Plot:
Darkness flows through the heart of every man. The heartless feed on that darkness and won’t stop until they’ve devoured the hearts of all. When a heartless consumes a heart, its is swallowed by the very darkness that lay within it. The hearts begins to loose everything. Their memories of friends, family, the past. The heart starts to forget who it is, until its consumed by the darkness.
Further knowledge of the heart and the ruthless creatures that hunt them is what many people desire. A wise man named Ansem complied a report on the heartless, yet in the end, it wasn’t enough to settle the curious mind.
The wise man named Ansem opened his heart to the darkness all those years ago and used the heartless to gain emesis power. When all hope seemed lost in the growing darkness a light shone. The age old legend of the mysterious key barer came back to life in the form of a young boy. He battled the darkness and defeated Ansem , sealing the door to darkness.
With the disappearance of the key barer, the stories seemed to disappear as well. The courageous actions of the key barer and his friends seemed all but forgotten by all except those who had helped him on his journey. But where is the key barer now? When the heartless begin to grow in numbers, will the key barer appear to save everyone once again?
Its been almost eight months since Sora and King Mickey sealed the door to darkness. Sora’s older, more experienced, and he’s beginning to question his destiny. After they find Riku and the king, what next? The heartless will still be about, meaning the worlds are still in danger. As the key barer is was Sora’s sole duty to seal the keyholes. But how many worlds were out there? Would Sora spend the rest of his life in space traveling from world to world? Would he ever return home to his island? At the moment, it really didn’t seem so.
The heartless grow stronger as each moment passes, but it doesn’t seem to be Ansem who is controlling them. Both Sora and King Mickey have haunting dreams which reveals a message. In a short time five worlds will align perfectly, and in that time the heartless will once again open the eternal door to darkness, forever sealing the door to the light. Who exactly is behind this? Can they be stopped? Will the legendary heroes be enough to save it all?
Weather/Season:
Late Fall/Early Winter The harvest season is over, and everybody's getting ready for winter! The holiday season is starting and already the Second District in Traverse Town is getting decorated! All the kids are waiting for the snow to fall and for Christmas to come! It seems the heartless don't like the cold, or are just being nice because less and less are showing up.
"I never saw you there. Where were you when Jack was trying to make the heartless dance?
"No, mom rushed me off to the human world before I could have any fun..." Rika made a pouty face. "But I did learn some alchemy there..."
"A heartless as a pet? Um, I think that'd be kinda bad."
"Why for? I mean, how come? The onew with antena are so cute...!" At this, Nekoko protested loudly. "Don't worry, I think you're cute too, Nekoko-chan." This seemed to make Nekoko happy, or at least make her stop complaining.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."No, mom rushed me off to the human world before I could have any fun..."
Sora stopped and began to think. Who could her mother be? Sally? She was the only girl Sora saw there, and Jack did seem to be in love with her. "Is your mom Sally the ragdoll?" It seemed kind of rude for him to ask, but Sora was curious. It was in his nature. Hell, curiousity is probably the reason his whole adventure began.
"Why for? I mean, how come? The one with antena are so cute...!"
"You mean the shadows right?" Sora asked. Those little buggers definatly were a pain in the ass. They appeared everywhere. They were the first Heartless Sora ever encountered, and after all this time they were still showing up.
"Are you exactly sure what a heartless does?" Sora wondered. From what she was saying, it sounded like she had no clue, "They steal people's hearts and turn them into other heartless!"
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."Is your mom Sally the ragdoll?"
"Yeah! She an dad got married after they found out what the whole 'marriage' thing was."
"You mean the shadows right?"
"Er, I guess so. I didnt' know they had names... I just called them Heartlesses."
"They steal people's hearts and turn them into other heartless!"
"They DO?! Well no wonder mum didn't let me have one as a pet!" Rika threw her arms up in the air, partially in exasperation, partially in God-knows-what.
"Too bad though, I still think they're cute... Even if I did have to hijack their ship." Rika shrugged.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."Yeah! She an dad got married after they found out what the whole 'marriage' thing was."
With a small shrug of his shoulders, Sora began to laugh, "Well, makes as much sense as anything I've seen." Sora began to wonder if there was anything that could surpirse him anymore. Probably not, but anyone could try.
"Er, I guess so. I didnt' know they had names... I just called them Heartlesses."
"Well theres a ton of different heartless. Shadows are one of the smallest. But some are HUGE! Like the large body for example. They're gaints." Sora said, emphasing his description of the heartless with his arms. Jiminy had most of the heartless Sora and company had seen in his journal, but Sora knew there were probably more varity. How Jiminy could get a description of each heartless was beyond Sora's reasoning, the cricket just had to much time on his free hands.
"Too bad though, I still think they're cute... Even if I did have to hijack their ship."
"You hijacked a heartless ship?" Sora muttered before bursting into completely unnessisary laughter. Well, that explained her flying. Sora stoped laughing when he realised something. If she could get here in a heartless ship, than that meant the walls were broken again. Which meant Sora could get out of Traverse Town. "This is great!" Sora exclaimed, leaping upward in excitement.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."You hijacked a heartless ship?"
"Yep, it came by and I stowed away then they found me so Ihad to take over the ship. But I can't fly very well, as you already know."
"This is great!" Sora exclaimed, leaping upward in excitement.
"What's great? Do you have pie? 'Cause that'd be WONDERFUL!!" Rika started to jump up and down in excitement, crappy shojou sparkles in her eyes, a dead giveaway that she was dreaming about pie.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."Yep, it came by and I stowed away then they found me so Ihad to take over the ship. But I can't fly very well, as you already know."
Sora looked back at Geppetto's house, then to Rika, "Yeah, I can kinda tell." He replied with his childish smile. It began to make Sora wonder where exactly where Geppetto and Pinocchio were. Boy were they gonna be in for a surprise when they got back...
"What's great? Do you have pie? 'Cause that'd be WONDERFUL!!"
Sora paused from his leaping excitment to give Rika a very confused stare. "Pie? No." He said very plainly, but then threw his arms in the air, "But I can get out of this place!" Sora was excited, and he had a right, being here for about a month was starting to get on his last nerves, but now, he could leave! Maybe even go...hom...no not that far, not yet anyways.
Rika stopped sulking and looked at Sora quizically, cocking her head to one side. "Get out of here? You mean you don't live here..? Then why are you here? And why am I ending all my sentances slash questions with 'here'?"
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."Get out of here? You mean you don't live here..? Then why are you here? And why am I ending all my sentances slash questions with 'here'?"
"No I don't live here!" Sora said, once again throwing his arms in the air. "My homeworld is called Destiny Island! Its great!" Sora didn't really wanna explain how he got here, it was a pretty long story, but if she asked, he'd have to tell...
Sora paused for a minute, thinking about something, "But I can't go home...not yet anyways." Sora hung his head slightly, his hand balling into a fist. All he could think about was Riku, how he vowed he would find him and King Mickey, nomatter the cost.
Re: Rest and Relaxation....
"Still adventuring and stuff, huh? Don't blame you. It gets boring seeing the same stuff over and over again, wondering what else is out there..." Rika looked up at the sky as she spoke, her eyes a reflectively deep green.
A few moments of scilence passed between the two, before Rika broke it. Well, technically her stomach broke it with a loud rumble. Rika looked down at it with what could best be discribed as a wtf face, and poked it. Her eyes faded back to light blue as she continued to poke her loud stomache. "Why's it doing that?!"
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."Still adventuring and stuff, huh? Don't blame you. It gets boring seeing the same stuff over and over again, wondering what else is out there..."
Sora's gaze drew to the sky, a smile then crossing his face, "Well thats part of it. I'm looking for my best friend Riku, and King Mickey as well. I don't know how long it'll take, but I'll find them. With Donald and Goofy of course." Sora felt hopeful now, feeling that the two could be somewhere here in Traverse Town. It probably wasn't possible, but someone could hope right?
When Rika's stomach started growling, Sora focused on the girl once again, returning from his little world in his head. "Why do you look so confused. You're probably hungry." Sora patted his stomach lightly with a smile, "I could go for some food myself!"
"Well thats part of it. I'm looking for my best friend Riku, and King Mickey as well. I don't know how long it'll take, but I'll find them. With Donald and Goofy of course."
"Well, I hope you find them!" Rika paused. "But since I don't have anything else to do, and you seem familiar with travling, can I help? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?" Rika attempted her very humerous but not very convincing puppy eyes.
"Um, what's food..?" Rika asked a little quietly, inbetween being embarrassed, confused, and curious. As a result, her eyes were a muddy brown color, a common result of mixed emotions.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."Well, I hope you find them!" Rika paused. "But since I don't have anything else to do, and you seem familiar with travling, can I help? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?"
Sora began to laugh at Rika's request, not really knowing how to answer. Donald normally didn't let other people come with them, though Sora could probably convience the duck. "We'll have to see." He said shaking his finger slightly at her.
"Um, what's food..?"
Sora lost his balance, nearly falling backwards. He threw his arms forward, standing straight again. "You're joking right? You don't know what food is?" Alright, this was an akward moment. She honestly had no clue....They probably didn't need to eat in Halloween Town, but come on, she had to at least KNOW what it was.
"Uh, food is...its...." Sora tryed to explain, rubbing the back of his neck. "I know! I'll show you!"
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."We'll have to see." He said shaking his finger slightly at her.
"OK! I promise I'll be really good and stuff." Rika looked at him and smiled innocently, a rare sight indeed.
Back home it was common knowlege that Rika was often considered the fourth of the 'trouble makers', meaning Lock, Shock, and Barrel, (although she stayed as far away as possible from Oggie's place) so of course an innocent smile was rare when coming from her.
"Uh, food is...its...." Sora tryed to explain, rubbing the back of his neck. "I know! I'll show you!"
"OK!" Rika was always willing to try new things, and if it would make her stomache stop aching, which she hoped it would, all the better.
She'd never needed to eat in Halloween Town, nor when she had gone to the human's 'world'(It's technically part of the same world, so she still didn't have to eat.) She didn't know it at the time, but this was going to be quite the adventure...
Re: Rest and Relaxation....
"Well than lets go! The Second District is where we wanna go for resterants!" Sora said, grabbing Rika's wrist and leading her to the doors of the Second District. Sora was still getting over the fact that Rika had never heard of food, so this would be sometihng to show her.
Jiminy once again hopped up onto the boy's shoulder. He was starting to grow impatient and was getting pretty upset at Sora's habit of getting distracted. "What about Donald and Goofy! We still have to find them!"
"Don't worry Jiminy! If they're in the Second District we're bound to run into them! Relax! You're Pinocchio's conscience, not mine." Sora joked with a childish smile in Jiminy's direction.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."Well than lets go! The Second District is where we wanna go for resterants!" Sora said, grabbing Rika's wrist and leading her to the doors of the Second District.
"O-OK!" Rika nodded and followed after Sora, smiling at the fact that he had unintentionally pulled her arm off in his rush, and that he was in fact not leading anything.
Re: Rest and Relaxation....
Sora turned around, noticing that Rika was, well, kinda easy to pull, well...til he noticed it was just her arm. He threw it down in a panic, "What the hell!! You're arm came off!" He jumped back, looking from the arm, to Rika, then back to her arm. Alright, this was the strange...quite a surprise, and very strange...
He stood there for a moment, then pointed to the arm with a stern, yet funny look on his face, "Is this normal for somebody in Halloween town? I mean, does body parts just come off without warning?" It would make sense...though Sora never saw that happening while he was there, but of course, he was only in Halloween Town for about two weeks.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."What the hell!! You're arm came off!"
"It would appear so!" Rika giggled. "Do you like to state the obvious?" She teased, smiling at Sora.
Rika laughed at Sora's expression and nodded. "Yeah, that thing's always coming off. One bad trait I inherited from my mum." She walked over and picked up her arm, pulling out a sewing needle and some thread from one of her many pockets.
"It gets kinda annoying, but it's great for Halloween Festivities because mum and I are the only one's who can do it." Rika stated as she sewed her arm back on, tieing the thread and biting it off once she was done.
"Ya know, I can take off my head, too. Wanna see?" Rika grined mischeviously as she replaced the needle and thread back in their proper place.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."It would appear so!" Rika giggled. "Do you like to state the obvious?"
"No...its just not every day someone's arm falls off." Sora joked, scratching the back of his head. He still had that freaking bumb from the peice of wood that conked him in the back of the head. That really did hurt....
"Yeah, that thing's always coming off. One bad trait I inherited from my mum."
Sora thought for a minute, then realized, "OH! Its because you're mom is a ragdoll! I get it now." He said with a smile. It was starting to make sense, well as much sense as it possible could.
"Ya know, I can take off my head, too. Wanna see?"
Sora quickly shook his head, waving his hands infront of him. "No no no! Thats quite alright! Maybe if we go to Halloween Town, where it would be considered normal!" He pointed back to the Second District doors, "Lets just go get something to eat, okay?"
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."OH! Its because you're mom is a ragdoll! I get it now."
"Yep!" Rika chirped and swung her arm a bit, making sure it would stay this time. Fortunately, it did.
"Lets just go get something to eat, okay?"
"OK! I really wanna try this 'food' stuff!" Rika skipped along behind Sora, the previous event apparently gone from her memory. "So, Sora-san, you said you come from another world too, right? Which one?" Rika slowed to a walk even with Sora so they could talk as they walked to a resturante.
Re: Rest and Relaxation...."So, Sora-san, you said you come from another world too, right? Which one?"
Sora look up at the darkened sky, scanning the stars above. Every star revieled a world, and every world revieled a keyhole. "My home world's called Destiny Island. I haven't been there in so long though." He said, with a touch of sadness in his voice. He hadn't seen his home since well, this whole crazy adventure began...well..he did see it when he fought Ansem, if you really wanted to count that as Destiny Islands.
"My best friend Kairi is there though. And my parents, my school, and so many other things." He added, smiling. How he wished he could go back, just to see it, just once. He pushed open the doors to the Second District and held his arms out twoards the busy plaza that lied ahead, "After you Rika."
