Celest looked over the worksite with a nasty look at the drow. She scoffed "No! Absolutely not, that makes him the weakest out of all of you things! All I can say is for many of you, if you hadnt had these whipes, and other weapons...." she trailed off as she turned back to Tehr.

Tehr raised an eyebrow at her, agreeing, having a point but not saying it, it was trivial, he would save it for later maybe

Celest was puzzled. Tehr wanted her to speak her mind? Had she heard right? She shrugged. Tehr agreed with her about what she had just said? Alright then...she would speak her mind "Every second I stand here watching my classmates being beaten I want to run down their and-and-do something about it!" she said shifting uncormfortably, again. "I find them repulsive and..." she pondered "and furthermore..I dont like being here and I want to go home!" she said awkwardly. She knew their was no point in saying that but whatever. She glanced at her hand in Tehrs hand..oh how she longed for her wand! To use magic! To curse everything that got in her way...

Tehr went still, the wand in his hand coming to a stop as he turned his head slolwy to her.
"You know where we are, those doors there lead straight back up to your home, but there are 300 warriors, picked by me between you and your home. I would give you this back, I have no right to keep you or to keep Ryleigh, yet I have to because if I don't I will die, and both of you will as well, nothing would be gained and much would be lost. Do you understand me?"

Tehr almost laughed, he knew what she meant but at first
"here, in this miserable little hole surrouded by slaves and desperate men, no." He sighed though, continuing to stare off into space over the heads of the slaves. "But back at home, with a million caverns and caves and tunnels in the natural rock, where you can walk in total darkness for days. There it is beautiful" he said with some remorse, slowly.
"But neither of those are what you wanted are they?" He asked, she had answered everything he had saked of her, he would return the favour.

Celest shivered slightly as she looked around. She thought about being above grounds, back in her common room,back at classes, and playing quidditch. She wondered how many quidditch practises she had missed, but then she drifted back to earth and kicked the ground, sending dust into the air. "You liked it at your home?" she said getting an idea.

"No." His eyes shifted to the small dust cloud that had lifted, watching it settle slowly, "I liked the land, the roaming, constantly hunting through an endless labyrinth of caverns" he became almost dreamy, relaxing a little and ignoring the looks that were getting thrown at him by the guards.
"The sights I have seen, the creatures, that is what I love, the freedom." in his mind he began to growl, he should not be saying this
"the cities though, the people" he shook his head in disgust, "it gets worse you know, when the slaves are plentiful and there is no need to keep them alive. That is where we can be seen for what we are."

Celest looked at Tehr, her eyebrows raise once more "Oh!" she replied her stomach rumbled loudly, but she went on pretending it hadnt. "For what you really are? You mean besides being horrible, cruel creatures? You get worse?" she said shocked!

"Yes, much much worse, when there is no need to keep slaves alive, there is a reason the slaves at home crawl through the mud into dark corners when the taskmasters walk past." His voice holding something strange, an emptiness almost, a resignation.
"The strong rule over the weak, it is the way it is." he said, a phrase obviously well taught with the automatic way in which he said it. "But who is strong?" he asked again
Celest thought over the question. "Who is strong?" asked Tehr. But what did he mean? She thought. "What do you mean? Who is strong?" she asked very confused.

Tehr shook his head slightly, dreadlocks flicking at his neck his rambling had gotten out of hand.
"It does not matter, it is of no consequence really, nothing will change because of this talk." He sighed though, looking back at the whip happy Drow

Celest gave Tehr a confused look. "Why are you asking me this? Im only a slave..just cattle! Remember?" she said beggining to blink rapidly again. She flicked a peice of hair out of her face, and still looking at Tehr she said "Well? Why are you asking me this?" she said. She was beggining to feel tired again...

Tehr shrugged, not really knowing why he was, not really thinking about why he was.
"Probably because I am confused, you are not cattle, cattle is weak. Because I can't exactly ask any of my companions this and because I want to know what to do." he trailed off, not liking how he was feeling, not liking this feeling of lostness.

Celest looked into Tehrs eyes. "So you just want to know what to do?" she asked with a soft tone "Well you can start by explaining why you arent acting the way you have been acting all this time! Because that parts really got me!" she said her eyebrows in danger of disapearing, as they were raised so high.

Tehr chuckled very dryly, "you aren't cattle, you aren't weak, and you've both made me think, I am not weak Celestina and Ryleigh was right in a way, I have been weak in a way." His voice sounding a little bitter.
"But what I want to know is what to do, you know, everyday we are here, we are a day closer to being attacked. I don't know what Carmilla is like, but I have met Saichairi before, if he is there and Carmilla is anything like him." He trailed off, fixing his eyes to Celest to se what she would say.

Tehr fingered the hilt of a long dagger strapped to his thigh, looking at Celest a while before speaking slowly.
"She will, and he will, and who knows what they will bring with them. And we will fight and if they brought enough power they will kill us all and I will die in this chamber doing what I do best." he shrugged, this was not something he feared, it was something he knew and that he lived with.
"But Celest, what do you think will happen once we are attacked?"

Tehr looked at her, for the first time a look of almost sorrow on his face.
"Celest, the drow have never allowed slaves to be released, it is how our name is so feared, when those doors blow inward and our camp is stormed, if the battle swings against us an order will be given." he sighed, his voice was slow, reluctant. Not wanting to expose more of his peoples behaviour, behaviour he had never liked, never supported, but then had never acted against either.
