Did you like the fireworks?
When I was doing a student placement in London, back in the days, I once went to a fireworks display that was going to be set up by my mentor's son. I got to help set it up! He said to me 'Too bad we don't have another set of goggles and ear plugs, otherwise you could help light it'.
That was one of the best days of my life. I put some eight inch tubes on stakes into the ground and put the explosive into them.

They had to set it off early because they thought it was going to rain (it never did). It was still pretty good.
That would be a ton of fun! I do stage lights for that reason, I get to make all these cool displays and color effects that look so cool. Sometimes I can sneak up into the lighting booth and just play with the board.

Ok, I dont really get into fireworks... girlie I suppose, I just think there are much more useful ways to use explosives... pragmatist is what I am.

Python did a sketch where they shot people at first, then blew them up, then blew their houses up, then ended with hiroshima, indeed. We're following in their footsteps here.
Mart: 10 out of 10 points, for liking bigger and bigger explosions.
Cherithh: 2 out of 10 points, 1 for making the effort and 1 for being cute.

It is just American. It marks the date the first person signed the declaration of independence and officially separated ourselves from England.
