outdoor cardio, any suggestions?
now that the weather is warm and sunny i would like to enjoy doing some cardio outside on the weekends. do you have any suggestions what activities or things would be really beneficial?

depending how intense/long you want this cardio workout to be:
biking - good for a nice long cardio session..more fun if you have someone with you!!
go to a near by park/stadium and go crazy with the stairs...make it a game if you have someone with you..time to see who can run up and down them the fastest...step every step then every two.... don't think of it as "cardio" and it becomes a fun thing!!
swimming - HELLO can we say full body workout!! - - treading water sure is good for the legs and core
when cardio is done outside it isn't dreaded as much as your every day cardio machine in the gym..so if the weather is nice get outside in that sun Edited by: Christine at: 24/4/06 6:42

Swimming is awesome, good suggestion When Darrin and I were in Jamaica we went snorkling and the cardio workout was great, not to mention I was exhausted after from treading
Doing anything outside in the nice weather really helps improve the mood

I love going for powerwalks or nice long bike rides in the forest...sooooo refreshing
And beach volley can be quite fun too!!!
