well as adding in a vit b complex soon.
BodyFat
Hey Chris,
Any idea what bodyfat you're at? Perhaps when you get to 13% or so it will come back...
I haven't had one in about 5 mths either.... before then, it was extremely light as well. My male doctor told me I needed to eat and to stop training so much... for the most part he was kidding, but he was being truthful.
Re: BodyFat
I lost mine for almost a year..it just came back in March of this year (i competed last June--05) and now I think its going again...It disappears from the intense workouts and diet..no worries--it will come back someday
Re: BodyFat
I have mine no matter what ..even going as low as 8% Intense training schedule and low bodyfat does not influence it...perhaps my body is used to it over the years Many females stop menstruating if their bodyfat drops to 15 %.It is very individual and depends on your hormonal status.Just like some girls get leaner easier then others
