Aldons Arrogance (anyone join, see ooc)
The Wizard followed the boy and guard, a new whip writhing alivve in his hands. Guards came running up behind, carrying various items in hand, he was dumped on the ground not far from the entracne to the slave pen, having been kicked hard on the side, now covered in dirt and grim from the drag over.
The guards stood long poles against the ground, a few whispered words and they sank into softened stone, locking into place by resolidifying the stone after a half meter had gone into the ground.
Crossbars were placed to make a cross of sorts, chains dangling down from either one, the posts ten feet apart, facing the pen. The wizard nodded, Aldon was dragged again, hands pulling him up, locking his hands into the manacles. Another boy was dragged from the pen, kicking and screaming, it was the Gryffindor who had tried to escape earlier on in the day. He was locked to his post and the wizard magnified his voice
"DOGS," he called their attention, the pen had just been finsihed, slavers herded them around and forced everyone to sit. Guards readying poisoned bolts in hand crossbows, ready to shoot anyone who moved and making their intent clear.
"ONE OF YOUR NUMBER SAID HE COULD DO BETTER THAN WE IN THE CAUSEING OF PAIN TO YOU" Drow anger was evident, warriors glaring at Aldon,
"he tried to bargain for his freedom by producing a better whip for us to use on you. I have decided to honour our agreement, a test is in order and you are the judges."
The wizard held Aldons whip up high,
"THIS is his invention." he handed it to a slaver who moved behind the other boy (NPC).
He held up another whip, jet black, sleek and long it glistened moistly,
"THIS is our whip, the one we use to actually hurt you snivelling pathetic fools" he handed it to another slaver who stood behind Aldon, whip almost seeming to lift itself off the ground, sliding around like a shadow, as though there wasn't anything really there except an absence of something, a hole in reality.
"You be the judges of whether his whip is better than ours." He sneered and sat back down between the two slavers, a large padded chair brought up quickly for him to rest on and sit back to enjoy this spectacle

Re: Aldons Arrogance (anyone join, see ooc)
Aldon was still dazed by his trip top were he was now...he actually dident really know were he was, he was thrown on the ground and felt the cold of metal on his ankle. It all started to come back...
Aldon remembered being taken to another room and using his wand to...'oh god'....
Aldon had created a new whip the dark elves could use to hurt his fellow students, why was he so stupid?? how stupid he was to bring up his knowledge of charms, why dident he see the expression of the elf when he blurted out what he could do with his wand??? 'but i had too they would have killed me' and what had this dark elf just said...he twisted the truth so badly, now Aldon felt he had no hope in finding reconcile with the others...he felt like a traitor... he felt that in the eyes of the others he was...

Somehow when they were working, she was to wrapped up in doing that, that she had no time to think. Now she sat there, being forced to watch what happened before her, from the front row. She closed her eyes and turned her face down covering her ears too keep from hearing what she knew she would anyway.*

Re: Aldons Arrogance
The wizard waited a moment, seemingly basking in the fear rolling from the two boys, the fear and shock on the faces of the slaves.
"Bleed em" he commanded, utter loathing as he finally gave the order.
The first whip, Aldons whip writhed high, lashing out almost longingly finding the boys back and ripping its way across it. Dozens of tiny teeth snatching tender flesh, sinking in as the whip slid away, ripping a strip through his skin. His scream rent through the air, shredding the silence that had settled, raw pain. Before it had finsihed the whip had come around a second time, too fast to fully keep up with it bit deep again, tearing pale blood soaked flesh away. His scream pitching again, dragging a ragged breath into himself, slumping limply in his bonds. A third strike, he lurched forward into the post, staggering back and hanging fast gasping breaths, blood pouring from the torn flesh of his back, sobs of raw agony replacing the screaming as the whip came to coil itself around its weilders arm, spitting small pieces of skin from its 'mouth'.
The wizard clapped, dryly appluading the whips efforts
"That should be enough to begin, thankyou." He looked over the faces now twisting in anger and hate at Aldon, he had done that to this boy, his arrogance, his slefish cowardice had caused that peer of theres, a HOUSEMATE of his to suffer like this.
The wizards yellow eyes gleamed, looking the crowd over, he stood slowly, feeding openly from the emotion coming from them. He would let this soak in for a moment, let them see that boys blood running down his limp body, let them see it cover the ground, let them listen to his sobs of anguish.

James watched in shock as the guards whipped the boy. The whip tearing though the boy's skin. James' shock turned to anger when he realized that this other boy had made the whip. James clenched his fists in anger, not able to do anything right now, but as soon as they were away from the guards, James was going to deal with this other first year.
Re: Aldons Arrogance
Rhiannon watched in terror. How could Aldon be so stupid? Trying to bargain for his own freedom, while causing his housemates to suffer. Her violet eyes locked on his, trying to mentally question his sanity. But it was no use. If she had been in any mood for sympathy, she would have sighed at the fact that his life at Hogwarts was ruined before it even began. But Rhiannon was not in any mood right now. She watched stoicly. Rhiannon had no energy to do much else. D*mn these creatures.

Re: Aldons Arrogance
Aldon didn't want to hear the screams of the poor boy chained beside him...but he did...and it was partly him who caused the pain, but not for the reason the elves had said. He would have probobly been killed if he dident do what he was told. The word and possibility of 'Probobly' ate him up inside he should have never created that weapon.
Aldon saw the looks of the students watching, Hatred, Anger, Disgust, Sorrow and disbelief played in and out of his range of vision, each stare, killed a part of him...and he had noone to hide his shame from. Aldon saw Rhiannon in the crowd he had seen her earlier, her look was diffrent somehow...Did she understand?? or Did she not care?? His 'Best Enemy' the only person who seemed to understand him, how ironic. This gave him some strength to face the others, they knew nothing of what had happened. It was time to 'inform' them.
"LIES!!!" "ALL OF IT, LIES!!!" "PLEASE BELIEVE ME" "LIES!!!" "NOTHING BUT LIES" He had stood up, and shouted as loud as he could to the crowd. "I SWEAR TO YOU ITS ALL LIES, EXCEPT FOR THE WHIP" "I DID MAKE IT!!" Aldon would not lie. He pointed to the Drow sitting down between the posts..."YOU ARE A LIER"
Re: Aldons Arrogance
Rhiannon clamped her hand over her mouth. Oh no, oh no. Aldon...he had just...oh no. She sighed. Irony was always a favorite of hers, but not now. Aldon was going to get beaten, and to what good? At least he'd be a hero of sorts now, Rhiannon thought. If he didn't DIE first. Now she KNEW he wasn't sane. Yep. He was a few twigs short of a broomstick.

Re: Aldons Arrogance
The wizard stood slowly, straightening his robes and smoothing them down with immaculate precision. He walked closer to Aldon, a mild smile of pure malice cutting a line across his face. He had seen one or two looks of support from the rest of the slaves, sense now told him not to martyr this boy, but anger and cold cruelty made him want to prove his point: No human child could outdo a masterpiece of Drow crafting.
"Poor poor child, have you just realised what you have done?"
He snapped his fingers, yellow eyes searching the drow standing around.
"TEHR." He spotted him standing back, opposed to torture but pride in his people had placed an odd glittering in his yellow eyes.
"Your expertise is required if you wouldn't mind. This test continues, and we see whether we lose a slave today, the word of the Drow is binding. We said we would free you if you could beat our creation, we still stand by our oath even if you now deny it."

Re: Aldons Arrogance -Enter Tehr
The drow parted, one of their number walking with fluid grace through them all, thier deference to him evident. Weapons covering him, stuck on every available space so that at all times he had one with reach of a flick of the wrist.
He strode to the wizard, yellow beaded eyes intent, coming to stop before him and look around at the situation he had been given command of. He looked at the two men who had followed him out, each holding a chain attached to a pair of manacles, his two partially healed slaves held by them for reasons only he knew.
Without speaking he walked to the whip carrying guard, took that sleek whip that dripped pitch nothingness from its length. His head shook slightly, matted dreads swinging, spinning on his heel, the whip lashing through the air, a motion to fast for the eye to see the travel, it tore across the other boys beaten body, already returned to Tehr's hand as the crack and his immediate ear aching scream shredded the air. He slumped, collpased, one strike enough to knock him out as his senses overloaded with pain.
"There is no contest, we all know it. But this boy needs punishing." He thought for a moment, a slow grin growing across his face.
"Or he needs freeing for a service he has provided us with." His eyes searched another Drow out, he nodded
"Your fastest, bring it." The drow ran toward the doors as Tehr wlked back to Aldon, staring into his eyes as he drew a long bladed dagger. He drew it across Aldons forearm, blood running freely from the wound, looking up and seeing the animal handler return.
Struggling with a massive dog, easily bigger than a Great Dane, eyes of fire, black charred fur it had smelt blood, it could feel the intention of its master.
"Release the boy," Guards undid the manacles, Tehr wiped his hand through his blood, striding to the Hell Hound and kneeling, rubbing the bloodied palm across its massive maw.
"I shall count to five, if you can escape, then you will have freed yourself. If not then this puppy shall have caught you, don't worry overly much, he has recently been fed."
Tehr stood, looking at Aldon
"Go" he said simply, "ONE" he shouted, indicating the time had started.

Re: Aldons Arrogance -Enter Tehr
Rhiannon watched in complete and utter horror. Oh gods of all that is sane and human, she thought to herself, let there be mercy. She covered her mouth, in case her vocal cords would leap into an unwilling trap. Could this boy before really be the same one that locked her into a battle of wits at the Sorting Feast? Rhiannon looked at the scene in shock. Someone, please! Give her the Unforgivables now, she thought. If Aldon somehow survived this, he'd go to St. Mungos for definite. Rhiannon forced herself to watch.

Ryleigh stood, shackled feelings and reactions numbed slightly by relative shock by prior events. She stared blankly at everything around her, blue empty eyes falling on an odd scene, she paused watching in morbid amusment at Aldon and the hellhound.
She tilted her head and raised an eyerbrow surveying the situation. She didn't exactly hear the words, but she got the general idea watching Tehr.
She snorted slightly.
"He's not going to make it." She muttered idly, getting what was going on, shifting her hands slightly, the manacles holding her rattling loudly.
Re: Aldons Arrogance -Enter Tehr
Celest forced herself to watch Aldon and Tehr, though she really didnt want to witness it. She knew that Aldon was in big trouble if they had called Tehr in, she may not have known Aldon very well, but she certainly didnt want this to happen to him, she struggled at the chains, trying hopelessly to break free, but it was no use. She sighed and looked on pitying Aldon.....

Re: Aldons Arrogance -Enter Tehr
James' feelings of rage had turned into feelings of pity. He looked at Aldon, then at the dog, then back to Aldon. He knew what he was going to do. He felt a bit guilty at this point, and this was what brought this thoughts to his mind. He looked at those around him, thier clothes in tatters, scars and scabs across their arms and backs. Then he looked at himself. His wristband was different from theirs, his clothes only torn where a rock had scraped him. He had no cuts, no scars, nothing. James bowed his head. In the back on his mind he heard the wizards voice "Do not hide the weak from us again". It echoed louder now. James brought his head up and his eyes narrowed, his rage returned.
Aldon hadn't yet started running, yet the dog had. Aldon was frozen in place, staring in horror as the dog charged towards him. At that instant, James ran forward diving, throwing himself into the dog. He yelled to Aldon "RUN!" while rolling on the ground, wondering what was going to happen next.....

Celest's eyes were wide open with shock. Had James just done what she had thought? Had he thrown himself at the dog? Celest tried harder to break free of the chains, but really there was no point they were very tightly secured. She watched in horror at the scene before her eyes, she tried to look away, but ti felt as if someone was holding her head straight, making her watch....

Rhiannon thought she was going to retch. The scene unfolding was worsening by the moment. James, the one she had met at the Nest. How many more people would intervene? How many more would suffer? Rhiannon wanted nothing more than to look away, but she couldn't.

Re: Aldons Arrogance -Enter Tehr
Massive, brutish, matted spiked fur rippling smoothly over powerful muscles, the Hell hound had launched across the ground, flaming spittle flying from its maw, paws scorching the stone. Aldon had frozen, terror across his face, Tehr watched the ground disappear between them.
Yellow eyes widening as a flying slave barrelled into the hound, it twisted, lurching sideways, maw spreading wide, head snapping to the side. Its mouth found something solid, something soft, blood in its flared nostrils it clamed down, teeth tearing through flesh and sinew. Locking across his shoulder, his scream ripping through the air as the hound pivoted, throwing James, burning hot spittle running down his body. Thrown like a ragdoll to the ground, his left side totally useless, the hound leapt, paws hitting the ground on either side. Mouth spreading wide, dropping over his face but not closing, non flaming spittle running over his features, hot breath of rotting swamping his senses. It waited the order to kill.
Even as the Hound had finsihed thrown James other slaves began to lurch forward.
"DROP EM ALL!" Tehr screamed, knowing well a slave revolt when it was building. Drow hands flashed up through the air, a dozen pencil sized bolts slicing the air, punching into flesh, poison coursing through veins instantly, a dozen screams of pure agony joined James's, dropping to writhe on the ground. Unbearable pain that could not kill them crippling for the time being.
Fifty crossbows drawn, pointed and aimed at the close to panicking crowds of slaves. Tehr's whip had sliced the air, tearing at Aldons leg, dropping him, his ragged voice joining the others in agony. The baldemaster sneered, turning to Celeste and to Ryleigh, looking back and the panicked shocked and stunned slave group. His strode with that air of pure confidence to Aldon, dropping a knee into his back, hand tearing into his hair, jerking his head up so tear stained eyes faced his peers.
Tehr knew now where most of these humans gained their strength, and it was pitiful.
"Look boy, look at what you arrogance has done." he whispered into his ear, free hadn dropping, fifty bolts ripping through the air to find their targets, huddled together in terror. Edited by: Dark Creatures at: 11/25/01 11:06:22 pm

Re: Aldons Arrogance -Enter Tehr
Aldon had stood frozen, frozen at his chance of escape, it had to be a trick, mind games, he would never make it out of here not while being under the watch of these...monsters...will i die here?? The answer was clear, yes, Aldon would die here, die here left with little dignity...thats when the answer became clouded.
A boy had tackled the beast of a dog, knocking in down, He had yelled for Aldon to run...why would he want to save me? screams of pain were heard from the rescuer after the dog had injured him in some way. Then more screams.
The crowd of slaves had tried somthing, some sort of movement...and were now paying for it, Aldon closed his eyes the noises were unbearable. A elf...named Ther came towards Aldon and cut him down, opening a gash in Aldons leg...he screamed in pain... "see what your arrogance has done boy"... the word of Ther seeped into his ear, and into his brain like a poison. Somthing had snapped in Aldon somthing deep inside, he would never fell the same. he looked to the face of Ther and then spoke, he was speaking from a dark place inside him.
"I Hate You" Aldon dident yell or show any signs of anger, but the words were probobly the three coldest and truthful words he had ever spoken. Aldon moved away from Ther steping back, feeling the pain in his leg. He was looking for the boy who had probobly save him and killed him at the same time.
Aldon found him on his back not to far from were the enormus Dog had thrown him...he was in pain. Aldon knew he couldent stand, he looked to be paralyzed from the oneside of his body. Aldon was sure he would have stood for more if he could have. Aldon kneeled down beside him and lifted him so he was sitting up...his arm was full of blood and cuts. ' He saved me i'll save him' Aldon pulled out his wand pointed it to the wound and said a healing spell...He dident know if it would work...

Ryleigh's eyes opend fully at the current scene, she could't bare it. These people were monsters through and through. Amidst all the confusing Ryleigh bumped Celestina.
"Give me your wand." She hissed at her. "NO questions hurry." She rushed boucing on her heels, watching as long, wicked arrows made their way towards the main group.
"Please while his back is turned!" She begged, her shackled hands extended, her blue eyes filling with a mix of determination and terror
