Tehr noticed her eyes roll under grime covered lids, her grin of arrogance, he listened to her words again, yellow eyes never leavin hers though they shifted in focus briefly.
He nodded, eyes still on hers, knowing the drow behind her was one of his few, his whip cracked across her shoulder blade

Once more Ryleigh took the hit, biting down on her already bruised and bleeding lip hard to help ease the pain, her eyes closing only for a moment before snapping open, locking her gaze on Tehr's once again.
"You don't own that do you?" She asked cheekily, mustering up the energy to force her cocky grin back on her lips.

Tehr's head nodded again, sharper this time, his hand coming up to again,
"Your point?" he demanded over the crack of the whip, more powerful than the last which had been a warning 'lick' of the lash.
"no" he added quietly, more than a little shocked at himself for it.

Ryleigh let out a low yelp, her teeth gritting, eyes pinching shut, she curled slightly on Celestina, still holding her protectively under her.
"I didn't think so... She breathed painfully, her grin slowly returning.
"Warriors are never usually given more than a dogs help for their work." Ryleigh added turning her eyes back to his.

Tehr lunged this time, geting instantly what her comment was directed at, her insult to him. Hand wrapping in her hair he stood, pulling her sharply up and away from Celest before she could react. His foot snapping through the air, holding her head as she doubled over, allowing her movement before snapping her head back upright.
"Take that one back to my tent, fix those shackles and leave the wand on my bed." he ordered, hands grabbing Celest and pulling her away along the ground. He released her hair then, looking around at the tail-end of the chaos, making sure he was not still required to be here.
"Walk" he ordered her, hand pointing back to his tent.

James was fading out of conscienciousness(sp?) when he noticed something being placed against his lips. As he drank it, there was a feeling of a disgusting slick liquid running down his throat. The minute the liquid was gone, however, a hot burning took its place. James felt as the burning spread through his whole body. He opened his eyes and looked at his crippled left side, the wounds closing, blood stopping till all that was left to show anything happened was the blood on his clothing. He stared in shock, but then was pulled up quickly.
A drow approached the guards around him "You heard Tehr's orders, ten lashes" then that drow leaned in to address James "This is what you get slave, you had the only bit of power that you worthless humans could get, tell me why would you give it up like this?"
James thought a moment, and smiled though he knew what was coming and said "Its called loyalty, being loyal to one's classmates, but then again I doubt you would know anything about that"
The drow sneered at James and stepped back addressing all the students who had been pulled to their feet "This is what happens when someone betrays us." and he gave the order for James to be whipped while the others watched.
As James was held up, the lashings began. He took the first 5 without anything more than reacting a bit when they hit, but with each consective whip, James grew weaker. After 8, he slumped, only held up by the guards holding him, the pain was that great. After the tenth last, the guards let go, and James collapsed to the ground. The drow walked back up to him and kicked him, saying "You see what your loyalty gets you, pathetic fool" and he walked off to order the rest of the lashings.
(Ok, I'm basing this on the fact that anything I've seen/read basically says that people can stand after getting 10 lashes, and given that the drow whips are magical, I figure I'm in a bunch of pain right now.)

(ok I'm back sorry bout not posting, since this was up like right after my circle thing, I'm guessing the effects of my circle thing haven't come close to wearing off)
Rico stood there motionless as things went on around him. He was just brought back as the boy was pulled out into the middle, so his mind was completly blank. He stood there as things happened, not moving as riots broke out. When a slavemaster whipped him, he didn't react at all, his mind being so messed up from the wizard that he didn't feel the pain. As his clothes tore and his skin broke he just stood there, the slavemaster approached him angirly, the pain seeming to have no effect, but as he reached him, a wizard stopped the slavemaster. The wizard whispered something into his ear and the slavemaster laughed evilly. He said to Rico "Your punishment is worse than whipping slave" and he continued off to extract punishment on someone else.

Celest did want to allow herself to be taken back to Tehrs tent, but without her wand she was hardly able to do something. She startled struggling, and screaming. As she was being dragged she dropped to the ground in an attempt to make it harder for the elves to drag her off. She started kicking and screaming like a little child. "LEAVE HER YOU MONSTER!!!" she screamed viciously at Tehr "DO YOU HAVE NO DIGNITY? YOU CRUEL-VILE BEING!!!".......

The guards dragging Celest looked to Tehr first, his curt nod and then dropped her fully. A haevy kick smacking into her side, crumpling her and winding her. Hands wrapped around her arms and shoulders again and they picked her back up.
Continuing to half drag her across to his tent, the looks they cast each other were odd, both questioning why neither of these two had been severly beaten yet, for insolence at the least, let alone attacking the guards.
"He's losin it" one muttered at last, the other nodding very slightly, knowing what would happen if they were overheard here.
"gone if you ask me, one of these should have died" their idle talk continuing as they reached the tent and secured Celest.

Tehr turned quickly, shouting out at the guard beside Aldon,
"Make sure he sees this, make sure he sees every flinch, hears every scream, and makes sure he knows all of this is because of his foolish arrogance and pride."
The Guard nodded, grabbing Aldon firmly, dragging / shoving him to get a closer look, to hear what had happened becaue of him.

Rhiannon named the scene before her. Chaos. Nothing less than it. Where were those gods of all that was sane and decent? The hydra, good gods. The thing was massively looming over everyone. Students were shrieking, and everything was chaos. Yep, chaos.

*Wren was still huddled on the ground, covering her ears eyes squeezed shut, just trying to avoid the reality that was all around her, when she was rudely awakened. A large hand clamped around her left wrist and pulled it back off of her ear.*
"GET UP!" a loud rude voice insisted, and Wren complied, quickly.
*The first lash acrost her back took her by surprize, and despite the fact that some of the blow was absourbed by the double layer of her jumpsuite and turtleneck she crumpled back to the ground.*
"Wh-"
*The second lash cut acrost bare skin, and Wren inhaled sharply and never finished so much as a word.*
"But-"
*Wren scrambled to her feet, and turned around sharpley and the whip caught her upside her neck.*
"Ah!"
*She grabbed her neck and turned her back to the Drow again, in defencive reflex, and the whip cracked acrost her back a fourth time.*
"Thi-"
*She began once agin to protest as the whip smacked her skin for what would have been the final blow. But...*
"Now STOP THAT!!!" Wren yelled whealing around. "I didn't do-"
*The whip cracked throught the air for a sixth time, for her lip, catching her in the left collarbone. And the Drow turned and walked off to his next victim. Wren sank to her knees, not out of pain, or weakness, but out of frustration over the injuctice of the situation. She had done nothing, and she was punished.*

James lay on the ground groining, his back was burning, he had never felt so much pain. He slowly pulled himself up using the wall and turned to face the wizard who had whipped him.
"We're not pathetic, you are. Loyalty is what seperates us for you, you are what is pathetic, your SCUM" James yelled at the wizard.
(ok I'll let whoever is controlling the Dark Creatures respond to this, you can react however you want.)

The wizard turned slowly to face James again, face set in anger at the continued defiance these slaves presented, anger at the one they had been using as a control mechanisim for the others. He shook his head in disbelief, snapping his fingers, a guard slipping his hand crossbow into the wizards hands.
"You slave, you will learn" the wizard hissed, standing over him, firing the bolt deep into his leg and stepping back as he screamed, the poison working instantly, shredding nerves, overloading the mind on pain.
He handed the guard back his weapon, leaving the bolt until all the pain causing poison would have drained off it into his blood. "I think that today not much work will get done, but tomorrow, tomorrow they will have learnt what happens to the disobedient." he muttered, walking off and leaving the thrashing boy alone.

James lay thrashing on the ground. This was the worst pain of all, his mind seeming to explode from the pain. He groaned and grunted, but wouldn't let a scream escape, he wasn't going to give them the pleasure. After a while, the pain died down enough that he could drag himself over to where the rest of the students were. He lay there looking at the bolt still in his leg, deep in his leg, and he could still feel the sting from the whips on his back.
(*gives Aldon a high five* alright, we managed to stop work for a day )

Caos had broken out, things had gone from bad to terrible all in a few minuites time. Earlier fear and dissapointment had consumed Aldons brain and his actions. It was definetly not that way now. When James went down after a wizard had shot a bolt onto his leg Aldon, finally pulled out his wand. It felt almost useless after seeing a small portien of the Drows powers, as well as the guards.
Aldons arm still hurt from the slash of a knife, to use his dripping blood to lure a Giant Dogs senses his way.
James had now somehow dragged himself to the huddle of students, fearing the guards power. "are you in alot of pain?" Aldon said to James...by the look on his face Aldon guessed that was a stupid question. Aldon would try to get him some help...if he needed it.

Smirking the Drow guard strolled up to the two boys,
"Stealing Drow property is punishable by death slave, carrying an object that can be used as a weapon is also punishable by death, I'll consider that a first and final warning" he sneered.
Placing a hand on James's leg firmly, grabbing the bolt roughly with the other, he pushed it in a little further, eyes gleaming with cruel happiness as he yanked it out roughly and painfully. "Using wands without orders to do so is also punishable by a sever beating, put it away slave." The guard slipped the bloodied bolt into the bolt case on his belt, levelling the small, reloaded crossbow on Aldon, his oter hand holding his whip off to the side menacingly, waiting for an excuse to shoot or whip.

Aldon watched in anger as the Drow pulled the bolt out of his leg, he did it extremly forcefully causing James alot of pain. The thing that had made him speak out was the Drow showing the body movent of someone who was to walk away.
Aldon looked at he Crossbow and then the whip before opening his mouth...he was evaluating the current situation and what could happen. "you will at least help him! Wont you??" Aldon said pointing to James bloodied leg.
"you do have that capability" "cause i cant help him... and besides i cant use my wand" Aldon was a bit exasperated...and frustrated with what had just happened.

Rhiannon stepped out of the shadows and into the chaos. Aldon was being stupid, most likely. Talking out against the Drow. Not the wisest thing in the world, but still a point none the less. Rhiannon coughed, maybe from the cavern dust, but most likely from the need of attention. A way give herself the floor, so to speak.
"He won't help James, Aldon. It's not in his nature. You won't believe how insanely uncaring these.... creatures can be. You'd be better to leave it alone."

The first words Aldon had heard Rhiannon say through this whole nightmare were almost dissagreeing with him...as usual...
"so were to let him bleed to death, right here at our feet..." Aldon drifted off it then came to realization that Rhiannon was actually trying to make the Drow prove her wrong. He now would have to continue to play his part. "well im not going to let him die here" Aldon looked at the Drow "you do have the power to do it don't you??" Aldon wasent sure if he should edge him on...but the cause was worthy.
