So as a lot of you know I've gone from one type of lifestyle to another...now the hardest part I believe is nipping me in the bum...starting to slowly gain UNWANTED weight... nobody's fault but my own..haven't been true to my diet the last two weeks NO MORE

Now that i have successfully been able to lose my unwanted weight and see how lean i was able to get on my own for a show..it is now time for me to prove to myself that I can stay fairly lean ( healthy lean) eat clean stay on my training routine and build some nice lean muscle tissue:)

welcome to my journal where i will record what i eat how i feel and workouts...i will use some methods i did when struggling with weight loss the first time and maybe pick up some new ideas through own reading and from you girls/guys..

starting June 10 2006 ( tomorrow) I will get up early and go for a nice morning power walk/ jog outside..im not mentally ready for morning cardio in the gym now.
i start up with the 5-6meal thing every 2.5 - 3 hrs if i have to bring my lunch bag with me anywhere im gonna do it!!

I will check back tomorrow after i have finished my first FULL day of being true to myself again

Hi Christine and welcome to the journal section:D I sliped up big time after one of my comps and it took me looong time to get back. Most important is that you acknowled what is hapening and you are ready to take actions:D Looking forward to your journal girl:p

meal 1 - 5 egg whites, 1 cup oatmeal
morning walk to and from the grocery store ( dont worry healthy eats)
meal two - 1 can tuna on WW wrap, steamed veggies, 1 bananna
meal three - salmon, steamed veggies
meal four - turkey breast on WW wrap
meal five - 2 scoops whey

You want a balance of pro, carbs and EFA's in each meal...a couple of your meals seem a little low in the good fat department:)

just when i think im on track i fall off - i don't know what it is!!! something that came so natural to me for a while ( clean eating ) is becoming more and more difficult for me now!
i start each day off with a great breakfast then something seems to mess it up!
i am thinking maybe if i hit the gym after this meal it will keep me going strong for the rest of the day?!?
any other thoughts, advice or comments on how i can get back to eating good again would be great!
my cravings are killing me...im failing at something that is more important to me then anything!!

Shees that is a tough one to help with girl:\ I battled myself after the comps big time:x everyday I would say no cheating an dby mid morning or lunch I would go mad for sweet stuff and stuffed my face:o it was viscious circle:x But I just took day after day and just persevered. As I said before I ahd major chocolate issues in my life but not anymore...I traded Cappuccino with loads of froth and powdered chocolate on top and that got me through;) Ok it wa bad for couple of months..I used to have one everyday...total addict,but better then eating 3-5 bars of chocolate!!! Then I slowly started to cut and over the months I am at 2 maximum 3 cups per week. I have it either after hard training as part of my post workout shake(shees do not let Darrin to see this post:evil ) Or before my Astanga power yoga(2 hours of brutal gymnastics);) Just persevere and do not beat yourself up...big deal if you can't get on track straight away..take it slow and consisten and eventually you will come on top;)

Christine....we live soo close to each other now:) :) :) You have to get on track with your eating or else your mind is going to drive you absolutely crazzzzzzzy....Schedule in regular workouts (i know where i am everyday in the afternoon;) and maybe talk to Darrin face to face and see what advice he has for you--he cares about you and doesn't want to see you frustrated.

You don't have to be super strict with your diet just remember balance is the key..allow your self one or two cheat meals and just keep everything else clean..always keep a good bar on hand or RTD just in case you get stuck or get a craving.

You can do this...we all have faith in you--you are a strong gal and have already accomplished waaaaaaaaaaaaay more than most of the population out there.

LA - thanks for the words of encouragement, i rushed home from the gym to report back here.... i think going earlier in the day may help me get back on track..seeing the nice fit people first thing is nice!
I will be coming by your store shortly to get some udo's i need some and i think that alone will help with cravings
so today has gone like this -
meal one - 1 cup oats, 1 whey shake ( low on egg whites..but got some now)
arm workout
meal two PWO- 1 apple, whey shake
Meal three - tuna wrap with some steamed veggies
meal four - salmon with veggies
meal five- 1 can tuna, 4 oz sweet potatoe
meal six - 2-3 of BGB'S muffins ( im excited to try these..my whole house smells yummy right now as they bake - i will report back on how they were!)
so far so good - going to keep my mind and body busy for the rest of the day cleaning and visiting people .
This sunday i am having a fathers day bbq at my parents so i told myself if i am clean until then i will allow myself a treat there if i dont stay clean no treat and i bring my own food to the BBQ.... ( but i am going to stay clean because my mom always has yummy food) This will also be the first time they will see me after the show. They will then realize i am normal and like my food and look a little fuller now...off to eat my yummy tuna!

going to go for a nice walk around my new neighbourhood tonight before i go to bed

good idea - that way ill be constantly reminded on how far ive really come no matter how i look and feel now..

today was good - 100% clean yay!
just got in from a nice walk - i found a pretty could nature trail near my new place and its near a ravine very nice!
LA - i got the picture to show up on my profile but it wont show up as my avatar...i tell ya im not a computer nerd at all lol..is there some box i need to check off or something for it to appear on my messages? im clueless
hmm okay i got it but its sooo tiny looks like a lil spec - if only i was truely that small! LOL

got to love technology!!!! oh well its just a silly picture of me no biggie!!! but im not surprised i couldn't figure it out!!!
i give up to easily with computers...but if you were to give me a chocolate cake id spend 5 hrs if i had to to figure out the macronutrient break down LOL

my sleep was shitty lastnight .. my roommate showed me something cool on the computer - how you can share music files from his computer onto mine so i was up until 2 am getting about 300 new songs - i am pumped!!! i was also checking out all my fitness forums too!!!
then woke up at 7am starving i HAD to eat something!! so my day started early:
7:00am - 5 egg whites, 1 cup oats, 1 apple
10:30 - 1 cup bran flakes, whey shake, coffee
1:00pm - turkey breast on WW wrap, steamed veggies
back workout.
PWO- whey shake peice of fruit
meal 5 - chicken / veggie stir fry - with darrin's "sauce" idea - excited to cook - FIRST TIME EVER!

im going to go the to gym for 2:00 hopefully LA will be there she hasnt seen me since my skinny minny day! just seeing this girl motivates the crap outta me!!!!! I really am lucky to have her as a mentor and so close to me now.

I am little upset though my ipod got stolen so now i am without music until i can go get a new mp3 - luckily my gym plays okay music...people really bug me these days... i think that people would kill one another for ipods!
have a beautiful day everyone - the weather here is great think i may try to get back into the groove of some outdoor cardio before it gets TOO hot out there!

eating was good again today!!! i had the stir fry and wow simply amazing!! probably not as good as darrin's but i will work on it so it is!!!
it was great seeing you too - everyone this lady is SMOKIN'!! she's going to rock some serious butt in couple weeks!!!
not sure how much she was lifting but i glanced over at one point and im pretty sure it was the full weight stack - pushed me to try to increase my weight a lil more!
