closed knuckle front (must be a D70 or something) but i keep breaking them???
look down my front, thats not a Dana 30
must be that jeep THING they keep tellling me about
it's just a STOCK yellow

Here, !! I also did this on extreme jeep site and came back from Cape, it was no-more: extremejeep/forum ?. Live East of Rocky Central Queensland/Capricorn Coast I have family near Woodgate (Burrum Shores) and close to Frazer Isl.We go as many places in CQ as we can ! Have some good parks up here if you have the Dirty Weekends CQ camping book, thats where we go ! I hope that guy with all the good oil on Diesel's finds this site ! dieselxj. thanks for the tips before we left.. We drive a diesel xj obviously, with BFG's add a leaf lift 41mm foam/gas over oil shocks and diff. guard thanks to snakeracing.uhf, 6 stacker, counteract rust machine, turbo timer, dana 30front and 35rear with command track part time 4wd system and locking rear differential. This is our daily driver and we do 4,000klms per month. We are happy with the ride , the height and all the underbelly protection..goes anywhere!! (almost)

rebuilt 258 nearly stock ( little port work )
2in spring lift, 2in shackle lift 1/2 body lift
Goodyear MTR 33x 12.5 15
Dana 30 F, AMC20 locked R ( new housing built up )
T5 Gbox, Dana 300, 90l fuel tank
New bars, Front Locker, Winch coming

hey guys
i've got a stock 97 tj with a 60 rear 44 front,longarms , 4link rear 6" lift,1" body and 37" boggers plus more...
and the best part is i built it all myself . it's also my daily driver !

an auto in a CJ5 how did you go with rear drive shaft length, I have heard it can be done but require a fair bit of work particularly if you have a fair size lift
Some bastard stole the other 4 cylinders from my engine

It's a tight fit and not a job I would like to repeat.
Here is my secret formula
Take one sad and sorry 75 cj5
remove very tied old 6 and 3 speed
add a HQ rad
dual thermo's
Small block 350 with short water pump
A fresh TH350 (even the TH400 was to long)
Bolted up to a dana 20 via a Advance Adapters Kit
put the whole together and hang it between the frame rails for about a month while working out the placement.
Point the nose of your Dana 44 skyward and add a lot of blood sweat and tears..
