Re: Arrival
Toni was in pain. She had never been whipped before, and it HURT. She bit her lip and took out her wand. She watched as three people were sent away. She didn't even want to know where they were going. It didn't sound pleasant. She wiped her eyes and began to work.

Re: Arrival
William walked cautiously over to one of the dark creatures with a look of dismay on his face. He knew he would get beaten for saying this, but he would also get beaten if he didn't. William looked at the being.
"Umm..sir, my wand, it is.. um, not with me."

Re: Arrival
((Three Toni, two players, and an NPC))

"I'd rather not think about it." said Wren to Quinn, trying not to retch.

*She set back to work on the wall, smugly noting that she had been at least partialy right about the necessity for quality in the construction of the wall, but still worying that her puting Celest down had in some way contributed to her being hauled off to only hell knew what. She told herself that he was simply picking g.i.r.l.s who were visialy pleasing, and it wasn't her fault, and she tried to tell herself that if they were picking g.i.r.l.s based on looks, she was sure to be the last person they'd bother, but she didn't realy belive any of it. So she just worked, solidifying portion of the wall, suporting shaky portions, and trying to streamline it away from a pile, by removing rocks from the wider bottom after securing the underlying sections. As the gash in her back finaly began to heal, courtesy the delayed healing charm, the wall was fialy begining to look at least somewhat like a wall, but it was still incompleate.*

Re: Arrival
Rhiannon gave an involuntary shiver as another, more fierce, Drow stepped forward. He had been working them mad, but was still unpleased. Rhiannon bit her lip and remained silent as Celeste and Ryleigh were taken, and hoped that they'd be alright. Setting back to her work, Rhiannon put a hand around her necklace, feeling it warm in her hand. If only it could warm the rest of her, she thought. This place was truly sinking to the bones...

Re: Arrival
James watched in horror as Ryleigh and another girl were dragged away. He wanted to run after them, but a part of him knew that would only make it worse for them. He focused his attention back on the wall. He would stack a pile up, and then solidify that part, then repeat. Before he knew it, he had completed a decent amount of the wall. He realized that this was helping him to block out thoughts of what was going to happen to them all. He looked around and saw that the girls taken hadn't returned yet and he shook his head sadly when he realized they hadn't

(sorry, but I gotta keep up the hardworking image, that way I can kill them in their sleep :evil )

Re: Arrival
*Wren worked along side the same boy as before, he was working just as quickly but with more care. She helped with the solidification, but soon began feeling useless, so she went over to the other end, of the wall, and began building from that direction. Before long, there was only about a 5 foot space between the sections off wall, and no one was sure wht to do, if they continued building, they would join both sides together, and then there would be no way in or out, which wouldn't realy work out very well if this was to be a staging area, and they were to do work outside, so they slowed work afraid to stop, but equaly afarid to join the two sections without being sure of what thery were doing. she turned to the fast working boy.*

Re: Arrival
James nodded to the older girl. He knew they seemed to favor him, but he wasn't about to sell out for the other side. And he wanted everyone to know that. He slowly walked up to a slave master and asked, looking at the ground "What do we do now, if we continue the wall, we'll close ourselves in?". James stood and waited for the whip to hit.

Re: Arrival
***Reply To William***

Cruel yellow eyes glittered with cold malice, matted sandy hair, a rough mop and a long whip held loosely in his hand. The Slavemaster twitched his hand at the boy who had dared to speak dirctly to his masters, it slashed his front, sharp pain cutting through Willaim.

He looked at the child impassively,
"No wand? Then use your hands, use your teeth if you have to but WORK" He thought a moment staring at the boy

"Go, find all others with no wand. Gather at the sorting table, you are now to provide these miserable" The whip slashed out at a child who had sat down to rest, he screamed, leaping to his feet and whimpering got back to work

"weaklings that are your kind with water, you will gather the food, cook the food if it requires it and keep this living area clean, that corner there serves as a toilet area, keep it under control." He sneered the orders, whip twitching again in his hand, looking for an excuse to use it again.

"Now, go to the registration table and MOVE"

((William, get yourself an NPC, start a new thread with you reporting to the registration table and we'll take it from there.))

Re: Arrival
***General Reply***

With the exit of the three girls and the master most slaves began a frantic but careful work pace. Reorganising sections of the wall, solidifying their work, taskmasters walking through the huddles of workers paused at any who looked to be talking amongst themselves.

Glittering yellow eyes lighting up, arms falling, whips flicking out to tear a strip from the back of everyone who had spoken about the matter.

"DO WE NEED ANOTHER DEMONSTRATION!"

Slaves scurried back to working under their wicked glare, eyes that seemed to cut through the dim lighting as see into the darkest of shadows with ease. Picking out every detail of the kids.

Re: Arrival
***The Question You All Been Wanting To Know***

The Drow locked putrid yellow eyes on James, taking in the thrid jewel, and the submission to him, and stopping the whip which had already begun to twirl. He looked around the pen, a cruel smirk on his face, he opened his mouth wide and begun shouting orders again

"Open that up to 10 feet, solidify that area, clear the rumble from the ground. This area is for your eating and sleeping. Keep it ordered and clean and FINISH IT NOW."

He sneered at James, whip cracking across another random back that hadn't moved quickly enough,
"you were chosen right" he said coldly, "work or I ignore your rank" he said loud enough for several other kids to hear him.

((one more post from most of you and I'll end this thread and begin the next. See the OOC room for Dark Creature updates and use that for questions about this place *please*))

Re: Arrival
*Wren set back to work, this time shaving a few feet off her end of the wall, which was easier than building it had been, with the help of some other nearby kids. They'd taken of about 3 feet she switched to clearing rubble since The G.I Joe boy and others were on the other side.*

Re: Arrival
James walked back to the wall and with the others help they quickly had opened the gap to the correct amount and cleared all the rubble out. When they finished, he sat down and looked at his bracelet, he glanced over at Wren's and realized that he had an extra jewel."Rank?" he said quietly to himself. He wasn't sure, but he assumed that meant he was above the rest of his classmates. He wasn't exactly sure how to take this, but the first thing that crossed his mind was how the wizards had told him not to hide the weak ones. His anger grew a bit and he began to think of ways he could use this rank to protect his classmates.

Re: Arrival
The students stepped back, exhausted arms limp at their sides, tongues sore from the constant utterin of the same words over and over again. Nearly all were bleeding from the touch of the taskmasters driving them on, frcing them to continue their working. The wall they had created, seven foot high, surrounding them, hazy purple light soaking through everything the eye could see, dancing over the deep shadows created by jutting rock and deep crevices.

Taskmasters patrolled the wall on the outside and on the inside, apparently satisifed they stood around the clustters of whimpering, beaten children. Recognising the signs of early breakers, a wizard, tall for one of the elves, hood down low strode into the center of the pen. He turned slowly, inspecting the wall, it height, it width and its stability, it was below one of his rank to speak to these miserable slaves, the cattle of the elves.
"SIT, DOWN BELLIES ON THE EARTH." another screamed out order, whips cracking through the air with menace as kids dropped to the ground, flattening themselves lying on rocky ground, stones digging into soft skin.

Raising his hands palms facing the earth, chanting in his language, magical energy rolled of him, brown haze surrounding his hands as he gathered power. Raising the palms to the wall he released, a thick beam hit the wall and he moved along it. Slowly melting the rocks the had placed, softeneing them with one bar, shaping them with the other, pushing the wall into a solid mass of stone, modifying it further.

It took close to fifteen minutes of his droning chant, spreading along the wall with easy care. When his hands dropped, his voice stopped the wall was solid, fused together and to the ground, as solid as if it had been lifted from the rock under their feet, sharp jaggs of rock had lifted out of the walls top, randomly drawn up at differing angles and heights, any attempt to clamber over the top would leave the person climbing a ragged ruin, unable to continue their escape. Satisfied the wizard turned sharply and left, never once looking at the slaves, nor acknowledging thier presence.

The Slavemaster barked more orders out to his own men, they scampered to work driving a pair driving two stakes into the ground beside the entrance, leading a pair of their massive wardogs, drooling liquid fire, paws scorching the earth they trod on. Dogs were chained at the entrance, ensuring any attempt at escape from the pen would end in failure and a full belly for one of the beasts.

"You are left with your wands for now, any one of you tries to escape and we will kill three that remain behind. Any one of you tries to attack a master with your wand and they will lose the hand that held it, and we will beat three of you chosen randomly." The Taskmasters cruel voice echoed over the heads of the children still lying flat on the ground.

He looked up, seeing movement outside the entrance, poles being slipped into the earth. A hard, wicked grin grew.
"This, all of you have to see this." Whips cracked again, a student was dragged out, the older boy who had tried to run at the beginning of this hellish ordeal.

Slaves were shuffled out of the pen, next to the dogs who looked on them with intelligent, almost human eyes. They did not attack in the presence of the Drow without orders to do so. Forced to sit down again, to sit and watch Drow evil at its finest.

((ooc: Continued into Aldons Arrogance if anyone would like to post there, there are other threads going on as well. Feel free to post in any of them, unless of course it does state the thread is for a select few))
