When the four ThunderCats returned to Cat's Lair, Wily Kit rushed to tell her twin brother about thier battle.
"Oh wow, Kat! It was so wild! There were Mutants everywhere! And the Mutank and the TunderTank were facing off and then Endora got pushed between them, but Panthro jumped out of the Tank to save Endora and the two Tanks crashed! They eboth totally scrapped! Anyway, we kicked the Mutants asses in the end. Angora Hills is kind of a mess, so we'll be helping them put things back together."
"Aw, gee, Kit! I wish I could have been there for all the excitement. How did Panthro feel about his baby getting smashed?"
"He was surprisingly calm. He seemed more concerned about Endora," Kitra continued with a sly grin.
"Really? Oooh, what happened?"
"Nothing much. I could just tell she's finally warming up to him."
"All right!" The ThunderTwins gave each other a high five. Their matchmaking scheme was really taking off.

Manwhile, Panthro was in his workshop looking over what was left of his ThunderTank.
"Hmmm...definitely totalled. But maybe there are some parts I can salvage." As soon as he said that, a part of it collapsed on the floor, just missing his foot. "Then again, maybe not."
He sighed, then turned around when he saw someone come into his workshop.
"Hey, Endora! What's up?" Endora quietly walked over to look over what didn't even resemble the ThunderTank.
"Whew! What a mess!"
"Oh, it's all right. I can always build a new one. So what brings you here?"
"Well, Panthro, I...I wanted to talk to you." Panthro then faced her to give her his full attention.
"What's on your mind?"
"I just...wanted to thank you for what you did for me today."
"Endora, you don't have to thank me. I didn't do it for thanks. I did it because...I care about you."

Endora started to blush, looking down at the floor. Panthro placed a finger under her chin, lifting her face to his. She turned her face away.
"Endora, what's wrong?"
"I don't understand."
"Don't understnad what?"
"How you could be interested in a jinx and a spaz like me," Endora continued, tears forming in her eyes. "I mean, we both know it's my fault your ThunderTank got totalled."

"You are not a jinx or a spaz, Endora. You shouldn't blame yourself for this. The ThunderTank's no big deal; I can easily build another one. After all, I am the best mechanic in all of Thundera. Things like this happen, Endora."
"But--" Before she could say anything else, Panthro interrupted her with a kiss. Startled, Endora pushed him off of her. "What was that for?" she asked.

Meanwhile, two mischivious teens were up in an air vent watching the whole thing.
"Did you see that, Kit?" Katran gasped. "Panthro just kissed Endora, right on the lips!"
"Aww... but Endora pushed him away. Wait a minute! It looks like she's gonna kiss him back. Yes! She is!"
"Wow, I didn't know Endora could kiss like that. Hey, where are the going now?" Kat pondered as he watched the pair exit the workshop hand in hand.
"Not sure. You think it's a safe guess they're heading for Panthro's quarters?"
"Maybe...Let's go see!"
"No way, Kat! Those two deserve thier privacy!"
"But we're never gonna know what happened unless we see for ourselves!"
"Kat, you don't fool me! You just want to see Endora naked!"
"Do not!"
"Do too!"
"Well, maybe I do, but that's not the only reason!"

It wasn't long before the other ThunderCats noticed a change in Endora. She had become more relaxed and much less nervous and clumsy. She was also much more outgoing. The others also noticed that she and Panthro were spending a lot of time together. When they had free time, they would spend it together to go for walks, to talk, get to know each other better, and see where thier relationship was leading them.

After what seemed like several months, a special package was delivered to Panthro. He immediately took it and went straight to his workshop. He unwrapped the paper carefully. "Ah, Third Earth gold!" he said as he examined the block. "Purest stuff around. To think I once considered the metal junk!" Then he went right to work on a special present for Endora.

The other ThunderCats wondered what Panthro was up to in his workshop. He wouldn't allow anyone to disturb him. Everyone finally found out what had him so occupied when he presented Endora's gift to her before all his friends.
Katran and Kitra gave each other a knowing smile as Panthro asked Endora to be his mate and she gladly accepted.
"This happy event definitely deserves a celebration!" Lord Lion-O announced. Everyone began cheering, except for Snarf. He knew he had to prepare all the food and that was going to be a lot of cooking.

"My congradulations, Panthro, Endora." Willa said. Suddenly, she collapsed. Lion-O eagerly helped his mate up to her feet. "I'm fine, darling." she said. "The baby just gave a little kick, that's all." She rubbed her swollen belly in anticipation.
"That little kid's definetely like you, Lion-O." Pumyra joked. She then instructed Willa to meet in the infirmary for a prenatal check-up. Meanwhile, Endora was looking over the loyalty necklace when she saw an inscription bedded in the chain.
To my love, eternally true; never shall I be separate from you.
She looked at her betrothed and gave him a huge hug. Life was looking really good now.
It was soon obvious that the baby was doing more than just kicking. Hours later, Princess Lyna was born to Lord Lion-O and Queen Willa. The ThunderCats were experiencing one happy occasion after another! Endora, Keeper of the Cubs, was made Princess Lyna's official guardian. Soon after Lyna's birth, Panthro and his betrothed were wed in her home village of Angora Hills. Her parents and her brothers happily welcomed the powerful warrior into thier family.
Panthro and Endora Thornclaw made quite a formidable pair. Just the mention of thier names struck fear in the hearts of Mutants and awe in the minds of Thunderians. They were truly inseparable. They could face any obstacle together. One day and enemy struck closer than any other foe they had ever faced. The attack was not on thier home or thier freinds, but was literally within Endora's body. The signs of this attack were revealed when Endora felt great pain in her throat. At first she thought is was caused by a common cold. However, she knew things were serious when she began to cough up blood. In a panic, Endora hurried to see Pumyra in the infirmary. Pumyra examined her throat and took a swab for testing.
"Endora, do you feel any pain?"
"A little. My throat's been sore for the past few days."
It took Endora great effort just to speak those few words. It had become almost unbearable to speak. Beacause of the pain, she decided to write down what she had to say unless speaking was absolutely necessary.

Pumyra soon came to Endora with the results. Endora has gotten a cancer in her vocal cords. Good news was that the tumor could be removed. But there was a price; the vocal cords had to be removed as well to avoid the cancer from spreading. Time was running out and it was either Endora's life or her voice.

Endora's eyes filled with tears as she heard the verdict. She wrote that she wanted to speak to Panthro. The pain in her throat frustrated her, she wanted to speak, but could not because of the pain.
Panthro came in, and immediately enfolded his beloved lady in arms. "I love you, Endora", he said, kissing the top of her head. "I will do anything in my power to keep you with me. I have already begun to learn sign."
She relaxed as she heard these words. He had already thought about it, and accepted the disability that would be the price she would have to pay for her life. "I love you" she rasped out, despite the pain.
Just then Pumyra came back in. "Have you decided?"
"Yes, she has", Panthro answered for Endora. Pumyra glanced at Endora, and she nodded to the medic.
"Then we will schedule the surgery immediately", Pumyra said to both of them.

By first light the following day, everyone in CatsLair knew about Endora's plight. The Lesser Cat was very grateful for the support and love from her freinds and her mate. When the time finally came for Endora's surgery, Panthro spent as much time as he could with her before she was sedated. Before Pumyra injected her with the sedative, Endora signaled for her mate to lean in close to her.
She managed to get out "I love you" in spite of the pain. Panthro kissed her and whispered back, "I love you, too."
Panthro stepped out of the med bay as Pumyra sedated her patient. Soon, Endora was unconcious.
The operation went smoothly. Pumyra and Tygra informed her that her throat would be tender for some time, but that discomfort should go away with time. While his mate was still a little groggy, Panthro came to the medical bay to take Endora to thier bed chamber to rest. Edited by: Detia1 at: 8/18/02 7:24:24 pm

Eventually, Endora was able to adapt to her current lifestyle. Snarf had learned sign language as well and all of Endora's charges were learning it. Even little Lyna learned it rather quickly. Endora had especially fond affections of the young Princess, who inherited her mother's spirit and her father's courage. Not to mention his mischevious streak and temper. She was especially sensitive to people who made fun of her dual heritage. Endora tried her best to have Lyna understand that people don't understand what's different from them, but it wasn't until Lyna turned twelve, and went to the ThunderCat Academy that she finally understood. It only tempered her rages in those difficult times, if only a little. Two years later, Lyna and a few other cadets were going to Third Earth for special training. Endora hated to see her go, but little did she know that Lyna leaving Thundera was the best thing that could've possibly happen in the events to come.

Up until then, the deadliest and most dagerous enemy the ThunderCats had ever faced was MummRa. Once the demon preist was finally defeated by Lord Lion-O, the Nobles felt they could face any foe and come out victorious. That is what they believed until they faced a new enemy who was even more powerful, more sinister, and more dangerous than MummRa.
Gen-Ta was unlike any enemy the ThunderCats had ever faced. He was more viscious, evil, and calculating than 20 Mum-Ra's. While Mum-Ra's weakness had been his reflection (for a time), then his pride in the end, Gen-Ta didn't seem to have any of those shortcomings. The Noble were not prepared for such an enemy and found themselves under horrible circumstances. All of them, especially Endora, discovered that he was a master of torment and misery.
In spite of the ThunderCats' valient efforts, all of them found themselves prisoners of thier powerful enemy. They watched helplessly as one by one the Nobles fell. At first they couldn't believe Lord Lion-O and his mate were the first perish. Gen-ta seemed to take so much pleasure in thier deaths. He especially enjoyed killing the mated ones in front of their partners. Such raw emotion and pathos. It seemed he viewed it as entertainment.

Re: Full CircleWho would've thought it would be this easy to conquer this realm? Gen-Ta thought as his invasion commenced. The Anicent Spirits of Evil had released him from the tomb Mumm-Ra imprisoned him in a millenium ago, demanding he make up for his rival's follies. Hard to believe Mumm-Ra had such difficulty in supressing these ThunderCats. Of course, that is what happens when you rely on converted mortals rather than true demons.
He looked over the bodies of the nobles; he had them crucified post mordum as a warning to all not to defy him. "There's three nobles left," he said to himself. "One escapes me for the moment and two are right in my grasp." He looked towards Endora and Panthro, who were his current prisoners. He started to look at Endora and decided that she would be useful. "What are the secrets of your people?" he asked her. "Tell me!" Endora just glared at him in defiance. Gen-Ta threw her to the floor hard, and noticed she didn't scream from the impact. In fact, nothing from her came out. "You can't speak, can you?" he said. "Such a pity. You must have had a beautiful voice one time." Endora just gave Gen-Ta another glare. "Perhaps you'd like it back? I can do so, if you tell me what I want to know. How about it, my dear? Your voice for a consultation?" Endora just scratched at his face, the marks quickly healing. "I'll take that as a no...but believe me, my dear, when I'm through with you, you'll wish you were joining your comrades. No one defies me and escapes my wrath. Of course, you're very, very pretty...yes, you are..."

"Get your filthy claws off of her!" Panthro growled. He may have been injured, but he still had enough strength to try to protect his mate.
"And what are you going to do about it, oh 'Mighty Panthro?'" Gen-Ta jeered. "You can barely move, let alone fight!" In spite of the pain and his weakened state, an angry Panthro pulled on his Thundranium restraints. The demon merely laughed at his weak efforts.
"You know I was going to kill you lovely mate in front of you, but now I have a better idea. I don't know how someone as ugly as you got a female such as this. I'm about to find out just how entertaining she can be."
Gen-Ta grabbed Endora by her long tresses and roughly pulled her toward him, pinning her down on her back. She struggled to be free of his grip, but to no avail. When she saw the look in his eyes, she began to tremble in fear and disgust. Gen-Ta then looked over at her mate.
"I will have this pretty female right in front of your face. What do you think of that, 'Mighty Panthro?'"
The evil one took the torment to another level by calling servents to force Panthro to watch him violating his mate over and over until she was covered with sticky fluid. Gen-Ta then dragged her over to her mate, forcing them to face each other.
"Your female was so very entertaining. Why don't you give her a kiss for me to show gratitude?"
Gen-Ta pushed her toward her mate, but Endora turned her head from Panthro, tears of shame stinging her eyes. Panthro hated to see his mate cry, especially when he couldn't do anything about it. He wanted so much to hold her and comfort her.
"Endora, I should have never let you come to this battle..."
The Lesser Cat pulled from her captor's grip long enough to sign, [It's not your fault. We're in this together till the end.] His mate then touched her loyalty necklace causing the ThunderCat to smile. Gen-Ta didn't like the way things were going between his last two prisoners, so he decided to end this touching moment by ending Panthro's life.

Endora could only watch in horror as her beloved Panthro was beheaded right before her eyes. Gen-Ta then ordered that he be crucified upside down and his head be nailed between his legs. Gen-Ta was the master of cruelty and humiliation. He had already managed to break the Lesser Cat's spirit and he had only just begun her torture. The demon slowly circled the sobbing heap that was his enemy. In spite of her pitiful state she was still very pretty. He could have killed her, but he had another idea. He would make her his personal slave. He immediately ordered his servants to strip her naked and clean her up.
"My personal slave must be presentable."
His servants quickly obeyed and soon she was washed groomed. The finally presented her to their master naked as the day she was born. She was a pitiful sight with her head hung in shame and down on all fours. Gen-Ta knelt down to ask his new plaything a question.
"What is your name, slave?"
With a shaky hand, Endora wrote her name in the sand.
"Wrong! From now on your name will be Mia, an ancient word for 'mine' because you now belong to me! You will do whatever I tell you or face serious consequences! Do you understand?"
Endora slowly nodded and her tears fell into the sand beneath her. She made it seem as if she had accepted her fate, but she would keep an eye open to any opportunity for escape.

Endora spent the next several months in misery. She was forced to do everything in the nude and was made to sleep on a huge pillow in Gen-Ta's personal chambers. She spent most of the day on a leash and by the Master's side. Occationally he would humiliate her further by stroking her like a pet and speaking to her in condescending tones.
After several months passed, the evil sorcerer noticed that his pet was getting a little round in the belly. He called for one of his servants to examine her.
"Master, she is indeed expecting. From what she had told me in wiritng, she was aware of her condition before coming with the others, but had not told her mate or anyone else for that matter."
"Ahh, so the offspring is not mine. A pity." He knew it would be the ultimate humiliation for a female ThunderCat to bear his seed. Unfortunately, that blasted Panthro did the deed first.
"Master, would you like us to terminate the pregnancy?"
"No. I have plans for the little furball. Once she has has the child weaned, I want you to separate him or her from it's mother so I can put the child to use for my plans. By the time he or she is born I'll think of something." Edited by: Detia1 at: 3/1/04 10:18 pm
