is coffee ok?
I keep hearing confusing remarks regarding coffee and going to the gym. Is coffee ok or not, i don't think i could give it up but if its really that bad i guess i could make the effort
I dont have a problem with people drinking coffee as long as it isnt full of cream and sugar. The caffeine that is in coffee will give you energy to get you through a workout (to a degree). If you are taking a fat burner with caffeine in it you will reduce its effectiveness by taking more caffeine in with the coffee. Caffeine also acts as an appetite suppressant, mainly in men though, so it aids in dieting to a degree.
At the end of the day, I let my clients drink coffee if they want. They are grumpy enough having to change their eating habits let alone making them give up coffee too. They still see the results they should regardless of drinking coffee.
Re: is coffee ok?
i've went from double-double to drinking my coffee black. it's not the treat it use to be, but its an entirely different, without the guilt and I enjoy it. Still gives me that kick in the butt for a workout or just getting me in gear.
Re: is coffee ok?
I have never been a coffee drinker but being Irish I enjoy a "cupa" tea. I used to have homo milk and sugar in my tea, once I started on my journey to a better physique I cut out the sugar, then the milk. Now I just add skim milk (not much of a treat) but if I was to have it the old way it would probably taste gross.
Re: is coffee ok?
the day someone takes away my java is the day i might have to kiss this sport good-bye...i don't add anything into my coffee ( maybe sweetners the odd time) but what I find is like my "cheat" is flavoured coffee you can get them in your local grocery store or if you want to go all out 2nd cup has yummy ones. My fav. being chocolate rasberry and vanilla hazlenut.
If you haven't given them a go I highly recommend them. I can only imagine what it wuld taste like with some milk!! yummmmm
Re: is coffee ok?
Would nice milky cappuccino with heeeeeaps of froth and heeeeaps of sweet cocoa powder fall into coffee category Just kidding...I was never a coffee drinker untill about 2 years back.I was real chocoholic..I mean the type who will get up in the middle of the night and drive to the gas station to get a fix Cappuccino with nice froth and sprinkle of cocoa on top helped me to fight my addictions.I would be drinking one cup every day and the slowly started to cut down (now I have maybe one or two cups per week)I hardly ever have chocolate now...from slab of choc per day to maybe 1 every couple of months and all thanx to cuppa java.
