Mission 7: Barge and Libra

Angered by Wind's cowardice, Reno rocketed foward and rammed into the 00, grasping onto it. "Wind, if you will not kill him, then I will! I will achieve victory in exchange for my life!"

The Aqualung, still taking the 00 with it, roared from the scene of the battle, and Reno, knowing what he must do, hit the self destruct button. He keyed his comlink once again.

"Wind, I will not survive this. Please, when I am gone, continue to fight for the cause we all believed in. I have lost my purpose, and so this end is fitting. I did not know you long, but I fancied that we had a certain kinship. Continue to battle, for that is all we can ever know how to do."

Reno slumped in the cockpit at the numbers reached 0.

A sense of recognition
A face you barely loved
Empty all your pockets
'Cos it's time, to go home

Raziel Drake Registered User (10/25/00 12:10 pm)	Re: Mission 7: Barge and Libra ( Joey, Wind wasn't being cowardly, I just hadn't been able to post, also you have to remember he's torn between his new found memories, and his alliegence.) Torn by honor, and friendship, Wind yelled, as the 01 slammed foward towards the spiraling 00, and Aqualung. Blood dribbled down Winds temple, as his head collided with the 01's mainscreen, do to the increased acceleration of the 01. Slamming head on into the glowing Aqualung, and 00, Wind used his heightened piloting skills, to rip the 00 from the Aqualungs grip, by slicing thru its hands. As the now handless Aqualung floated away, preparing to explode, reactor glowing intensly, Wind shuddered, knowing that he had just saved his "enemy's" life, and that he couldn't saved his friend, and comrade. An imense white light filled the area, Wind watching on, as he watched what he thought was the Aqualungs existence being snubbed out. ( I said the last sentence, because I didn't know how Joey wanted to deal with his characters "Death". Also I couldn't think of any way to save the character Reno.)
Joey Strummer Registered User (10/25/00 12:20 pm)	Re: Mission 7: Barge and Libra (Raziel, I know you were not being cowardly, but in the heat of battle, people get frustrated and go crazy, so I just had Reno go nuts and snap, due to the strain the battle had on him. Also, his loss to Peter also had him on edge.) The debris scattered and the explosion faded, and Reno was no where to be. Unbeknownst to his comrades, his body had been tossed several kilometers from his suit in the explosion, and he was drifting in space, totally unconcious except for the whispers escaping his mouth. The head techs get started on the repairs to the darkfighter and altanis gundams! (5 posts till repairs completed)

Raziel Drake Registered User (10/27/00 11:30 am)	Re: Mission 7: Barge and Libra Anger raced thru Wind, as he realized that Reno's death was his fault, and a new clearer cause appeared in his mind. Winds mind struggled to find someone to place the blame on, and then his ravaged mind selected John as the person to pay. Wind: Its ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!! John: What the, no Wind don't. The 01 twisted around, buster rifle charged, as Wind and its eyes seemingly lock a cold steely gaze on the 00. Target calculations flashed over the 01's main screen, as Wind brought the Wings arm up, raising the buster rifle with it. As John sat stunned, a brilliant yellow blast arrupted from the barrel of the buster rifle, arcing from the 01, and impacting into the 00. Wild energy splashing across the 00's activated defensors, the blast left the defensors weak and smoking, and knocking the 00 back. When John recovered, he found that the 01 was already accelerating foward, beamsaber drawn, starting an intesifying battle between the 01, and 00. To John's surprise, the 01 matched every move, and manuever the 00 made.

gravityforce ezOP (10/27/00 9:29 pm)	Re: Mission 7: Barge and Libra John made an attempt to ditch, transforming into bird mode and blasting off towards Libra. The eight engines on the Double Zero so far as outrun the weak verniers of the Wing. As John flew by the Libra, he decided to do some damage to it, pulling out his beam sword, he held the beam sword as it glazed right through the side of Libra. As the Wind made its way past, the side blew up, throwing Wind aside.

Shuddering, Winds form slunched over as his body was wracked by sobbs, the 01 made sluggish attacks. John could see that Winds rage was dieing down, as Wind came to terms that it was his fault, the 01 coming to a halt in front of the 00. Shuddering violently, WInd mumbled out how it was only his fault that Reno had died, not Johns, and finally the 01's intense green eyes died, as the Wings systems shut down.

"There seems to be no sign of anything unusual," one of the officers said. Then, he saw a blip on the radar. "There's something. Set a course for it." They came upon the lifeless body of a pilot with an unmarked flight suit and helmet, muttering to himself in his unconciousness. They picked him up, taking him on board. "Let's get him back to Barge. Maybe the doctors there can save him." (Also, everyone, remember that my character, Reno, is MIA and presumed dead.) John: I don't know, but you must. Wind: Hehehe, I destroy the cause of it all, or at least one cause. The 01's weapons came online, and Wind flipped the Wing up and over in a spin grabbing the floating buster rifle. Bringing the rifle down, Wind began to lock onto the Libra, and as the rifle came to full power, Wind saw the 00's form in his sights. Wind: Move. John: This isn't the answer. There are tons of civilians on the Libra 2, colony citizens, innocents. Wind: They should have known, living on any battle ship makes them as succeptible targets.

Flamimg Eagle- Thanks Peter, for the repairs but now i must go back to space. I must find Trais. Where ever he is i will kill him in a one on one duel with these swords that i have made while the repairs were going on to my gundam and yours. I leave you know Peter, bye... With those words the Altanis turns and lifts off and goes Neo Bird Mode and rocekts toward Liba and the Barge II.
