hexagonal tunnels
Anybody feeling helpful? I am trying to make a relatively simple system of tunnels under my map. I have tried to make an L with two hexagonal "cylinders" by clipping each at a 45 degree angle and lining up the edges. This seems to cause a lot of splitting. I am also looking at doing a T junction. I'm not 100% sure on the math (damn triangles), but I think I could do clipping to make them line up the same was as the L junction. I'm afraid the splitting would be even worse there. I am contemplating leaving out the clipping entirely and just running the hex tunnels into and out of the faces hollow blocks to join them together. Any advice on what would be the best way to go about this doing this? This is my first map, and I'm trying to learn the "right way" to do things as I go along. Thanks.
