how many solitaries out there have come full circle.........
hi there....a few years ago i started thinking about incorporating the feelings of orthodoxy with the values of wicca. of course the goddess(virgin) is present in both. jesus on the other hand was difficult . i could call the goddess by other names but to move christs name over and use another was very difficult for me. i suppose some would say that it was my upbringing but i definitely felt close to the god/christ that i knew, i just couldnt accept the version that i was being given inside the churches. loving the ways of wicca and the spiritual feeling that christs teachings bring have set up confusion in me. however, i made up my own wiccan rosary calling upon christ and the goddess, healing for mother earth and a symbol using a pentagram with a cross on top . let me tell ya... i was so happy when finally i looked up christian wicca on the net and actually found info. so heres my question....how many of you feel that if you were involved with a regular wicca circle that you would not have felt the need to get back to christian roots? or would it have made a difference to you? take care
Re: how many solitaries out there have come full circle.....
I was raised Christian, 11 years in fact, and the whole time things never felt right to me, and some of my beliefs weren't exactly shared by everyone (although there were a few who did) things like not believing satan to be an actual being, and not believing jesus to be an actual god (or demi god) or in that kind of position in the next life. Either way, I still felt this was right even through 11 years of brainwashing (not meaning any offence, I'll explain later if I need to) and then I found wicca. I still believe alot in what the bible says, and I still believe in the teachings of Jesus, but... yeah, in an effort to try not to offend with my.. differing opinions I'll just stop now.

reply to your reply, full circle solitaries
thanks for your reply..... and no offense taken. about brainwashing....been there, dont like it! what ive noticed is that while all religions(wicca included) want to feel theyve cornered the market on the right way to think about "god"... there is always a common denominator. do you know what i mean? what do you feel that would be? take care
Re: reply to your reply, full circle solitaries
Actually me, and a few other fellow wiccans and friends of mine believe that we AREN'T right, just that we could be, and that as long as our religion makes us happy and helps us help others, how can it be wrong?
Me personally I think all the gods are up there, the Christian God, Buddha (although he wasn't considered an actual god to my knowledge) the wiccan gods, everyone, are all up there laughing at us and hi fiving each other.

Re: reply to your reply, full circle solitaries Hey Nicole. I think the common denominator would be that all religions have differant names for their God/Goddess. But all these names Jesus, Buddha, Allah, Lady, Lord, etc. all are facets or manifestations of one God that is universal to the whole world and all its religions. Every religion has an element of the truth to the Divine. Each person just chooses his/her own road to get there. One road is not better than another, just differant. All roads lead to the same destination point.

I agree with you completely.
I've looked at instances in the world where all religions seem like they must be right.
How could miracles occur for all of them unless they were done by the true divine force in the universe?
I think that whatever you call it; God, Goddess, Allah, Thor, etc. They're all really the same divine force. They are just different aspects of it that we as imperfect humans use as a method of understanding what is beyond our grasp.
We have to have someone to pray to, and I think that God or whatever you choose to call the Divine, understands that.
