Full Circle
"Endora Thistletail! Endroa! Wake up!" Endora woke up with a start to those words. When her vision cleared she saw the face of an elderly Snarf in hers. "Endora, you over slept!"
"Oh no...I'm so sorry Snarf," she moaned. Her first day on duty and she oversleeps. Not a good way to start out. As she got up to get dressed, she prayed that her day wouldn't get any worse.
After a quick breakfast, Endora headed to her duty station. Cheetara said she would meet her there to show her what she had to do. However, when she got there Cheetara wasn't there. There was someone else waiting to train her. She felt a tightness in her stomach when she saw who it was.
"Morning, Endora."
"Morning, Panthro."
"Cheetara told me that you're going to be covering for her for about an hour before you go help Snarf in the nursery. I'll be right over here if you need help with anything or have any questions."
"Ok. Thank you." Endora sat down at Cheetara's station. She knew what to do, but her being nervous made her hands all shaky, making it hard for her to work the controls.

As time slowly passed, Endora stifled a yawn. Pumyra had warned Endora that monitor duty could be quite boring. All the images on the screen seemed to melt together. She found herself day dreaming about mountains of candy fruit and chocolate. A hand on her shoulder snapped her back to reality. She looked up and saw Cheetara.
"Endora! I see you made it. Thanks for covering for me. Didn't have any problems did you?"
"Umm...no."
"Good. Well, you can go help Snarf in the nursery now."
"Yes, ma'am." Cheetara chuckled at her refering to her as 'ma'am'. Endora had a habit of doing that. She figured once she became more familiar with the rest of the ThunderCats that would be a thing of the past. When Endora got up so Cheetara could take over the station, she nearly tripped over the chair. She looked at Cheetara, then glanced at Panthro, and finally rushed out of the room. When Cheetara sat down she gave Panthro a look.
"What?"
"What did you say to her, Panthro?"
"Nothing...just asked her to let me know if she needed any help."
"You make her nervous, you know."
"I don't see why."

When Endora made it to the nursery, she found Snarf with Cheetara and Bengali's twins, Tyrese and Nipper.
"Snarf, I'm here now. What do you need me to do?"
"It's breakfast time, Endora. I already prepared the formula. Pick a twin. Doesn't matter which. They're both hungry."
Endora had to agree that they were both a bit fussy. So, she picked up Tyrese and grabbed a bottle. She settled down in one of the rocking chairs, cooing to the baby as she fed him.

Endora was finally able to relax. The only thing she didn't get nervous doing, besides battling Mutants, was caring for little ones. It came natural for her, eventhough she had no children of her own yet.
"Snarf, I'd like to apologize for oversleeping. I had stayed up late practicing with my laser sai. I want to be ready for next month."
"What happens next month, Endora?"
"I go on my first patrol. Lord Lion-O told me he wanted me to get used to the routine here before going out on the field."
"Well, in spite of your late start, I'd say you're doing very well. But from now on, try to get to bed earlier. If you can't do that...set your alarm. I need you up a little before first light."
"Ok, Snarf. I'll do that," Endora replied with a smile.
That afternoon Endora went looking for the Wily Kit and Wily Kat. Tygra had asked her to take over giving them thier history lessons.
"Any idea where they are, Tygra?"
"They said they were going on a picnic in the open field over there. In fact, that's them sitting on that blanket. Better hurry. If they see you coming they might try to run off. They hate history," Tygra chuckled.
When Endora made it over to the ThunderKittens, she discovered that they had company. She was starting to see a pattern here. Then again, it wasn't strange to see Panthro with Kit and Kat. He had been like a father to them since they were very little. She greeted everyone and Kit asked her if she'd like to join them.
"No thanks, Kitra. No time. We have to get back to Cat's Lair for your lessons." The adolescents' groaned in protest.
"Come on, you two. You heard Endora. Now let's get going," Panthro ordered. The twins grudgingly obeyed. Kit and kat hurried ahead of the adults, play fighting and teasing each other on the way.
"Kat, I saw you smiling at Endora. Bet you have a crush on her."
"I do not!"
"You think she's pretty, don't you?"
"So what if I do? Doesn't mean I have a crush on her!"
"Eh, doesn't amtter. I think Panthro likes her...a lot."
"Really? How can you tell?"

Katran looked behind him where Panthro and Endora were and saw the adults talking to each other. He swore he saw Panthro blush a little. Kat turned back to Kit.
"Golly, you're right." he whispered. "But I don't think Endora feels the same way."
"Maybe she does and is just too shy to admit it." Kit answered softly. "There's only one way to find out." Both twins smiled as a devious and cunning plan began to form in their heads. Jaga help those who become the victim of two mischevious matchmakers.

The adults, oblivious to the teenagers' plans, caught up with Kit and Kat at the foot of the huge stair case to Cats' Lair. Katran playfully walked backwards into Endora, bumping his head into her chest. The older female lost her balance and feel into Panthro, who caught her, accidentaly brushing a hand against her chest. Endora quickly stood upright, twirling around to look at Panthro, slightly blushing.

"Katran, Kitra. Let's hurry up and go inside. We're already late." Endora rushed inside with her students to the library. All three of them sat at one of the tables. "All right. It says here on your assignment sheet that you have to interview an historical figure and write a one page report on them." The twins groaned in response.
"You mean we have to interview some boring old person?" Katran whined.
"Not necessarily, Kat," Kitra responded thoughtfully. "If you think about it, we're sitting int he presence of history in the making!"
"Kit, what are you talking about?"
"Endora, of course!" Endora's eyes widened in surprise, as Kitra began to explain. "You see, Endora, you are the first Lesser Cat to become a ThunderCat in the history of Thundera!" Endora had to admit she had a point.
"All right then, Kitra. You and Kat put your heads together to think up some questions then fire away!" Thier teacher had no idea that this little activity was part of a much greater plan. After the siblings came up with thier questions they told thier teacher that they were ready to interview her.
"Ok, I'm first. Where were you born?" Kitra inquired.
"Angora Hills, which is south of Cat's Lair."
"Do you have any borthers and sisters?"
"I have two older brothers. Quinn and Jervis."
"Are your parents still alive?"
"Yes. Thier names are Snic and Ambrosia Thistletail. Very nice folks." Kitra had ask her three questions, so it was Katran's turn.

"Ok, Endora. My first question is...are you single?" Kitra slammed her hand on the table, giving her twin brother her 'your-going-to-give-the-whole-thing-away' look. Endora chuckled and shook her head.
"Kat, are you trying to get a date during your history lesson?" Kat started to blush and stutter.
"Ummm, um...no, Endora! I was...just asking."
"Well then...yes, I'm single, Katran."
"What's your favorite food?"
"Kat, what does that have to do with history?"
"Don't worry. It'll all come together when we do the report. Right, Kit?" His sister nodded.
"Ok. Candy fruit and chocolate."
"Wow. No wonder you're so sweet!" Endora giggled while Kitra rolled her eyes.
"Do you have a favorite flower?"
"Thunderian Star flower."
"Ahhh...I see. Ok, last question. WHo taught you how to use your laser sai and laser crossbow?"
"My oldest brother, Jervis taught me how to use the sai; Quinn taught me how to handle a crossbow."
"Well, I guess that wraps up the interview!"
"Great! Now you two get to work on your report. I'm going to the nursery to see what Snarf needs me to do."
After thier teacher lef tthe library, the twins put thier head together to decide how to use this new information.

"Kat, don't you think Panthro might want to know these things about Endora?"
"Yeah! But how should we let him know?" While they were pondering, Bengali came into the library, startling them.
"Hi, Katran, Kitra."
"Bengali! Wha...what brings you here?" Kitra stammered
"Ummm...I came to to get book. This is the library, right?"
"Uh, right!" The white Tiger looked over the two teens.
"What ar eyou two up to?"
"Nothing. Just doing our history lesson."
"Yeah, sure. You two stay out of trouble, okay."
"Of course!" After Bengali left thier presence, the Twins continued to plot.

For the rest of the day, Endora assisted Snarf around the Lair, hoping she wouldn't cross paths with a certain panther. She always got so nervous around him, which caused her to be clumsy and awkward. She was too embarassed to tell anyone why she got that way around him. She was attracted to him and too shy to tell him. She never was any good at dealing with those kind of feelings. Most of the boys in her hometown avoided her becasue they thought she was a klutz and a jinx. One of them had the nerve to ask her how in the world did a spaz like her end up becoming a ThunderCat. Sometimes she wondered about that herself.
That evening all of the Nobles gathered for the final meal of the day. Dinner time was often a time for discussions about events of the day mixed with teasing and laughter. When Endora first got to Cats' Lair, she usually ate off to the side or alone in her quarters. Snarf told her she was being anti-social and should join the others at the main table. Endora wondered if there was some sort of conspiracy to make sure she always ended up sitting next to Panthro. As she sat in her seat she prayed she wouldn't spill anything on herself or anyone else that evening. She already felt herself getting nervous when he started up a conversation with her.

"So, Endora, how did your first day of duties go?"
"Oh, they went pretty smoothly," In spite of the fact I nearly fell on my butt several times, she thought to herself.
"Lord Lion-O told me himself that he's glad you became a part of the team."
"Really?"
"Of course." He leaned over to whisper in her ear. "I'm glad you're here, too, Endora." When he said that, she felt that tightness in her stomach again.
Oh gods, please don't let me blush now!
She began to feel that urge to run again. She felt herself start to get up. Unfortunately as she got up, her goblet wnet down...right into Panthro's lap.
"Oh, Panthro, I'm so sorry! Let me help you!" She was about to help him wipe up the spill until she realized where the liquid had wasted. She certainly didn't want to put her hands there. "On second thought, I think I'd better let you wipe that up."

Thus the awkward dance between the two continued. Fortunately, when Endora went on patrol with the others she was fine. SHe had no trouble stying focused on defending her country men and fellow ThunderCats from the Mutant threat. Lord Lion-O and Queen Willa were so impressed with Endora's performance on the field, she was sent out more and more often. Several of the other ThunderCats even recommended promoting her. All in all, Endora was performing impressively. Everything in her opinion was perfect, except for one thing. Panthro had become more agressive in his advances. It was no secret how he felt about her. Endora didn't know what to do when he took her aside one day to tell her point blank how he felt about her.

"All right, Endora, let me get straight to the point." Panthro said. "I have romantic feelings for you and was wondering if you felt the same for me."
"I...." Endora started. "I....I...I"
"It's either a yes or a no. Now which is it?"
"I...I-I-I-I-I-I can't! I don't deserve you!" Endora did the only thing she could do at that point; she bolted.

The next day Endora was scheduled to go out on patrol with Pumyra, Wily Kit, and Panthro. On thier way to the Thundertank, Panthro whispered a question in the Lesser Cat's ear.
"Endora, why do you think that you don't deserve me?"
"Panthro, please. I don't want to talk about that right now."

The group was sent out to patrol the southern regions. There were a few villages there, including Angora Hills, Endora's home town. All was quiet on the patrol until they soptted a civilian trying to flag them down. Wily Kit landed her space board while Panthro stopped the Thunder Tank. The young Lesser Cat ran to them with urget news. Endora recognized him as Coaxl, a boy from her village.
"Mutants!" he shouted. "They are attacking the village! And our Guardian is severly wounded!"
The Guardian? Jervis! The Mutants had wounded Endora's older brother.

Before Coaxl could say any more, he collapsed to the ground. The ThundreCats could see a bloody wound in his back. Seconds later the Mutants launched a full scale attack on them.

The ThunderCats prepared for battle at the Mutank crashed through the trees into the clearing. Pumyra, Wily Kit, and Endora took on the Mutants in hand to hand combat while Panthro faced the Mutank in the Thundertank.

Mutank vs. ThunderTank. That was what it had been brought down to. The two monumental vehicles had begun to play chicken. Panthro was in full confidence that the enemy tank would veer off in this dangerous game. All of a sudden, a mutant had pushed Endora right in the middle of the tanks' mutual path. There was no time for her to get out of the way.
"ENDORA!" Panthro shouted as he put the tank on autopilot, hopped out towards Endora and scooped her out of the way just as the two tanks rammed into each other. They were both totally scrapped. "Are you okay?" Panthro asked Endora.
"I..." she began. "Panthro, your tank!"
"Doesn't matter."
"But I know how much you love that tank; it's your special baby."
Panthro only grinned; sure, the ThunderTank's been around since the ThunderCats' adventures on Third Earth, and he was keen on macho vehicles...but it didn't seem to matter right now. "It's a whole lot easier losing the Thundertank than losing you, Endora." he explained. "So what do ya say we kick some mutant butt?"

Endora was certainly willing to do that! She was none too happy about what the Mutants did to her brother and her friend. The Lesser Cat and the Panther fought side by side against thier enemies. They made quite a formidable pair. Endora's laser sai and Panthro's nunchucks became more than weapons, but extensions of the warriors themelves. Kitra and Pumyra had managed to drive the rest of the Mutants from the village, giving Pumyra time to find and treat Endora's wounded brother.
After the invading Mutants were either dead or retreating in terror, Endora hurried into the village to see about her brother. She found Pumyra treating him at her parents' home. He looked pale and weak, and his breathing was shallow.
"Pumyra will he be ok?"
"His wound is bad, but it's not fatal. As long as he keeps still and the wound is kept clean, he'll be fine."
Endor then knelt by Jervis's side.
"Jervis, it's your sister."
"Endora...I knew you would come." He winced in pain as he turned to look at Endora's face.
"No, Jervis! Be still."
"Coaxl...where is he? He went to find help."
"He was killed."
"By Jaga..."
Just then, Quinn entered the room. He already knew of his brother's condition. He was happy to see his little sister there.
"Endora, I saw you in battle! Very impressive! I'm so proud of you!" Endora blushed slightly at her brother's compliment. She then introduced her family to the other ThunderCats. Her two brothers noticed the look in her eyes when she introduced then to Panthro, and gave each other a knowing glance.
