(Chatterbox)
I couldn't remember much after finding my mama's remains. There was the burying of what was left of her in some remote area of Wings of Freedom and then back to base. I needed a good rest after what happened tonight. All the while, I'm thinking that this was the first time since my escape that I've ever seen any member of my family. Damnit, that bastard's going to pay for this.
Next morning, I reported to work, on time for once, and noticed the Governor was waiting for me. Jesus, was I that bad, or is he still pissed at me about last night?
"Chatterbox, we need to talk." he said with that look in his eyes that reminds me he's got ice water in his veins instead of blood.
"Uh, sir, if this is about my matchmaking attempt--" I started.
"We can deal with that later. Right now, I want to know your actions regarding that Dollmaker character."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Why would he want to know anyway?
"Chatterbox, if there's some personal vendetta that I need to know about concerning the situation, you better tell me now."
"None of your business." I was getting incredibly annoyed at the interrogating.
"It is my concern if you decide to go on some revenge-seeking expedition that could possibly jepordize us capturing this scoundrel." Okay, that does it! Now I'm ticked off.
"You wanna know? Fine, I'll tell you! That
bastardo murdered my family and he would've killed me if I hadn't escaped! On top of that, last night I had the mispleasure of seeing my dead mother fall to the floor like a little dolly! Ya happy?!" I was beyond riled by then.
"No, I'm not."
"Oh, of course not! Who would be happy after a massacare of an entire family?! But don't worry, sir, it's not like you can feel what that's like, since you don't have any damn feelings anyway!" All of a sudden, I saw it. His face began to swell with hurt and something told me I had gone too far this time. At the moment, I didn't seem to care.
"I'll leave you to your work then." he said, his tone icier than usual and then went into his office and slammed the door.
Dios mio, what have I done now?
