Seeing Cherri waving her breadstick in front of his face, Shadowhawk was in awe at her beauty and took a bite as well. All of a sudden, he feels his heart beat at an incredible pace.
Kumo (clutching his heart, feeling ecstatic and thinking to himself): Cherri's so wonderful. I've never felt this much alive when I was working with Mon*Star. Around her, I feel human.
Afterwards, he slowly sits next to her and shyly puts his arm around her waist and holds her hand, feeling true love in his heart for the first time, wondering what will happen next.

Cherri smiled and laid her head on Kumo's shoulder.
"Sweet, isn't it?"
"Yes, very sweet."
"I like sweet stuff. You seem kind of sweet too." She than gave Kumo a kiss on the cheek. She handed him the bread stick, indicating that she wanted him to feed her next. "I like lots of frosting."
Kumo dipped it in the creamy frosting, getting as much on it as he could, then put the dessert up to Cherri's mouth. At first he teased her with it. After Cherri was finally able to take a bite from it, she had a bit of frosting on the corner of her mouth. Without even thinking, Kumo leaned over to kiss Cherri, tasting the frosting and her lips at the same time.

Seeing Cherri in love has changed the way Shadowhawk behaved. He was still part of Mon*Star's Mob, but now he has feelings for someone other than himself and Erebus. He now sees new opportunities.
Kumo (looking at Cherri): You know, back on Earth, I never cared about anyone other than myself. After meeting you, I see a new light.
Cherri (looking back at him): You must've been quite a wild card on Earth, Kumo-chan.
Kumo (blushing): I was a bit rowdy, but I'd like to relax once in a while.
Cherri: I see. So, what do you think about me so far?
The shadowy one almost froze himself with compassion and has become nervous on what to say, but he was going to be brave and admit it.
Kumo: Cherri Berri Hasua, I think I love you. (thinks to himself) Man, that's nerve-racking!

Hearing Kumo say that to her made Cherri realize she felt the same way about Kumo.
"You know, I've been with Umi for all this time, but I'm just now realizing I've never really been in love...until now." She hugged him close, nuzzling his neck. "I never really had a chance, you know. This is the first time in a long while I haven't felt lonely." She gently kissed his neck, hugging him about the waist.

Shadowhawk now has Cherri close to him and gave in to his compassion and returned his love to her slowly and lovingly to enjoy the moment. The shady one took out a CD of Cherri's best romance single.
Cherri: I didn't know you're a fan of my work.
Kumo (snuggling with her): I have been ever since I relocated to Limbo.
Cherri: Kumo-chan, you're full of surprises.
Kumo: I know.
The music kept on playing as the two lovers cuddled in the night under a starry sky. But, elsewhere in Limbo, things aren't as lovely and peaceful! Mon*Star became his super-powered form as he and his pet Skyrunner is wreaking havoc trying to find Shadowhawk.
Mon*Star: Forward, Skyrunner! When I find that arrogant Terran, I'm gonna RIP OUT his feathers ONE BY ONE!
Mon*Star's actions have not gone unnoticed. Moonstriker was doing reconnaisance work and decided to report in.
Moonstriker: Hawk Haven, this here's Moonstriker. Mon*Star's gone plum loco looking for our "favorite" Hawk.
Quicksilver: Shadowhawk's missing? There's a first.
Moonstriker: Best bring all the Hawks for this one. If Hawk Shady's gone, you bet Mon*Star'll go wild trying to flush him out!
Quicksilver: Thanks, Moonstriker. (pushes the alarm) Attention all SilverHawks! Mon*Star's on the loose destroyin everything to find the missing Shadowhawk! Scramble ASAP!
Back at the Omni on Bedlama, the shadowy warrior and Cherri were just relaxing after a night together away from the madness of Limbo.

Cherri was feeling pretty good about things while laying there with Kumo. So good that she started to softly sing along with the music disc.

Cuddling Cherri snugly in his arms was pure bliss for Shadowhawk and for once didn't cause destruction like Mon*Star ordered. He listened to her beautiful voice and in his loving embrace, kissed her romantically.
Kumo: You sing lovely, Cherri. You have a lot of talent.
Cherri (blushing and smiling): Arigato, Kumo-chan. You're quite a talent yourself.
Kumo (returning the smile and kissing her): Arigato, Cherri-koi.
Cherri went giggling before kissing Shadowhawk again, knowing that "koi" is Japanese for "beloved". Getting the pleasantries out of the way, the two turned in for the night.
During the night unbeknownst to the guests in the Omni Hotel, the SilverHawks were on Mon*Star's trail hoping to lure him out of harm's way. Ever since Shadowhawk's disappearance, the tyrant went mad in an attempt to find Shadowhawk and make him suffer for disobeying orders.
Also, unaware to everyone, Meilin Mao broke out of the Penal Planet with the help of an aide still loyal to the Apollo Red, even after Shadowhawk destroyed the entire syndicate.
Mao: Now that I know where you hide, Yingyao, you won't escape my wrath!

Cherri woke up inthe middle of the night still cuddled up next the Kumo. He was still sleeping peacefully.
So, it wasn't all just a wonderful dream.
She kissed the sleeping human before quietly climbing out of bed. She stretched and yawned, rubbing her hand over her eyes. She went to the bathroom to freshen up a bit. When she came out, she put her kimono on and slipped on some silk pants underneath. By this time, her lover was sitting up in bed.
"Where are you off to, koi?"
"Going to get some snacks from the machine down the hall. Want anything?"
"All I want is for you to hurry back." Cherri smiled and bent down to give Kumo a kiss.
"I'll be back in a flash."
"Promise?"
"I promise, Kumo-chan."

Shadowhawk was seeing Cherri leave for the vending machine and was smiling with love and ecstasy.
Kumo (thinking): Things are finally looking up for me. Nothing plans to spoil the evening for me. Better see what's on TV.
Shadowhawk turned on the television and immediately a news reporter informed anyone of the special report.
Anchor: This is a special report. Limbo Galaxy officials from the Penal Planet has confirmed the escape of young Meilin Mao, granddaughter of the Apollo Red syndicate is fastly approaching Bedlama. And this just in. Also, approaching Bedlama is Limbo Galaxy public enemy #1, Mon*Star the Planet Master. It is unconfirmed that they have joined forces but the SilverHawks will be alert for any assault from either of them. Stay tuned to this station for further developments.
Turning off the TV, Shadowhawk looked even paler when he first became a member of the Mob. He knows WHY Mon*Star's heading for Bedlama and he DEFINITELY knows why Meilin Mao's going there, too.
Kumo (in fear): Oh, MAN! Mon*Star's gonna be so mad! And Meilin Mao! OOOH…What she'll do to me!
Shadowhawk grabbed his things as well as Cherri'sthat she left in his room and ran towards her near the vending machine.
Cherri: Kumo-chan, what's wrong?
Kumo: Some people I know are after me! We gotta leave now!
Shadowhawk transformed into the SilverHawk armor that Mon*Star made for him, put Cherri on her back and zoomed out of the Omni Hotel and all over Bedlama. The SliverHawks were patrolling Bedlama keeping an eye out for Mon*Star and Meilin Mao, but are keeping an extra eye on Shadowhawk, just in case he appears.
Quicksilver: This is a strange case. Shadowhawk disappears, Mon*Star and Mao are after him, and Shadowhawk has not attacked anyone ever since.
Cmdr. Stargazer: That's what's puzzling me. Why is Shadowhawk acting this way? Steven and Aurora told me what happened at the dance with Shadowhawk, but not what I expected from him.
Quicksilver: We'll keep you posted. Once we find Shadowhawk, we'll ask him why Mon*Star is on his trail.

Cherri was very worried that two dangerous people were after Kumo.
"What are we going to do? Can you think of any safe place for us to hide?"
"I'm going to have to think of something fast. If my boss finds us together, he won't be pleased at all!"
"Why?"
"Long story. Then there's that crazy wench, Meilin! Trouble seems to find me where ever I go, Charri." Kumo sighed.
"I think I might be in trouble too, Kumo-chan." Shadowhawk gave her a questioning look. "I mean, what am I gonna do when Umi comes looking for me?"
"Oh, yes. This look like it's going to be a difficult romance...but being with you will be worth it."

Zooming over Bedlama with someone on your back is no picnic, but Shadowhawk had no choice. The Nightmare can be easily picked up on radar and knowing Mon*Star, he'll find it.
Kumo: Some vacation THAT turned out to be!
Cherri: Kumo-chan, things may be bad now, but they'll get better.
Kumo: You don't know my boss, Cherri. He's a real monster when you walk out on him. What your husband and my one-time fling would do to me is CHILD'S PLAY for what my boss'll do.
Cherri: He must be so tyrannical like Mon*Star.
Kumo (with a sigh of anguish): He IS Mon*Star…
And speaking of Mon*Star, Skyrunner picked up a SilverHawk scent and urged Mon*Star to follow it.
Mon*Star: A SilverHawk scent? But they're not here yet, unless you mean…then by all means, FOLLOW THAT SCENT!
Mon*Star has picked up Shadowhawk's scent but he was too far away. Meilin Mao was looking down and saw Skyrunner moving as fast as he could.
Mao: Giant squid move pretty fast. That mean Yingyao must be here! Watch out, Yingyao! I'm coming for YOU!
The Hellcat took off putting the thrusters into overdrive as determined than ever to reach Shadowhawk before Mon*Star. The SilverHawks were in the Maraj seeing Mon*Star and the Hellcat going at top speeds.
Bluegrass: Heads up, Hawks! Looks like Mon*Star and Meilin Mao have found Shadowhawk! It's time to as Will would say run an interference pattern.
SteelWill: Couldn't have said it better, cowboy.
Quicksilver: OK, SilverHawks. Take precautions. Remember, Shadowhawk may be AWOL from the Mob…
SteelHeart: …But he's still a royal pain in the butt!
SteelWill: My sentiments exactly!
Bluegrass released Quicksilver, the Twins and the Copper Kid to intercept Mon*Star and Mao before they reach Shadowhawk and before innocent lives become endagered. But right now it's more like Shadowhawk is the one that's endangered as Cherri hangs onto him like glue.
Kumo: There's Seymour's hack! Come on!
Cherri: Careful with the power dives, Kumo-chan! Don't forget I'm here!
Kumo: I'll try, Cherri.

"Hey, Cherri! We meet again!" Seymour greeted. He did a double take when he saw Shadowhawk there with her. "Hey, that's Shdowhawk, you know what I mean! I can't have the likes of you in my cab! Mon*Star would tear me apart!"
"Please help us, Seymour!" Cherri Berri begged.
"Yeah, I'll even pay you extra if you get us out of here safe! I don't want anything to happen to Cherri!" When Kumo looked over at his beloved, he could tell she was truly frightened. "Don't worry. I won't let anyone hurt you, Cherri."

Seymour knew Shadowhawk's reputation, but he would never see the day that Shadowhawk wasn't causing trouble.
Seymour: I don't believe what I'm hearing! THE Shadowhawk actually HELPING Cherri Berri? This is getting ridiculous. You know what I mean? (opens his doors) OK, Shadowhawk! Get in, but no funny stuff, you know what I mean?
Kumo: Thanks, Seymour! Now step on it!
The cab took off like a rocket going through Bedlama's busy streets trying to shake Mon*Star and Mao approaching at full speed. Shadowhawk rolls down his window and fires his lasers at Skyrunner and the Hellcat.
Mon*Star: Get back here, you traitorous worm, or I'll make you sorry you ever crossed me!
Mao: Yingyao, you die 1000 deaths for this infidelity!
Kumo (in the cab, rolling his eyes): This is not gonna be a good day.
Cherri: Head down that street up ahead!
Zeke: That's the Bedlama Freeway! It's rush hour!
Kumo: Just do it!
Seymour: OK. Hold on!
The cab heads down the ramp and into the Bedlama Freeway where it was jammed from one end to the other. Skyrunner couldn't see where Seymour's cab was even if it stood out in the crowd. The Hellcat was running out of fuel and had to refill.
Mon*Star: BLAST! I lost him! Head into outer space, Skyrunner. We'll ambush Shadowhawk from a different vantage point!
Shdaowhawk looks out the window and sees that Mon*Star and Mao are off their trail, but nearly froze in fear when they saw the Gold Team fly near the cab.
Kumo (passed out cold, thinking to himself): The SilverHawks! If they see me inside here, they'll think I'm causing trouble! I think I need a vacation from my vacation!

Cherri knew if the SilverHawks cought her and Shadowhawk together, they might think she's been kidnapped by him. Somehow she had to let them know that Kumo meant her no harm and that she was with him willingly. But how was she going to do that?
"Kumo-chan, now is not the time to pass out! We've got to think of something before they send you to the Penal Planet! I love you, Kumo, and I don't want anything bad to happen to you!"
Seymour and Zeek's eyes widened with surprise at Cherri's words.
"ZEEEEK! Did she just say what I think she said?"
"Zeek, as far as we're concerned, it's none of our business and we heard nothing! Big ears, big tears, ya know what I mean?"
The two cabbies decided to keep Cherri and Kumo's secret to themselves for everyone's sake.

Shadowhawk woke up and became conscious but is still shaking like a leaf knowing that the SilverHawks are on his trail. Cherri can only comfort him trying to ease his nerves as Seymour and Zeek were trying to outrun the Hellcat and Maraj.
Seymour (looking back): The most feared criminal in Limbo with a sensitive side? This is weird, you know what I mean?
Zeek: I know exactly what you mean, Seymour. Best take the scenic route out of Bedlama.
The cab planned to head up into outer space with the Hellcat, Maraj and the SilverHawks Gold Team in hot pursuit, but up ahead was Mon*Star and he's loaded his Star Rifle and planned to aim directly at Shadowhawk.
Mon*Star: Hold steady, Skyrunner while I put daylight through that traitor!
Along with Mon*Star, the Wicked Zoomer and the Limbo Limo were ready to intercept the SilverHawks and anyone foolish enough to interfere. Hardware, Windmammer, Melodia, Poker-Face and Mumbo Jumbo were awaiting orders.
Hardware: OK, gang. Get ready. Mon*Star says no one gets close to the cab. Then we strike.
Poker-Face: We'll be ready. (thinks to himself) Shadowhawk, why are you doing this?
Melodia (thinks to herself): Oh, Shadowhawk. You're getting on Mon*Star's bad side now. Please be careful.
Seymour's cab was just out of Bedlama's orbit going past Hawk Haven as the cahse pursues, but after 5000 Limbo Miles, Mon*Star was waiting and planned to attack the cab. Shadowhawk was shocked to see what's happening up ahead.
Kumo: Oh great! It's Mon*Star! And is he mad!
Seymour: Hey, Shadowhawk. I don't care what happens, but any damage to my cab is added on to the meter, you know what I mean?
Kumo: With Mon*Star, that's the least of your worries!
Then all of a sudden, laser fire cam from behind. It was the Hellcat firing rapid-fire shots arounnd the cab.
Kumo: Shot at by Mon*Star and shot at by Mao! Not a good day!
Cherri: Kumo-chan! What's going on here?
Kumo: I don't know, but I'm planning to do something about this! Stay inside and keep down!
Shadowhawk opened the door and flew out to face Mon*Star and Meilin Mao and planned on using a special signature attack he invented and shot two beams of dark matter around him.
Kumo: DARK SYMMETRY! Unleash your fury!
Dark Symmetry is Shadowhawk's signature spirit-based attack that blasted the Maraj, Hellcat and the Mob's vehicles back for about 2000 Limbo Miles. Afterwards, he hopped back into the unphased cab and had a different direction.
Kumo: To Procellia, the Planet of Storms and hurry!
Zeek: Procellia? That's Tempestra's home planet!
Kumo: I DON'T CARE! It's the only safe place I know!
Seymour: OK, Shadowhawk. Man, you're drawing more attention in Limbo, you know what I mean?
Afterwards, Shadowhawk relaxed in the back seat with Cherri worried as ever about what will happen next after Mon*Star and his Mob, the SilverHawks and Meilin Mao getting hit with the Dark Symmetry.
Cherri (rubbing Shadowhawk's head and chest): Poor Kumo-chan. I hope he'll be alright.

Unfortunately, the Space Hack wasn't able to make it to the space prot before being intercepted by the SilverHawks.
"All right, ShadowHawk! Outta the cab!" Quicksilver shouted.
Cherri got out first instead.
"Please don't take Kumo! He didn't mean any harm! You're probably thinking he kidnapped me, but I'm with him willingly!"
"Please step aside, Lady Hasau."
Cherri hesitated. She didn't want them to arrest Kumo because he hadn't done anything wrong.

Shadowhawk was up a creek without a paddle and had to somehow stall this routine stop from the SilverHawks. The Gold Team was shocked to hear Cherri stand up for the shady one.
SteelWill: Are you insane? Rooting for the other team will get you penalized for this.
Cherri: I don't care. Kumo-chan left on his own will to visit me after the Ball.
SteelHeart: I did remember seeing Shadowhawk at the ball, but I never thought he'd show feelings for anyone other than himself.
Quicksilver: You mean to tell me after all this time, Shadowhawk was with you and didn't force you into this?
Cherri: Yes, that's right.
This gave the SilverHawks some thought knowing that Shadowhawk had a human heart after all. Shadowhawk was in his armor awaiting what the SilverHawks will do. The Copper Kid especially was worried for his fellow Mimian to side with Shadowhawk. Then the Gold Team turned to the rogue warrior.
Bluegrass: OK, sidewinder. We're letting you off with a warning because ol' Cherri here likes you. But that don't mean at all that you're on our good side.
Kumo: I understand.
Cherri: Thank you, SilverHawks.
Kid: Cherri, are you OK?
Cherri: Yes, Jaxx. I'm alright.
The SilverHawks let Shadowhawk fly away to go after him another day, but the shady one was still in hot water. The Space Racer was speeding towards Shadowhawk and Skyedanseur was riding. Shadowhawk was about to fire the Dark Symmetry thinking he was set up, but Skyedanseur fired her laser at the rogue Hawk from long range!
Skyedanseur: I got him! I got Shadowhawk!
Cherri (with a look of horror into her eyes): NO! KUMO-CHAN!
Cherri rushed to Shadowhawk's aid, but he lay motionless in space. The young idol gave an angry look to Skydanseur and cried on top of Shadowhawk.
Skydanseur (looking puzzled): What's going on? We bagged the most feared villian in all of Limbo!
SteelHeart (yelling at Skyedanseur): Yeah! But he wasn't causing the terror like normally! He had a lover's fling if you would!
Skyedanseur: Sorry. I didn't know!
But as the SteelHeart and Skyedanseur were arguing, Mon*Star came and interrupted the situation, having Skyrunner brushing Cherri off with one his tentacles while using his other tentacles to snare Shadowhawk and take him back to Brim*Star.
Mon*Star: If it were up to me, I'd finish all of you off! Right now, I've got bigger fish to fry!
The SilverHawks were seeing Mon*Star leave with Skyrunner carrying Shadowhawk. Before Cherri got brushed off, she gave the shady one a special necklace for him to remember her by. Back at Hawk Haven, Skyedanseur had been put on probation for a Limbo week's time as Commander Stargazer and his daughter were looking over the reports.
Cmdr.: I'd never thought I'd see the day that Shadowhawk of all people would go soft.
Aurora: I know. Ever since that day at the Ball, Shadowhawk's odd behaviour was starting to become clear.
Back in Skyedanseur's room, the Kid was talking with her about the latest developments.
Skyedanseur: I know. I KNOW! I thought Shadowhawk was the cause. I still remembered the day he shot Michael during the Apollo Red case.
Kid:You'll be OK. I'm wondering myself, too.
Skyedanseur: Who'd have thought Shadowhawk would act this way?
The Kid left Skyedanseur's room and found Cherri near the hangar as the SilverHawks made repair on Seymour's cab.
[Translated]
Kid: Why didn't you tell us Shadowhawk wasn't starting any trouble?
Cherri: He told me he needed a vacation from the Mob. Hard to say that were true. I jsut worry for him now.
Kid: We'll do all we can to help Shadowhawk, but we're not promising much.
Cherri: Thank you, Jaxx.
Back on Brim*Star, the Moon*Star's radiation treatment on Shadowhawk was put on high intensity as Mon*Star was watching from his throne with great disappointment at Shadowhawk's current behaviour. Yes-Man was operating the controls, but is secretly worried for the rogue's safety.
Mon*Star: I want Shadowhawk to become a supreme warrior, Yes-Man! A few Limbo hours with the radiation chamber should teach him respect for Mon*Star!
Yes-Man: Yes, boss. Respect. (mumbles to himself) Like you show any for us.
While the radiation is underway, Shadowhawk is feeling the effects but also around his neck underneath the armor was Cherri's necklace and also a bit of DNA from her. That one day with Shadowhawk has changed his life forever and will foretell of something big for the shady SilverHawk.
