Re: Rescue
*Carmilla sighed, relieved when Teak killed that creature, turning to Amaya briefly and shrugging oddly as if to say - I guess you don't have to pick him off for me - but as she turned back around her breath caught.

omal had hopped up and took command of all the students.

In a flurry Carmilla stood up slightly. "What are you..." She hissed to him, but he was already in the pen by the time she blinked.

"Come on hurry." She whispered to herself. "Come on...come on, come on." She urged softly, bouncing slightly when she returned to her crouched position.

"Almost there." She muttered as they neared the exit. They were so close, but still too damn far. Carmilla sighed again, leaning back slightly, her impatience growing, her black eyes scanning the area ahead making sure nothing else was gonna disrupt this rescue.

Re: Rescue
Ali woke up the few students left, head jerking around as the Potions Master gave more instructions. She nodded sharply, helping a few dazed straglers to their feet and leading them to the group.
Ali swallowed hard, straying behind the large group of students with Rena and Pieter, watching the fight nervously as Teak and Alfred literally ripped the Drow to shreads. Her spirits were picking up as they moved closer and closer to the doors out of this foul Hell hole.

Re: Rescue
Serena helped Ali get up the few students that were left and started walking back to the door behind the students. She saw the beatened, battered students. "I hope those creatures pay for this!" She whispered angerly.

Re: Rescue
Ali nodded, a disgusted look on her face as she spat on the ground bitterly. She watched the battered students sadly, wishing she could've helped in some MAJOR ass kicking. She sighed heavily, grasping her wand tightly. "Prof Crowe won't let them get away without paying for it..."

Re: The Whistle is Blown
A single elf walked through the shadows around the worksite, a routine patrol of the tunnel site. A chain wrapped around his hand and a hell hound sniffing enthuasistically at the splatters of blood caused by Drow whips. He sighed deeply, bored but knowing the importance of checking these things he finished his patrol and began to head back to the camp.

The hound stopped suddenly, its head picking up from the ground, nostrils flaring widely as its head titled up high. The elf looked down, pulling on the chain to prompt the dog to keep moving, it didn't budge. Hackles rising as it scented the blood of its brothers, a low whining growl and its handler turned to face its direction.

Staring through the dim light, totally still his eyes penetrated the shadows, he saw movement and his small hand coiled around the collar of his dog. Muttering something he released the hound and trusted its senses, running with it at his heel he darted from patch of dark to patch of dark. Freezing suddenly as he saw the dogs reason for being disturbed.

Slowly he pulled a small tube from his belt, placing it against his lips, eyes set on the trail of slaves moving toward the door. A slow, deep breath, a blasting shunt of air into the magical horn.

No simple note or pitch the magics activated. A shrill, loud scream tore through the chamber, echoing off the walls, bouncing around and filling the ears of evey living thing in the stone chamber.

"TO ARMS, TO ARMS, INTRUDERS IN THE SLAVEPEN." The baying of his hound as it heard the call in its sensitive ear, loud howling as hell hounds across the room took up the call. 300 Drow heads lifting, bodies turning over and standing, turning toward the pen and towards the doors.

The Drow dropped his whistle, drawing his sword, charging the line of slaves, hound sprinting ahead its dreadful snarling, droplets of fiery spit flying from its mouth, trailing back across its fur. Bearing down fast on the would be escapees.

Re: The Whistle is Blown
Serena turned suddenly when she heard a loud, screeching howl. Her heart started racing, they must have been spotted. "Everyone, get to the door now!" Serena screamed. She turned to Ali, "we have to get them out of here! Everyone get to the door now," she repeated loudly. Serena took a couple of scared first years hands and started hurrying them to the door to safety.

Re: The Whistle is Blown
Ali's eye widened. She immediately began ushering the tired students to the doors with frantic cries. She was never any good at keeping calm. "EVERYONE! TO THE DOORS!" She bellowed with Rena, making sure everyone was keeping up.

Re: Let there be light
*Tomal had been leading with great strides, heading as fast as possible for the doors without leaving any of the kids too far behind. The first he had known was the beginning f the shrill alarm scream, he stopped, spinning on his heel, hearing the dogs begin their howling. Without batting an eyelash, cool calm and collected he lifted his staff, even as the cry died down.

As the students began to run in fear toward the door, sweeping around him as he heard a dog closing on them. Ali and Serena shouting and spurring the injured and frigthened kids on. They needed more time, otherwise the Drow would plow straight into them from the camp.

His staff swung up high, a single word spoken calmly, the stone flashed through, a pulse of shimmering light soaring up to the ceiling, an unearthly scream accompanying it, a spell of his own creating. He turned away, moving with the kids again, closing his eyes at the perfect instant as the scream roared through the chamber, knowing the curious Drow would see the faint light and hear the noise, knowing their sensitive eyes turned upwards.

The flash of intense light filled the chamber, exposing all secrets and shadows for a single instant, Alfred clinging to the ceiling, running along it, the Drow heads lifting upwards, blinding white light burning through thier eyes, it would slow them for several seconds, and give an advantage in that their perfect night-vision would be ruined.*

"Not much further." He shouted out, making for the doors, finding a straggler and helping the kid to their feet, moving them along quickly.

*Caks* Not good!
*Carmilla didn't have time to breath with all that went on. At the same moment the whistle sounded she bounced to her feet vaulting the fallen Pillar in front of her, her misting black eyes scanning the area quickly her breath slowing and almost stopping as she took in the scene.

297 purple skinned and chain mail clad Drow warriors at attention, the one that had been patrolling and sounded the alarm now running towards her escaping students*

"No." She breathed at the same time she armed her long bow, both eyes opened, locked on their moving target she waited only moment before releasing her steel tipped projectile.

It ripped through the air a incredible speed a faint whistle being heard as it sped by. Soon reaching its target, the arrow punctured the running elves eye, splitting his sight digging its way into his brain, the speed and power behind that arrow sending him sailing back dead before he hit the ground.

Carmilla glared at her fallen enemy for a moment, her black eyes darting back to Tomal only briefly, shutting her eyes the instant his spell was cast. Just how they planned. Slowly she opened them watching as blinded confusion ran through the Chamber, hearing her students feet pounding across the stone floor towards the exit.

"Wait." Carmilla muttered blinking at herself actually turning the face the exit this time, her eyes wideing as she saw several students slamming into the large wooden door banging on it crying for it to be opened

"@#%$!" She said in a fit a rage, her right hand balling into a fist, her black eyes narrowing she concentrated hard, her lowered hand now glowing a bright purple. Quickly she opened it, a large purple yet clear orb rested in her palm, without a look at it she threw it in the direction of the doors, it flew past leaving a trail of purple light behind it, past ducking head and screaming faces until it connected with the doors.

Many people jumped back scared the door may explode, but it simply liquiified itself again, allowing her children exit once again.

"Go now!" She screamed to all of the astonished faces, only a second later and without question they all bolted through the rippling doors towards down the corridors to safety.

As she turned back her worry only increased, watching in horror as that hell hound she neglected eariler gained his sight back again and started for a small second year who was still struggling to keep up with Tomals quick strides.

"No!" She screamed, there was nothing she could do, all her attacks would kill the child as well as the hound and her arrow wouldnt even phase it.

Her obsidian eyes darted around the darkened area searching for something to save her child, and she spotted it runninf along the ceiling, her black eyes following his very quick movements.

"Alfred!" The only thing escaping her mouth, staring at him for a moment, when he stopped at his named being called, once she knew she got his attention she flicked her pleading eyes to the still gaining Hell Hound, then back to Alfred.

"Please." She muttered swallowing slightly hoping he would do her bidding and save that child

Re: *Caks* Not good!
Alfred clung to the ceiling, head turned and looking down, watching and running with the mass of students. He heard the alarm be sounded, heard hte screams of paniced students and stopped as his master turned, shutting his eyes knowing well what was coming. The flash coming after the sound Alfreds eyes snapped back open, he began to turn, knowing well to cover the rear from attack now, his spot perfect.

A familiar voice, shouting, faint below him he looked down, seeing his masters 'child' her plea obvious. Without a sound, without acknowledging her presence or her call he turned back, shoving himself against the ceiling before showving down. Plummeting to the ground as he released the rock, twisting as he hit halfways, wings flashing out, purple light catching, shining off onyx wings, stretched wide, turning in the air, his eyes fixed on the hound that was but a few meters from the child now.

Wings snapping through the air, shoving him up and forward at unbelievable speed, swooping a meter above the ground his heavy arms lashed forward as the hound leapt, long cruel claws driving into the dogs ribs. Snatching it away as his wings beat hard, pushing him up, the dogs dying howls filling the air as Alfreds clawed feet found the ground, the sound as he hit earth crashing loudly. His other hand driving into the dogs back, lifting it high as he faced the now charging Drow warriors, gaze quickly passing by Carmilla's, a show that it was her bidding he had obeyed.

Hell hound writhing in his grip, high over his horned head Alfred, bellowed. The sound awful to the ears, a warcry, the sound of stone shattering, ripping the air as his hands curled inwards and pulled. Tearing the hound of hell apart over his head, blood raining down over shining stone, a torrent as he marked himself. Drow eyes fixing in fear on the stone beast, he dropped the corpse at his feet, a wet thud. Wings flaring out and back, massive clawed hands sweeping back, his second bellowing roar deafening those too close to him. Knees bending, shoving him up, wings snapping the air again Alfred swept through the air towards the drow. His challenge laid out, blood running off smooth rippling stone to hit the ground as he soared forward, seeking the killing he had forbade himself for many long years.

Victor stood there as the door exploded, he immediatly stepped out and yelled to the other kids "GET THROUGH THE DOOR NOW!" and hurried them through. Then he tured to Peregrin and said "I think we're up, get ready for trouble." and with that he crouched facing the direction they came from, raising his hands.

Re: *Caks* Not good!
Peregrin had waited, watching shadowy figures getting closer with slitted eyes, his tongue and teeth playing with his lips, the alarm made him jolt upright, the flurry of sound and movement and death making him blink.

His eyes opened fully, startling a first year and a couple of other students, there roaring in full flames, orange and reds swirling around one another in an infernal blaze.

Pent up rage rushing to the surface, seeing the gargoyle tear the dog to pieces, practically bathing in its blood Peregrin breathed in deeply, the roar of rocks echoing through him.

"Watch the Elves Vic." he called out, eyes searching, flicking over every face that rushed past, picking them all out easily...."come on Ryleigh.." he hissed quietly, tiny flames curling from his fingertips.

Power rippling through him as tension threw itself into the blend of emotion that threatened to overwhelm him....his eyes flicked again over the crowd. Their suffering, limping, blood covered bodies, the terror in many's eyes, the fear and the wild hoping gaze. His breathing came heavier, faster....
"Ryleigh?" he called out, not seeing her yet as more and more of his schoolmates pushed past to the doors.

He swallowed...knowing she would look like them...knowing their pain his eyes spun over the heads again, intensity of the furnace growing with every face that swept past him. Fires culring from his hands now, rolling up his arms and sinking back inside him...his growing rage evident to anyone at a glance, his desperation clear in his twitching movements...where was she?

Re: *Caks* Not good!
Dark Elves, half blinded by that burst of light stood still, blinking furiously, heads throbbing in pain, eyes stinging painfully. Quickly gaining some vision back they carried on, running slower, more warily as they could no longer see this chamber like it was daylight inside. 297 warriors running onwards, covering that long distance between them and the escapees, spread out thinly and with great distances inbetween as some had to dart into tents and find weapons, others stood blinking still, having been staring straight at the spell when it had detonated its magic.

***************************************

Tehr had left his tent, strapping a few weapons on quickly and going for a walk to clear his mind and do some thinking, the evidence of Ryleighs tantrum and her obvious snapping forcing him to re-consider some things. He had been heading over to the pen when the alarm sounded. He spotted the drow guard quickly, hearing the screams of the kids and knowing that behind him every Drow head would have turned, every weapon drawn and every foot lurching forward quickly to surround the escape and stop it.

The noise though, his eyes flicked up and saw the travelling light, cursing his gut wrenched at him and he slammed his eyelids closed just as the flash of light ruined close to 300 pairs of eyes for the fight ahead. Opening them quickly again and breaking into a run, he saw the guard get thrown back, a perfect shot from a bow and spotted a woman standing. A large creature of black stone bellowing something at the drow, dripping blood. He had seen though that it was the woman who had commanded it and that it had paid homage to.

"Carmilla Crowe." Tehr breathed, forgetting about the escape, forgetting about his personal slave he had kept away from the rest and breaking into a full sprint, hands finding the hilt of one of his wickedly curved, serrated blades and pulling it free. Dreadlocks bouncing out behind him as he bore down on her so far unseen by the pre-occupied necromancer.

((I have to sleep, you know, but let's see what I can do))

*Pieter was walking besides Celest and some first years who where struggling, they where the last in the row when the alarm sounded.

Pieter quickly moved and screamed*

"People, move it, run like hell or else you'll end up there."

*He pushed the students forward, not looking at their injuries, they would have to worry about that later. He guided them till they reached Peregrin and Victor.

"*turns to Celest*, can you continue pushing, I'll see what I can do. *raises wand* I hope this works:"

*Pieter who had visited the secret, know common library of Gryffindor, had mastered a few spells, one improved accio spell.*

"vortex, postulio arcus"

*a white light appeared, showing the contours of a bow and several arrows, Pieter grabbed it and they got their normal shape.

Pieter put the arrows in his money bag, as they once made that money bag very light, they where enchanted to destroy only evil. He put an arrow on it and reached the group again, who had advanced a little bit, dozens of children now through the gate.

Stepping backwards he looked if any of the elves had passed Peregrin and Victor.

Suddenly Pieter noticed an elf attacking the headmistress in screaming rage.*

"CARMILLA, WATCH OUT!!!!!"

*He stretched the bow and looked if he could get it, but he wasn't sure if he wouldn't hit the headmistress. She being a necromancer, she would die only by a wound of the arrow...*

Serena helped the last group of students threw the door. "Just follow everyone else and you'll be fine," she told a group of first years as they made there way to the door. She almost had everyone out when she heard a cry. She turned around and found that a little first year had fallen. She ran back and picked her up. "It's ok we're going to get you out of here ok. Can you get up?" the girl shook her head, she pointed to her anckle. She had spraned it. "Oh no, it's ok. Get on my back and I'll carry you." The girl did what she was told and got on Serena's back. She picked her up and started running back to the door.

Re: Attack
Drow warriors sprinted forward, Tehr's screaming orders as he closed on the leader of the enemy filling their ears, vision hazy for most, dim human sight guided them through the night of the Chamber. Squads forming, groups of 3-5 warriors forming loosely up, lapping around, driving forward for the doors, the first of them could hit the tail end of the students before they left the chamber it they were unopposed.

Groups that had been closer to begin with sprinting with full speed flanked around bothe sides running along the walls toward the doors, towards the pitiful human guards that were stationed there, predatory yellow eyes trying to avoid the flames one boy was sprouting as they screamed out their cries and launched an attack.

Wizards, magical aides drawn drew up to halfway, scattered warriors around them they stopped their spells words filling the air as tehy cast, masses of different light, pulses of magic, beams and bars of power flashed for the doors and those that were fleeing. The baying of the hounds as they were finally unchained to the last one, 17 dogs bearing down on the doors at full speed and behind them, thundering across the ground, a speed and agility that did not belong to such a massive creature as it overtook the trailing fighters.

8 Roaring heads, 16 eyes glaring with hunger at the humans, the hydra closed in, its clawed feet pounding the ground, tail flicking behind it, closer and closer it came.

Re: Attack
*Tomal turned again at the doors, allowing students to flow past him, squeezing through the dorway which suddenly seemed far too narrow. He saw Serena pick a child up and begin to run, Pieter shouting out and summoning a weapon.*

"Pieter, run with the kids, we need speed here not kills." he ordered the prefect. "Get them up the tunnel and out of here."

*Staff lifting high in the air in response to the drow wizard spells that began to come in. Low chanting, a mass generic counterspell, a shimmering haze of null magic pulsing out in a wide semi-circle that grew and buffeted the spells aside as though they had been cast by a child. Mentally going into overdrive his mental eyes ran over the memory of every face he had seen in the prison. Aware also of the Hydra roaring and spitting in its charge. He had not seen Ryleigh, one of the promising students of his house. But there were other concerns right now.

His staff levelled on the hydra, stone beginning to shimmer with oily light. Words chanted out as he began to cast the only spell he could think of to counter this beast.*

Re: Attack
Emma had run with the others as she had heard the Drow yell about attack. She had slipped about twice and her knee was bleeding but she paid no heed to it. Her head pounded in her mind so hard she could barely see straight, but she continued to run with the other students. She ignored the Drow and hellhounds behind her.

Suddenly she slipped again, but she fell backwards and hit her head. " Great." She let out as she winced and layed there for a few seconds, paralyzed with fear and pain. She reached behind her to help herself up, and felt her hurt hand touch something thick, and warm. She immediately struck her hand back up as she saw her hand was drenched in blood. Drow's blood. She wiped her hand on a pillar nearby as she scrambled back up and started to run agian.

Behind her she could hear the screams of the Drow, and she could see Tehr screaming at the other Drow who were confused and startled by their Headmisstres' entrance. Then Emma stopped her running, ahead of her stood the mighty Hydra. She and some other students were seperated from the other's at the doors by this creature. She had tricked this creature before, she only she hoped she could now.

It lashed its first head down at her, in fear Emma cocked her head sharply, a nearby rock flying towards its head. It hit the head and the head looked bemused for a second, long enough to run. Emma ran forward, she beckoned the few students who had been with her to follow her. She was now catching up to the front of the line by the door. Emma froze with the other students around her.

Emma looked around, the Drow were surrounding them, they would not be able to escape. She reached her hand up and wiped her bloody scratch on her face as she waited for the Proffessors to say something.

Re: Attack
((edited the post about Ryleigh, didn't read carefully.))

*Pieter hoped Carmilla had heard his warning about the leader coming her way.

Suddenly he saw the dogs, creatures from hell, with their leader, a eight headed hydra. While he was aiming his bow at one of his head he remembered something he read*

Hydra, one of the most dangerous snakes in the world has eight heads, the largest one is immortal and it can only be killed by removing all the heads and then shoot in his heart or immortal head, it has a poison, very deadly breath and venom.

Pieter: "How nice, first concentrate on the dogs."

*Pieter took three arrows and put them on his bow, placing it horizontally.

He aimed at three dogs who where in front of the attacking hellhounds and shot, two of them straight in the open mouths of the attacking hounds, killing them in a second, while the arrows desintigrated the flesh from hell, consuming it's evilness. The other arrow peered the dogs chest, shreeking he got his end and returned to his master.

Pieter took out another three arrows and looked back to the students, now almost panicking as they had saw the terrible hydra coming straight at them.*

"Don't panic, just keep on going, you will be fine."Pieter said although he didn't believe it, he seemed calm but he was ready to scream in the inside, wanting to panic just like them.

*Pieter heard Tomal screaming something about helping the students get out.*

"What do you think I'm doing? If I'm dead I can't do that and if they get attacked it's gonna be hard."he said while stepping backwards, being the end of the tail, he wouldn't let anything get to them.

*Pieter clobbered the idea they would be fine in his head, took aim and shot again.*

"Tijd om te sterven, time to die."

*The arrows killed another three dogs, Pieter didn't know if he had said that for him or for them, but he would soon find out...*

((edit1: didn't saw your post, Tomal, but I will be the first one killed if the dogs, who are going at and I quote, great speed and are really close,*coughs*, oh and didn't a hydra have nine heads? *shuffles back*

Re: Attack
Peregrin ignored all that was going on, infernal eyes scanning frantically....not seeing the one reason he had come here...he shuddered inside, eyes shutting he lips parting slightly as screams and roars filled his now deaf ears.

"...Ryleigh..." he whispered, she was not here, fires of desperation burnt up his arms,
"Ryleigh..." he hissed, she could not be dead, not her, he would not accept that..yet something inside him did...no void of loss hit him this time...not now...not with her killers surrounding them.

Fire tore from his flesh, licking up golden skin of his toned arms totally sheathing them both in a brilliant blaze. His eyes snapped open again, refocussing in an instant, the world shifting as power seethed with rage inside.

Infernal eyes always betraying his soul, at their worse a fiery blaze grew in their intensity, white hot embers, pure heat burning in him he turned, arms lashing through the air, long tnedrils of flame sprouting from them whips of fire six in total writhing through the air about him.

An impossible sight to believe he had control, yet now it was perfect, now as he wrapped himself in his power, embracing bth what he was and the love fueled rage that ripped reason apart. Drow closing fast he turned on them, the first that would pay for this...pay for her...

"RYLEIGH!" a scream of pure hate, whips lashing through the air, his arms working alongside them spinning and wrists flicking. Two balls of fire sent with the ferocious speed andaccuracy brought about by many months of beater training.

Slamming into mail-clad chests, fire exploding over and around the drow, the blast throwing them both back as others closed. Peregrin ignored his post now, stalking forward to meet the elves, seeing only a world ablaze while whips of fire lashed through the air around him, extensions of his arms, limbs he could grow at will and control with prefect precision.
"SUFFER" as the whip shot out, growing in length, lashing the air, seeking those that would pay.

Scorching the air, two hitting hounds that got too close, something inside Peregrin feeling their fur and flesh burn under his touch, face etched with loathing, the dogs dropped, overcome with pain, fur burning as they caught fire and yelping ran from him.

Arms moving through the air with supple motion, fires whipping at warriors, two more tennis ball sized spheres of compacted flame spinning through the air....if they would not close and fight him he would seek them out.

Whips finding elf flesh, intense light burning their eyes and blinding those that looked at him, heat tearing flesh, flames that now burnt blue in heat fusing armour to skin. No ration left, no reason inside his mind he sought targets, sought vengeance and nothing else mattered anymore. His blood had ignited, his heritage, the capacity for love and for rage only his blood-kin had....
