That weekend, Tamjol, Centav, Juyo, my best friend Ladia and I all hung out together at Mirror Lake. We had a great time. I showed Tamjol and Ladia my promise stone. They both thought it was so pretty.
{So, when are you guys gonna get married?}
{Well, both Juyo and I plan on attending university. Once I complete my studies we'll both be elders. We'll get married then.}
Soon, we turned out attention to Tamjol and Centav.
{So, how are things going between the two of you?} I asked.
{Great! Centav is so sweet and smart and funny! He even asked me to be his permanent partner in our traditional dance class.}
{Really? Way to go, Tamjol! You did accept, right?}
{Of course! We're going to talk to Lady Lsa about it first thing next week.}
Well, it lookd like things were going really well for the both of us in the romance department. Or so we thought.

Everything seemed so perfect. Lady Lsa allowed us to become permanant partners. The whole school was calling us a couple. Then she came into the picture. Coti (glow) Adams, a Tch\human girl I've known most life. Her parents, who used to be movie stars, moved here after she was born. I've see Coti flirt with all the boys, even if they had a cheri beri. Now she was going after my Centav!!
We were eating lunch in the cafeteria when I saw her coming over. She crept up behind Centav like my jamahda's bat... no... cat when she goes after her jinglebell ball.
{Hello...} Coti started as she placed a hand on Centav's shoulder. She didn't seem to are that my face was already getting red.

{Um, hi, Coti,} Centav responded as he lifted her hand from his shoulder and moved closer to me. Coti didn't seem discouraged though. She sat down right next to us and tried to talk to Centav some more. There was barely any room on the bench so she was practiaclly sitting on top of him. That's when my boyfreind stood up, causing to fall right on her butt! Coti looked kind of mad when everyone began to laugh at her. I thought that would be the end of that. For a while, Coti left Centav alone. We had grown quite close. I was hoping that he would give me a promise stone soon.

I was the school library to get a book on Earth artists when I over heard Coti talking to one of her friends.
{I'm going to go over to his house and get it his room. One night with me and he'll never think about another girl.}

Coti explained as I listened from the other side of the book case.
I had to talk to Coti. I couldn't let her or anyone steal my man.

I got ready over a my friend, Favi's (Pet), house. I had two reasons. Her place is colser to Centav's and my Dad. He gotten used to most of my Madha's customs, but he's still not totally comfortable with my collection of men.
Perfect little dress, makeup, hair... Everthing.
{Your serious about this!} Favi remarked as I looked myself over in her full length mirror.

For a moment I thought he was going to slam the window in my face, but I kept my cool. Finally I heard a 'sure' and I swung my leg over the window sill. Being a touch taller than even a Mua I had little trouble. Now Centav could get a good look at me.
{Change your mind, hansome?} I said striking a seductive pose.

At first, even with my massaging he continued to write. It was not at the fevered pace as before. Finally he stopped and relinquised hold of his pencil.
{See, it won't hurt to take a little break.} I cooed softly.
Soon, I had him right where I wanted him. It wasn't long before he was putty in my hands. Sometimes I wonder why it's so easy to seduce these boys. We had a nice time that evening. Of course, I just had to tell my freinds all about it at school the next day.

The next day, I noticed Centav was acting kind of funny at school. Like he was hiding something.

When lunch time came around we got another visit from Coti. She stopped by to talk to Centav, of course.

When Tamjol left I wanted to get up and try to talk to her more, but Coti put a hand on my shoulder. I stay at the table... Maybe it's better if I let her cool off. Coti started saying something though I wasn't paying much attention.
When Tamjol and I got together at her house, she seemed unhappy about something.

She shot me a quick glance and I noticed her eyes looked moist. Something was definitely wrong here.

What Coti and Centav had done to my freind made me so angry! It also angered Juyo. I didn't realize how angry he was until the following school day when he confronted Centav.

Tamjol and I were coming out at the end of the day. and saw Juyo standing by the sidewalk outside the school grounds. We could both tell his face said 'don't mess with me'. Even from a distance. We walked over to him, but not without passing Coti, Favi, Centav and a couple other boys. The were lauging about something.
{Okay, who's Coti and Centav?}
{Coti's the tall teal girl with the human looking face...} Tamjol replyed pinoting to Coti and her group.
{...And Centav is the salmon skined guy with the red hair.}
{Thanks.} Juyo said as he walk over to them.
We couldn't believe what we saw next. Juyo grabbed Centav by the collar of his hirt and raised him of the ground.
{I heard what you did to TJ, you piece of farndah.}

Centav quietly asked Juyo to put him down. That just made my betrothed even angrier! That's when he slammed Centav against the wall and let him fall. He then got on top of him and started pounding on him with his fists. Amidst all the commotion, I noticed Coti didn't step in or try to find help for Centav. That's when I slapped the b*tch.
{How can you just stand there and let your boy get beat up like that?}
{He's not my boy! He was just a conquest. Disposable like all the rest.}
{You make me sick!} I screamed as I slapped her again then went to get Juyo off of Centav.

I couldn't believe the way Juyo had gone after Centav. It was like he was my betrothed. Tamla was so lucky to have a man like him.

Juyo was going a bit overboard now. Centav didn't look concious.
I didn't realize how bad I had beaten centav. I must have zoned out. My pahda does that too when he gets really mad. It's even worse when he's high. Anyway, Tamla was finally able to get me off of him. Once a teacher showed up just about everyone dispersed, including Coti. Boy was I in big trouble! i was suspended for fighting on school grounds. I knew I should have waited till we got to our neighborhood. My parents were not happy with how I handled things, even after I told them why I did what I did. Centav was ok in the end...except for being terrified of me for the rest of his born days. Tamjol seemed surprised that I stood up for her like I did.
{TJ, you are my friend, and nobody hurts my friends and gets away with it.}
{Juyo, you didn't have to do what you did...but thanks anyway.}

After that things pretty much calmed down. Once I my suspension was over and I was back in school, I learned that Centav had found out how Coti really flet about him and dumped her. The idiot tried to talk to Tamjol again, but she wasn't hearing it. Smart girl. As for Tamla and me, we were getting along great and were very happy together. We would often talk about our future together. We both wanted to have children, and many as we could. We were both only children, and I've always wanted a big family.

Oh Vasah! I can't tell him I'm not fertal. He'll break off the betrothment for certain. Maybe we can adopt because I'm not sharing my Juyo with anyone.
