Re: Destined Hearts
Now, I'm usually one to keep my composure (most of the time), but Camiel's actions were really geting me excited! And what my love did next didn't help any either. She got this really impish grin on her face and started saying things to me. Really naughty things! I've never heard her talk like that in all the time I've known her. She kept telling me all the things she wanted to do to me and how much she enjoyed having me at her mercy. I have to admit seeing this side of Cami was really turning me on!
"I noticed you like my breasts a lot, kesobo. Well, now you're all tied up so you can't really touch them can you?"
Gods, she's teasing me! She just had to put them right out of my reach, didn't she!
"It's ok, my love. I'll touch them for you!"
She then started to describe how soft and wonderful they felt and how pretty they were. I found myself pulling at my restraints. I about completely lost it when she showed me something else she could do with those lovely breasts of hers. I had no idea she could do that!

Re: Destined Hearts
I could really tell that I had my fiance riled up when he started pulling at his restraints. I was playing with my breasts right in front of him and there wasn't a thing he could do about it. Now that's torture! I decided to tease him even more by 'stimulating' myself in front of him. I was laying right there beside him having a grand ol' time without his participation. I could tell he wanted to get at me bad. He started panting, grunting, and growling. He struggled to get loose, but it was no use.
"I know I make you hot, my love. I know you want to take me."
That was about all he could take before he started begging me to undo his restraints. Eventually, I let him go, after I could tell that he had calmed down a bit. I didn't want him pouncing on me as soon as I set him loose.

Re: Destined Hearts
"You do realize I will get you back for this, alixia."
"I'm not so sure. Then again, I did earn this little reward, did I not?"
"Yes, you did. Trust me, when we get on our honeymoon, I will make certain you receive total retaliation."
"Oh, really?"
"Yes, really. You're not the only one that can divulge in their dark sides, and I doubt you'll want to see mine."
"I might. You never know..." Then he started pulling me into an embrace and talked to me in his language. I liked it when he does that; I find the whole thing quite erotic, even though I couldn't understand a lot of it.
Re: Destined Hearts
The following day was pretty laid back. I spent some time getting my bare neccesities together for our week of separation. I was a little concerned about something, but was keeping quiet about it so I wouldn't get my love excited for nothing. My cycle was a few days late, but I wasn't sure if I was with child or not. I decided to give it a few more days before saying anything to Sh'Ekrah.
We got more calls that day. Aunt Zan called to see if I needed any supplies before she came with Mahda at the end of the week. I told her I was ok so far. Sh'Ekrah's mother also called. But she didn't call to speak to him. She called to talk to me. She explained the Hash'a'Glith wedding night ceremony to me so I'd have some idea of what to expect.

Re: Destined Hearts
Okay, I think I got it. The ritual starts with me stripping my mate, then he removes my dress to reveal a rather tight garment underneath, which gets ripped. The ritual itself is separated into four parts. The first is 'Joining', where we start to move as one. Our palms are leaned against each and they move like a flowing river. The second is 'Equality', where we move in completely opposite directions with our bodies to show the balance between us. The third is 'Respect'; I was supposed to show that by taking his sash from the floor and giving it to him, but Lady Kes (she insisted I call her by her name since I'm going to be family) suggested that I would have a better time if I played a bit of tug-of-war during that part. The final part is 'Devotion', and that part's about the easiest. We say a little prayer of thanks to the gods and engage in actual intercourse. All right, Joining, Equality, Respect (not too much, though), and Devotion. How hard could that be?

Re: Destined Hearts
Camiel and I spent the next few days packing for our honeymoon. She seemed a bit nervous about something, but I wasn't sure what. I asked her about it, but she said everything was fine. So, I left it alone. I was glad that my mother had explained the ritual to her. I was sure my love would do just fine.
Our last night together before the wedding was quite emotional. Cami started to cry, telling me that she didn't want to be away from me. She felt that one week would be too long to be without me. I reassured her that we would be together again soon. When we made love, it was as if we just couldn't let each other go. The following morning we didn't have time for tears. Around 9 AM things got pretty hectic. Camiel's parents and a family friend showed up for the final day. Lady Detia and Phantom had come to relax Camiel's hair. While the ladies fussed over my fiance, Master Mikel asked me to have a seat in the living room. We had an interesting little talk.

Re: Destined Hearts
When I sat down to let Mahda put the relaxer in my hair, she sucked her teeth and shook her head.
"Chile, I never seen hair so nappy in my life!" she complained in her Jamaican accent.
"Sorry, Mahda. I'm not used to wearing it natural like you."
"Well, I might as well get to work."
I winced every time she managed to pull my tight curls apart to apply to chemical treatment. My hair is long so I knew it could take a while to complete the process. We struck up a conversation to pass the time.
"So, did you enjoy your little 'vacation', Sunny?" Zan asked.
"Oh, very much so!"
"Did he hit 'the spot', baby?" Mahda asked point blank. Zan snickered at her straight forwardness.
"There was no way he could have missed it, Mah!"
"That big huh?"
"Bigger than Pahda, I'm afraid."
"Oh Lord! I'm gonna have to get Papa Toussaint to say a prayer for you!"
"Why? I have all the prayers I need!" I laughed.
"Ok, baby. Just make sure you've got plenty of extra lube on top of all those prayers." All three of us bagan to laugh. Eventually, I told Mahda and Zan how I was feeling kind of down about being separated from my love for a week.
“Chile, I was separated from your Pahda for FIVE CYCLES! A week is nothing! Now get yourself together!”
Mahda was right. A week is nothing compared to five cycles. I hoped that our time apart would pass by quickly so I could be with him once again. We could always contact each other with the ky gom (soul touch) until we were able to see one another again.

Re: Destined Hearts
Okay, I hear females laughing. Just turn the other way and mind my own business, I think to myself. I focused my entire attention on Master Mikel. This is awkward; me getting a lecture from a lower-ranking officer. It doesn't help that I'm older than his own ancestors. Then again, I've never been married before, he has. I could immediately tell that he's just as nervous as I was.
"And well, sir," he continued. "You'd better treat my daughter right. If you make her cry, I'll break your neck (if she doesn't first, that is) and I say that with all due respect."
"Understood."
"And you do realize that marriage is a big responsibility."
"Yes, I do."
"It is about the most important part of one's life."
"Yes, I understand that."
"And it's not going to be ruined by your own direct actions, is it?"
"No, it won't."
"Well, then, I am content. Just go over what I said during your retreat and all should be fine."
Re: Destined Hearts
Evening arrived way to fast in my opinion. That meant it was time for Sh'Ekrah and I to head for the Temple to our respective chambers. Mahda and Aunt Zan had finished my hair, braiding it so that it wouldn't take that long to perfect on my wedding day. Ah my love and I walked up to the temple hand in hand, I could feel my heart pounding. I took deep breaths, trying to calm myself down. When we got to the entrance, I knew it was time for us to part ways. After kissing me good bye, Sh'Ekrah started to go one way, but I wouldn't let go of his hand at first. I pulled him into a hug before finally letting go. Gods, this wasn't going to be easy for me at all.
When I was closed in my chamber, it was so quiet, and I felt so lonely. I didn't sleep that much that night. My stomach was hurting badly. Turns out my monthly had finally come. I was a little disappointed and relieved at the same time. After laying there thinking of nothing but my love, I was finally able to go to sleep.
I spent most of my days in meditation. Occasionally I would communicate with my love through our bond. I missed him very much, and I could tell he missed me too. He seemed to be handling it better than I was though. I often found myself crying, especially at night.

Re: Destined Hearts
My precious lady...I know this is hard for her; she's never been taught to handle something like this, after all. During the entire week, I can feel her depression and lonliness. Even when we communicate through our bond, I know she misses me. How I longed to be at her side...to be able to comfort her. Gods, this is killing me, but I need to stay focused. With our work, we'll probably be apart like this a lot, even though we are able to make time for each other. The truth is, being separated from her like this worries me. I don't like being without her as much as vice versa, especially after that incident with Keedra. I think if it wasn't for our bond, I would go crazy not knowing if she's all right or not.
I worry for her, a lot. No matter how many times she tries to reassure me, I worry about her. In our relationship, we share a lot of things; time, cultures, enemies...the last one is quite a trip. We both have enemies that are very powerful. And after what Mon*Star tried to do to her, I went harder on the Mob than ever. I made certain they learned that if they ever mess with Camiel, they better pray she deals with them before I do. Not proper military protocol, but it seemed to work. Of course, after I told Cami about that fight with Mon*Star, she made me promise not to do anything to jepordize my career. It wasn't that she was embarassed with my actions; she just didn't want me to get into trouble because of something that happened to her and I'm grateful for it. I'm sure the Mob is too; after all, that promise I made is the only thing between me and their wretched necks.
It's a good thing I insisted on a private wedding; Chatts once said that the entire base was being flooded by reporters and photographers 24/7. At least I know that if either the Mob or the MATI somehow hear about this wedding, they'll attack the military chapel rather than the temple. Won't they be embarassed when they don't find what they're looking for? Well, as long as I know nothing mortally or supernaturally possible can go wrong on our wedding day, I am content.
The entire week seemed to go by quickly. As soon as the wedding day arrived, I waited for Chatterbox. He was supposed to get here so we can go over any last minute details, but...*sigh* leave it to that bird to be late at a time like this. Why, oh why did I ask him to be my herald?
Edited by: Charra Loon at: 3/26/02 3:35:56 pm
Our wedding day finally arrived. I had made sure to get plenty of rest. I was so excited that I would get to see my love! Mahda and Seska arrived early to help me get ready. First, they helped me put on the special, tight fitting under garments. Then they helped me put on my dress. It was so beautiful! It was off white , sleeveless, with violet passion flowers embroidered on the edges of the skirt and on the bodice. My tiara had violet colored water roses woven into it. It was finally attached to my long, cream colored veil. After Mahda and Seska put the finishing touches on my make-up, I was ready to meet with my groom. Mahda went to sit with everyone else in the temple while my herald gathered up her hand bells and we waited for the groom's harald to announce his arrival.

Re: Destined Hearts
Okay, the wedding's arrived, I'm all set to meet my future mate, and...my herald (who has finally arrived) has gotten his talons caught in the bells and cursing.
"Chatterbox, watch your beak!" I snapped. "This is a sacred place."
"Sorry, hermano." he replied. "These blasted bells won't get off of my--" He finally got the bells untangled--at the price of them breaking into a million pieces. "Don't worry; I have back-up in store just in case." Back-up? I'm afraid to find out what that is. About a few minutes after he left, I heard two blasts of an air horn. Tell me that isn't the back-up.
"MAKE WAY FOR THE GROOM! MAKE WAY! CLEAR THE PASSION FLOWER PATH FOR HIS ARRIVAL! I REPEAT, CLEAR THE AREA! GROOM COMING THROUGH!" Then two more blasts from the air horn. Okay, it's official; the first I'm going to do upon returning from the honeymoon is strangle that parrot. Then it was Sapphire's turn to announce my bride's arrival. Please don't be as bad as Chatts...
"Make way for the bride! Make way! Clear that passion flower path for her arrival. Are you people deaf?! Clear that path, now!" Okay, that was getting carried away, but at least she used the bells. As soon as I saw my future, nay, my world in view, I forgot all about the terrible proclaimation. Okay, aside from that...interesting introduction, so far so good.
Re: Destined Hearts
Ok, those proclamations were a bit jacked up, but it could have been worse. Once I saw Sh'Ekrah, my mind went to more important things. With each step, I came closer to becoming Lady Brightlight. This is the happiest day of my life! Seska held her hand bells high over her head as I walked behind her, holding my head high. I was surprised that I wasn't nervous. I just felt so full of joy! This is the day I had been preparing for. Finally the heralds met at the beggining of the passion flower path. They stepped aside to let my handsome groom take me by the hand. Right before the processional, I gazed into my love's eyes.
This is it! The day we've both been waiting for!
I could tell he was excited too. He gave my hand a gentle squeeze as we made our way down the path.

Re: Destined Hearts
Each step we took seemed like an eternity. From the background, I could hear Aunt Jade and Cherri sing the procession. It made me think of all that we've gone through to find each other.
My heart is yours
Your heart is mine
What’s mine is yours
What’s yours is mine
Two hearts together
Intertwined
Two hearts, one love
Two souls, one mind
As long as I shall live I’ll be
Your love for all eternity
Let nothing come between true love
Sent by the gods from above
Two hearts forever
Intertwined
Two hearts, one love
Two souls, one mind
Our hearts are destined to be one
Now that our journey has begun
Let our guide be the divine
Two hearts, one love
Two souls, one mind
They changed the lyrics a little to suit this special occasion, but it was great nonetheless. As soon as we reached the altar, my heart just about leaped from my chest. Once both blessings from the High Priest and Elder were said, we were to say our vows. I just hope I'll remain cool enough to remember.
Re: Destined Hearts
I knew if I looked out at everyone else I would get even more nervous, so I focused on my love as he made his vows.
“I, Sh'Ekrah Gil'Ack Brightlight, swear to the gods to be a true and loving mate. I vow to support you, to worship you, in times of ill and times of wellness, in sickness and in health. I promise to share with you my hopes, my dreams, to be forever by your side in darkness and light. I will allow no obstacle, mortal or supernatural, to ever break our bond of true love. You are my strength in the storm, my guiding light in the darkness. You are my refuge and my shelter. In friendship and love, I commit to you my soul, my eternal essence.”
As he made those vows to me before our family and friends, I could sense the deep love behind those words. We had each written our own vows, so I knew every word came from his heart. It was my turn them. I took a deep breath and spoke the heartfelt words I had written for my true love.
“I, Camiel Jezel Meglouse, vow to be a loving, faithful spouse. I promise to treat you with the utmost respect at all times. I will do everything in my power to make sure you are happy. I promise to be loyal to you in good times and hard times, when you are well and when you are ill. I promise to be a loyal and faithful friend and lover, giving of myself to you unselfishly. I will love you with an unconditional love and be quick to forgive. I will let nothing and no one come between us. I make this eternal commitment to you both now and forever.”
By the time I had gotten to the end of my vows, my voice was quivering and I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. Thank Vasah I wore water proof mascara!

Re: Destined Hearts
Once our vows were said, Ka'Quari brought out a huge goblet filled with a deep red wine. That was the blood of the Geia'Qui, which we were to drink to seal our bond of marriage before the gods. Ka'Quari slowly poured the wine from the goblet into my hands. I presented the 'blood' to Cami, who drank from my hands. After that, she cupped her hands, received the 'blood' and let me drink from her hands. This represented our new interdependence of each other. Finally, our respective heralds presented our marriage bracelets. They were linked by the charm Camiel and I choose as the emblem of us. It was a Terran wedding band. We took both ends of the charm, broke it in half to represent our individual selves and exchanged braclets. We stood before our family and friends as we were announced as mates and entawans. Cami was about to make her way back to the passion flower path when I pulled her back.
"What?" I whispered to her. "I don't get to kiss the bride?" Then I took her into a passionate kiss. For the first time ever, I'm able to show my affection in public to my love...my mate. Life certainly doesn't get any better than this!
Re: Destined Hearts
Sh’Ekrah’s kiss had me wanting to skip the reception and head back home! I wanted to toss the bouquet and the garter myself right then and there! But I knew our families and friends wanted to celebrate with us. My entawan and I made our way back down the passion flower path hand in hand. Our limo was waiting outside. Zeek was our chauffer.
“Well hello there! Is this the happy couple?” he greeted.
“Hi, Zeek! It’s good to see you!”
“And it’s good to see such a lovely bride! And you look great too, Brigadier, sir!”
“Why thank you, Zeek.”
Zeek opened the door for us and my mate helped me inside. We kissed and cuddle the whole drive there. When we arrived at the reception hall, most of our family and friends were there. I even saw Pidro with his entawan, Hatia and their son Prince Eris. It was so good to see my relatives and share this happy and blessed day with them!

Re: Destined Hearts
Wow...I never dreamed that the reception would be so wonderful! It was so much like a dream; a perfect dream. About an hour into the reception, that crazy entawan of mine 'accidently' dropped a fork and went down to get it, only to come back up with that and my garter. All the single men gathered round when they saw that.
"All right, men, settle down." he said. "As you know, the Terran tradition requires me to throw this and whoever catches it will receive luck in finding a mate. However..." He then walked right up to Kyle and actually handed him the garter! "There are just some people who need the luck more than anyone else in the galaxy." Sh'Ekrah gave Kyle a good pat on the shoulder as everyone else bursted out laughing! Oh, Vasah, he has such a sense of humor! I figured since that was all done, I decided to throw the bouquet. I think the Fates (or Chatterbox, depending on who's first) have something in store when Lorie ended up catching the bouquet. Kyle merely gave her a shy yet smug look of desire.
"You've gotta be kidding!" Lorie had shouted. "If I'm going to find a mate, I'd like him to be a man!"
"And what am I?" Kyle replied.
"An arrogant, snot-nosed, concieted, armored playboy jock!" With that, she stuffed the boquet right on his head! Poor Kyle...gotta feel sorry for him after that.
"I thought the garter was supposed to give him luck." my mate commented.
"You were supposed to throw it, after all." I answered.
"Well, can I help but feel sorry for him?"
"You're still crazy."
"As always, for you, Milady."

Re: Destined Hearts
The reception was going perfectly. I could tell Milady was really enjoying herself. At one point Camiel's father tapped a wine glass to get everyone's attention.
"I would like to make a toast to the newlyweds." Master Mikel had a very serious expression on his face. Within moments he had everyone's undivided attention.
"I never thought the day my only daughter, and my oldest child, got married would come so quickly. It seems like not long ago she was a wide eyes and curious little girl who couldn't wait to explore the world. Now she's a woman, and is now in the care f her life mate. It's going to take some time for me to get used to this situation, but I don't mind. I can tell she has found a loving, and dedicated mate who I am proud to call my son-in-law. Here's to a happy and blessed future for the both of you!"
After making the toast, Master Mikel looked over at me and smiled, giving me a nod of approval. That's when I realized he had truly accepted me as part of his family.

Re: Destined Hearts
Things were going pretty well. At least, until Chatts took the stage. By the gods! Please tell me he isn't going to sing!
"All right, ladies and germs!" he announced. "Are we having fun?" The crowd roared an affirmative. "Good! Now it's time for the lovely couple of my (and the gods') creation to have their first dance! Uh, Phantasma, I'm gonna need your help here!" Phantom just shook her head and joined Chatterbox on the stage as Cami and I made it to the dance floor. "Hit it!" Chatts instructed as music started to play.
I was counting down the minutes,
Was wishing on a star.
I was praying for a sign, trying to beat the odds.
I was dreaming of you and the force of your face,
There you were, waiting for that day
When you, you wen through the hurricane,
When you, baby, you called my name.
Well, at least he's mimicing some other singer instead of doing it himself; doesn't sound half bad at all.
You went through the storm,
And you turned back the night.
Baby you are the fire, burning the midnight sky
And your love is taking me higher,
Just when all hope was gone and the hero belongs.
There you were.
I deeply concentrated on my love and our future lives together; soon, it seemed it was only us and this music.
As the broken heaven,
Just to roll back the clouds.
Were you on a mission? Were you seeking me out?
Was I there, one in a million,
Was I there one sacred kiss?
That you couldn't chance, you just couldn't miss?
And you, babe, you whispered the silent tears,
When you, babe, you swept away all my fears.
You went through the storm,
And you turned back the night.
Baby you are the fire, burning the midnight sky
And your love is taking me higher,
Just when all hope was gone and the hero belongs.
There you were, babe.
Standing in the middle of nowhere, with your arms wide open
And you
You were the reason when there was no reason in my life
You're the reason in my life.
You went through the storm,
And you turned back the night.
Baby you are the fire, burning the midnight sky
And your love is taking me higher,
Just when all hope was gone and the hero belongs.
There you were.
You went through the storm,
And you turned back the night.
Baby you are the fire, burning the midnight sky
And your love is taking me higher,
Just when all hope was gone and the hero belongs.
