my experiences
hey i'm 19 and live in canada. I have been interested in cards for a while. i have been getting serious lately and practicing a lot. I know a couple of passes and several false cuts. It is just a matter of putting in the hours of practice. Yeah i just have a question too. Does anyone else ever get a sore forearm from doing the biddle grip too many times? thats when i know its time to take a break!

Hey
Hey, I've been doing magic since I was 10 years old. I recently took a break from it because I was so busy, but now I've started really working more at sleight of hand, compared with my previous experience with gimmicks and automata. Right now I am working on one-hand flourishes and passes. I live in the US in NY, and am 19. I hope I can give and take a bit here. Thanks.

I want to join because...
I've always loved magic. It's so fascinating to watch someone perform what appears to be a miracle. As I've grown older, (I'm 30 now), I've decided to learn some tricks on my own. Card tricks are my favorite because they can be done with no props and right in front of somebody. I've been studying and learning tricks for about three months now. I've put in lots of hours practicing each new trick I learn. The reaction I get when I perfrom a trick for someone is priceless. It's a wonderful way to entertain and amaze people and I look forward to learning more and becoming more advanced. This site looks to be a great resource for that purpose. By the way, I'm from the U.S.

I'd like to join
I'm an amatir magician who would like to learn a lot of magic tricks. The only card trick I know is the card warped. I'll be glad if you approve me to join this group.
I'm Wayne from London. Used to do card tricks at college to make up for a lack of skill at actual card games; people don't want to play you when you give the impression you're a card shark, so I didn't get found out as a poker doofus.
I'm kind of rediscovering that at the moment after a long hiatus, mainly due to an interest in the mentalsim field through a Derren Brown Yahoo! forum (nice link there, I thought).
Not a performer, more of a person who just wants to know how it's done for my own curiosity's sake. I do like to do a couple of tricks for my daughter's friends, so I guess learning some good bafflers will earn me the 'cool dad' status I aspire to.
