OMG!! I'm hoping Paul wouldn't agree to come back for a bad storyline again, so maybe there is hope for KnS!
I'm happy, in a mean way, that matie are so pathetic that tptb keep bringing back Katie's past with Simon over and over again. Tptb must know matie don't compare to KnS and would really prefer PL to stay.

You know tptb prefer PL as Simon. SKatie! I can't believe this. First, Simon leaves and then I fall in love with PRo. Now, Rosanna is gone and Simon comes back. Anytime I try to cut ATWT loose, they find a way to reel me back. I read spoilers/rumours about Paul/Meg/Emily and if it happens, I'm ready to boycott ATWT for a really long time. However, since PL is back, how can I do that now?

BTW, I'm so buying the magazine. I read that ATWT "has high hopes" to persuade Paul Leyden to stay even longer. OMG, they want him back so badly! Now, is there any way we can get Hunt Block back?

3 months is a little short...if all Simon does is wreak havoc for Katie & Mike, I'm all for it..if he stays longer, then I'll be fine with them pursuing a reunion. Just please...no more triangles where Simon is the bad guy!
TPTB have been trying to get PL back since he left..so that speaks volumes. I'm just surprised that he's finally decided to come back considering all the crap he had to play during his last two returns. Maybe he really is getting a GOOD story this time around.
I'm also excited about Damien..I hope he doesn't come across looking like a bad guy again..although I didn't love him any less in Malta..and that was the first time I've seen the character.

You know i want to be really happy about this but i have got mixed feelings. I love PL as Simon and I love Skatie but really what is the point in this 3rd short term return? with MC in contract talks likely to stay and Nick in her orbit what is the point of a 3 month Simon return?
What can they do in 3 months except cause more damage. I don't want to see Simon as an obstacle to Matie but what else can it be? They can't do a storyline with too much depth because 3 months is not enough time. They are not going to have Katie realize that Simon is her true soulmate and love of her life have them back together and then he leaves for a 4th time. I don't get it. My dream story would be Katie and Simon somewhere in those 3 months sleep together and she gets pregnant no WTD storyline she knows it is Simon's child. Because then there is a reason for any future returns but i know that is never going to happen so i don't know what to think. I think if it were a long term thing i would be a little more happy because then i would at least be more hopeful of a good story. Sorry to be such a downer

Who knows. For one thing, if ATWT has been trying to lure PL back, why would they consider making Simon the bad guy when it's out of character? I'm sure Paul would walk if ATWT was set on destroying Simon and SKatie even further to pimp Matie. There's has to be more. Paul has agreed to come back, so something must be in our favor. It's wishful thinking and a little bit of logic on my part, but if ATWT wants him back, they can't give him a crappy story.
BTW, not only are we happy, but Terri also! She misses him a lot. I can't wait for her reaction in her upcoming interviews (hoping she has another interview).

I've been lurking on this board for a while now, going through renewed Paul/Simon/S&K withdrawal for the past few weeks after I dug up an old tape and started reminiscing--and now HE'S COMING BACK??? Holy smokes, talk about a miracle!!!
I know I should probably calm down and not get my hopes up, considering what happened the last time they brought him back, but hope springs eternal and I have to believe that Paul wouldn't have agreed to come back if Simon was just going to be ruined further. He's so protective of Simon's character, and he must not have been too thrilled with the last storyline--maybe this is TPTB's way of making it up to us??
I'm a Days fan too, and I keep remembering when they brought back Matt Ashford in 2001. That too was supposed to be a temporary return. 5 years later, he's still on the show and Jack & Jennifer are now back together (well, sort of--if only they didn't have to do this stupid "Jack is dead but he's really not" storyline). Miracles can happen, everyone, so let's hope for the best. I never in a million years thought that Matt would come back or that J&J would be reunited. And even though their storyline has not been perfect (far from it) these last 5 years, the bottom line is that we fans made TPTB take note and they gave us what we wanted: a redeemed Jack and a J&J reunion.
If we give TPTB an onslaught from S&K fans, they'll have no choice but to listen. And if the stars are aligned, maybe Paul will decide that ATWT is home and he'll stay for good--then we'll get our couple back together .
I still can't believe he's coming back! I'm so excited/nervous/wary/emotional. I dread the worst case scenario, but I am crossing my fingers and toes we get our wish...

P.S. Nice to see so many familiar faces on this board. I used to post on the Other Beautiful Things board as "MsCubReporter" and I even met some of the folks on that board at a Paul & Terri fan lunch in NYC once, right after Paul had left the show (I'll never forget someone asking Terri at that lunch who she wanted Katie to be with now that Simon was gone, and she said, "No one!" ). Here's hoping we get our miracle and this board becomes active again as we gush about our reunited couple!!

I'm so excited! I just hope that he stays longer than 3 months! I think it's a good sign, when he says that he's considering staying longer, and ATWT is trying their hardest to get him to do that!

IS THIS TRUE? I can't believe it----and my prayers are answered. Even if he only stays 3 months, it will be heavenly to have him back for that long. Where was the original announcement posted, I mean was it in a Soap magazine, or where?

You have great timing! We've been wishing for a PL return and we finally have one! It goes to show that PL has talent. He's turned Simon into a favorite like how Hunt Block did to Craig.
This news backs up those "rumours" we heard about TPTB trying to bring back Simon months ago. It finally happened. I've been in Simon heaven since I found out about it. OMG, now if only we could get Hunt Block back. I miss Simon and Craig's scenes. I'd love to see them catching up with their little comments....hehe....

I'm still amazed by the eeriness of it all, the fact that for the last 2 or 3 weeks I had been reminiscing about S&K out of nowhere seemingly, and then look what happens! I think we've just sent a ton of good vibes into the universe or something.

Maybe your instinct was telling you something. It's amazing how it works. This happened to me with other shows and actors. I LOVE THIS!
I can't wait for all of us to discuss Simon/SKatie's storyline. I'm still shocked, but in a good way. YAY!
