Jeez, would you believe I didn't even know this board was HERE? Now that I do, believe you'll be seeing me on it a lot more. So, I guess I'd like to know what's on the pulse for this week? And as I can't find a topic I want to post about, try this one out:
"Which ID Sims have you served on?" I myself have served on a few, though only on one right now. Here's my list, and I hope you have one of your own.
1.) USS Avalon-A. Lt. Sam Randall. I started out as a Junior Engineering Officer and climbed the ranks to Chief Tactical Officer until the untimely death of the A-A.
2.) USS Avalon-B. Lt. Commander Sam Randall. Found my niche as Second Officer of the new ship until my retirement from it.
3.) Starbase 10. 1st Lt. Savai N'gellin. Marine Platoon CO. My most favorite character ever, had more fun here than anywhere before. Loads of backstory and intrigue (and others would probably argue BS as well! lol) until HIS retirement from service.
4.) USS Conqueror. Commander Randall Ben Zoma, Executive Officer. Too short a stint here, as my comp crashed and had to leave the sim shortly thereafter.
5.) Deep Space 15. Lt. Savai N'gellin, Chief Security Officer. Brought Savai back, only to encounter unexpected friction with the crew. Got killed in the line of duty, much to my chagrin.
6.) Starbase 10. Terrh Ullho, shopkeeper. More fun than I thought, like coming home again, and my first non-fleet character. Still, didn't have time, and got carried away with my next assignment which was...
7.) USS Patriot. Lt. Commander Sam Randall, Chief Operatiosn Officer and Second Officer. Love this character, and am loving the crew and the chance to have more fun with good ol' Sam

Yes this is a good idea.
My list is pretty short since I've only been on two simms here and am still actively simming in both.
1) Deep Space 15 - Lt. Leeta Gill - CCO
My more developed character. Was promoted to a full Lieutenant on July 4th, coinciding with the IDF's 2nd anniversary. Also recently underwent alterations to her physiology - now is a mild telpath . . . as of the current JM with the GWB. As a result has a telepathic bond with one of the TOs and the Counselor . . . now affectionately known as 'The Triad' by myself and another PC on this simm.

2) Starbase 10 - Lt. J. G. Willow A. Bristow - Counselor
I debuted here in early August so I haven't posted much on her character . . . there isn't much to say about her. I might get time soon to expand on her character wise but between RL and DS15 I've been stretching my time. She is just getting settled into her post on SB10 which will be complicated with the new CCO, her former fiance's recent assignment on SB10.

Let's see, this is a cool idea me thinks! (Would definately help me in drafting up the Crew Members Records page!)
A) Rachael Amanda Rager - USS Sunfire (when it lauched when the fleet launched on July 4th, 2001) - CConnO. Rised from Lt.J.G. to Lt. Cmdr. before retired.
B) Priscilla Myst - USS Griffin - CO. Both the character and the sim are still active, and just celebrated their 2-year anniversary! Who hoo! Neither have been in the fleet since early 2002 though.
C) Victoria Concord - USS Goldeneye, Starbase 10, Deep Space 15 - CEO, CEO/COO, CO. From Lt.Cmdr. to Lt. (yup, demoted!) to Lt.Cmdr. to Cmdr. to Capt.
As a note, Victoria and Priscilla are identical twins, though their personalities and skills are almost complete opposites! I created the characters at the same time because the Goldeneye's CO and I had a deal to join each other's sims to help get them started. So, once twin for the Griffin, and one for the Goldeneye .
A) Rachael Amanda Rager - Starbase 10, IDF Admiralty - temp CO, acting CoD then finally DRF. Good old Rager, had to bring her back when friends asked me to help out, and kept asking lol! Lt.Cmdr., jump to temp VAdm, settled at RAdm.

1.) USS Patriot NCC-26782~ (December 16th, 2001- November 2002) Ensign-Lt. JG Lima Jarvas, Small Craft Pilot. My father, who played Ensign Dick Jarvas, served on the Patriot for a month. If it weren't for him and the Pat, I would never have joined IDF. The Patriot was my favorite until the original Captain left. It was my first SIMM and was only used to SIMMing under one person and one crew. I don't think any of the original members are left, but the Pat's still doing a great job, so that's ok.
2.) USS Avalon NCC-3002-A~ (March 15th, 2002- End of
July 2002 Destruction) Lt.-Lt. Cmdr. Nara Treniek, Chief Conn Officer- AXO/2O. :: Points down :: Same as the B, til it was destroyed.
3.) USS Avalon NCC-3002-B~ (August 2002- June 15, 2003 Decommission) Lt. Cmdr.- Capt.- 20-ActingXO-XO-ActingCO. My favorite SIMM to date.... actually, it's tied in first with all the others, because I could never choose. But it seems like the crew was more of a family than any other SIMM I've been in, and a lot of them became my close friends.
4.) USS Washington NCC-11988~ (March 2003- End of June 2003) Ensign Lima Jarvas, Chief Medical Officer. I loved this ship, but with an upcoming command, it would have been hard to keep up. It already had been, to begin with, without 2 SIMMs on my plate.
5.) Starbase 10~ (July 2003-Present) Captain Nara Treniek, Commanding Officer. I love the crew, the command, the SIMM, if only RL would stop getting in the way.

3) USS Conqueror as AXO/ Chief Communications officer Lt Commander Kiara Rodale. When she started and I’m still there.

Ens - Cmdr and sometimes Capt(p) Victor Davidson, Ops Officer and former XO of the USS Goliad for Dec 2001 - April 2003, with a brief stint as CO when the real CO had to take a LOA. Currently MIA
Ens BOB, Computer Specialist of the USS Goliad from May 2003 - current. Yep I'm the only one to have been on the ship since it first started and I don't plan on leaving it,

I think I should reply to my reply to this topic since my status has changed . . . lol. I now only have one character in the IDF . . . but I still have a short list of characters that I've used in the IDF to date. Both of my characters that I'm listing are *current* but only one is still in the IDF.

- PC: Lt. j.g. Leeta Gill; Chief of Communications. Has been promoted from originally a lt. j.g. to Lt. in July. Just got engaged on the simm to a NPC that I use frequently on that simm. Will be most likely married by the end of November if all goes well . .. but I can't promise that lol.
- I am still to date simming actively there to date and will be for a long while . ..

- PC: Lt. j.g. Willow Bristow; (Chief) Counselor. My second character . . . but still is a good character in my opinion. My summary that I posted for her is still accurate CD wise.

A friend of mine got me into it in mid-2002 with a new ship he was starting up. It took me a while to get into it, but now I'm a true, blue crewmember of the good ship Minerva. Ah, my ship...
I started in IDF in 2002, and have achieved some remarkable (and shocking) things.
Lt.(jg) Maximillian Dane - Chief Comm. Officer, SB10
He started my existance in IDF, but when offered my own command I decided to drop him to focus on being a CO.
Capt. Larakizhaan sh'Harena - CO, USS Goliad-A
My take-no-s**t Andorian Captain, one of my favourite characters who I want to keep going as long as I breath. I got command of the Goliad in July and am still trying to make the ship into my own--which will involve a very big change in the near future.
Ens.-Lt.(jg) Khelasran 197 - Astrometrics, USS Patriot
A dual sexed Hermat who is great fun to play as, though using s/he and hir is a knightmare at times, but s/he is my second favourite character, on a ship I really love.
MCPO Eshel Najur - Chief of the Boat, SB10
I decided to return to where it all began on Starbase 10 and so created Najur, a time displaced individual who I unfortunately haven't really had time for, and may have to do something with.
R.Adm. Marisana T'Lin Darwin - DD, SOD
Being asked to become DD was the most shocking thing to happen to me, I was quite happy being a CO, but a chance to help out West, Dragonetti and the other brass was too good to turn down, so here I am.
MCPO Adia Tezeki - Cultural Specialist, USS Liberty
Created to help out on the Liberty with posting totals, etc I decided to cut her out after guest simming on the Liberty as Darwin and realised that they didn't need any help, so I didn't get to do much with her.
I guess mine is simple, since I have only one true love character, and that's Fiona Starling. Fi and I began our career together on the USS Horatio Nelson back in late February of 2003. She came aboard as Weapons Specialist and Ensign, was rapidly promoted to LtJG, and before too long she became chief of security. Later she was promoted to LCDR and given Ops Chief/AXO to groom her for a command.
In late Sept./Oct. (I think it was then) she became Captain in command of the USS Washington. Unfortunately I had to pull out due to real life issues, and I stopped simming altogether for a bit.
During Fi's absence from the HN, I tried out two other characters, both as counselor. The first was LtJG Dara Montgomery, the second was Dr. Gisele Adjani. I love both Dara and Gisele but I don't have time to do them justice.
Mid-December I couldn't hold out any longer. I had to sim again. So I talked to the COs of both the W and the HN (both dear friends) and decided to bring Fiona off the bench and onto the Nelson. As a notoriously unstable character, Fiona's plotline led her to give up her Captaincy in hopes of regaining peace of mind. She returned to her home ship (the HN) and took a position as Xenosciences Specialist/Security Advisor at the rank of LCDR.
Which leads to now.
Question:
Are your characters like your alter egos or are they nothing like you?

All of my characters are my alter egos. In this fleet at least in this fleet.
I believe that they are different in that they resemble different aspects of me ... although some of their characteristics (personality wise) might overlap a bit.

My character isn't my alter ego. He is me. Just as wierd, just as antisocial, just as technical. About the only thing that isn't directly from me is my character's psychological scarring. After all, I've never had to kill 40 of my best friends. Fortunately...
