is facism taking hold in Europe?
Recently, with so many elections going on, this question has been at the forefront of many peoples minds (or at the back, depending on who you are). With Le Pen, the extreme right wing candidate, almost winning the elections in France, and the same happening in Holland, with people panicking already because of the assasination of the right wing party leader. In Britain, the British National Party, or BNP, have one seats in areas such as Barnsley, with there racist ideals being ignored beacause of peoples minds being polluted by the media who are condeming asylum seekers. I for one think that Facism is getting a worryingly high level of support which hasn't been seen, dare I say it, since the eve of the Second World War. I would like to know peoples views on this, epecially american ones, because they will presumably have a different viewpoint on things. Rant Over

It's all following on from 9/11 with many ppl thinking that anyone of colour is an evil sod, which is NOT true. But as for asylum seekers, why do they choose UK? We have little or no money to spend on important things like the health service as it is, and asylum seekers don't help. The idea of asylum penitentiary was a very bad desicion though, but if those claiming asylum insist on dissappearing whenever they get the chance then things like that are going to happen.

I say deport illegal immigrants and let the ones who get here by legal means stay, unless they had no other choice..... it's not like France wants to keep them anyway. They'd rather let them 'slip past security'. How conveniant.

so you're against mothers, children and the elderly who are in places such as western africa or Iraq, trying to flee war or a currupt government but do not have the financial aid they need to become landed immigrants in the western world. Is that what you're trying to saying?

No it isn't what I'm trying to say. Let me rephrase.

Our free and liberal governments should have systems and regulations in place or thought up on how to deal with immagrants from poor countries who have zero access to aid and are fleeing for their lives, but they're too wrapped up in political correctness and what they term "rights" to be doing any of that stuff.

This is a very complicated issue with a lot of moral dilemmas...
