Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
This is moving on from the thread "Tears of Blood", and is continuing directly from where we left off...

*****

Sonia lay, wrapped in Alucards cloak. It was early in the morn, and they had been awake late, but Alucard had a feeling that they had to press on immediatly, before they are ambushed, or ran into enemies any other way. He promptly got dressed, and neatly lay Sonia's previously discarded clothes into a neat pile near where she lay. He would not disturb her yet. Surely she was tired from the night before... He left the clearing where thier camp was set up to get wood, with which to have a fire to cook breakfast with. He dispatched the lone bats here and there which could be potential agents of his father. He even encountered a zombie a little ways out. They needed to leave soon, and fast, for they were soon to be discovered...

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Sonia groaned, feeling the sun beat against her closed eyelids. She turned over, feeling for Alucard, and opened her eyes when she discovered he wasn't there.

Seeing her garments, Sonia got up, and got dressed. She looked around, "Alucard? Where are you?" she called out, going down to the edge of the pond and lightly washing a few stray twigs and sweat from her hair.

She hadn't gotten more than three hours of sleep, with what she and Alucard had stayed up for, but it was well worth it.

Standing from the water, and wringing her hair out, Sonia started to walk off, looking for Alucard, after picking up his cloak, shaking the dirt and grass from it, and neatly folding it, carrying it along with her.

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Alucard rushed back to the camp site, and slammed right into Sonia. With his lightning fast reflexes, he caught her before she even realized she was falling. "My fathers minions. Nothing that we shall not be able to handle." He said in his emotionless voice. A zombie crawled out into the clearing, trying to sheild its lone eye from the sunlight. Alucard slashed at it, severing it's arm, and cut at it's legs. As soon as he saw others coming he realized they wouldn't stop. They would overwhelm them. He dashed to Sonia, and grabbed her arm. "We must flee. And I will hear nothing of how 'we can take them', as you would feel fit to say. Leave the equipment, it will only prove to slow us down." He said, dashing, still holding fast to her. Realizing this was all happening quite fast to Sonia he stopped for her to digest it all. Took his cloak that she held in her and, and put it on, giving her a quick, slight bow for the sake of politeness, despite the situation. "Now let us go." he told her...

Sonia nodded, then lashed her elbow back, elbowing and killing a Zombie ready to bite her neck.

"Well..... face it this way... we need the workout..... somewhat...."

As if to answer her, several more appeared.

"Me and my big mouth..." she groaned, "Let's get the hell outta here."

Roars echoed through the forest.

"Sometime today would be nice," she said, grabbing Alucard's hand and started to run.

"Dammit, why is it whenever we get some private time, your dad manages to ruin it!!!!!" she demanded, killing a zombie as she passed by it.

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
"'Tis too many zombies for broad daylight... something is controlling this, and my father knows not how to make such things possible... We must find the source of this all... We must hurry up to Castlevania before dark..." Said Alucard. He slashed at zombies, and looked into the sky. Clouds were gathering. If the sun were to be blocked by the clouds, there would be no telling how many zombies could show. He turned into a wolf. He nudged Sonia's leg in a manner of "get on my back". Being a big wolf, he could carry the weight of one person, but it all depended on how well they could hold on, because of how insanely _fast_ he would go. He wimpered and looked into the sky, and awaited Sonia to get ready to go right for Castlevania.

Sonia grimaced, then looked back at the Zombies, 'I guess I have no choice...'

She climbed onto the wolf's back and held on tightly, clutching his fur, "I apologize ahead of time if I hurt you..." she told him.

The Zombies were gaining on them, and Sonia looked up at the sky. The clouds now completely covered the sun, and the sounds of more and more demons echoed through the air.

"Damn..." she cursed aloud, holding onto Alucard.

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Alucard ran like the wind, plowing through a few zombies here and there... quite literally. He ran for what seemed like an eternity. He saw a carriage up ahead, and watched it's course, and saw it go right into Castlevania. 'What is my father up to this time?' he thought to himself. He didn't slow, but rather sped up, and went straight into Castlevania, and skidded to a stop. He sat in a fashion for Sonia to get off, and resumed his human form. "Familiar... He never seems to change the entrance... I hate nostalgia..." he said to Sonia, and procceeded to enter, without bothering to wait for Sonia to catch up. "Hurry. T'would be a shame to stop before we've even started..."

New Dracula, already have Laura pissed, someone save me
Belmont. Alive. Two words that must never be heard in together in the same sentence. Yet his most trusted ally stood before him telling him just that. Dracula contained his anger, but he let it show in his face.

He clenched his fists and paced about the room.

"You are my most trusted ally, are you not? I put you in charge of the most important task, the one that is vital to our very survival and you fail ME???"

Dracula let out a deep breath. "Leave me!" he said in a powerful, but not angry tone. "I shall call upon you later!" He turned his back to his "friend" and stood at the window. Somewhere out there those Belmonts were alive, not only alive, but in health. They would have to be silenced, and their souls destroyed.

It was them that took his beloved away and it is them who shall pay the price. His suffering would be the suffering of others, until the whole of the earth was in his grasp, and his bretheren would no longer be feared or oppressed, but humans shall be the animals to be hunted.

Hunted and burned just has his beloved Lisa was.

He took a deep breath and his body began to fade. Blending into the fog around him, he seeped out of the open window and into the bitterly cold night.

He would have to do more than command in this fight. He himself would have to be on its front lines.

Sonia blinked, "O-kay, that was weird... you went from romantic, caring guy to the dull Alucard you were when I met you in less than 12 hours... hmm..."

She caught up with him quickly, and looked up at him, "I wonder why he came back so early... and why was Death helping us get to Castlevania by going under disguise as the Ferryman?"

Sonia then sighed, "It's all confusing to me."

She then grabbed a dagger from her bag and tossed it at a nearby demon ready to attack her.

"Gotta love Vampire Hunter instincts," she said, smirking.

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
"Excuse me, Sonia... It is just that... Well, 'tis the ordeal at hand... and..." he stopped himself there, and embraced her. "I musnt let anything happen to you... I musnt... Please, my time dreaming yours and mother's death over and over in my sleep... T'was so much... And I musnt let my emotions interfere with the quest ahead... but..." He was about to kiss her, but remembered that it was neither the time, nor the place. He sliced a zombies abdomen, splitting it in half, still holding Sonia by the waist. "Let us go... Mayhap we can find the safe rooms of which you spoke." And with that said, they were off...

Sonia nodded, and walked alongside Alucard, now having her whip out.

"This place seems a little different... maybe its because of his early resurrection...." she observed, and lashed her whip out, killing two more zombies.

"I don't remember this many monsters, Love," Sonia said, looking up at all the gargoyles staring down at them, ready to take flight, not to mention all of the zombies rising from the ground.

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
The two travelled through Castlevania's main halls, going through zombies, mermen, and skeletons. Alucard didn't even break a sweat through it all. "Come Sonia... Up ahead, there should be one of the safe rooms... Unless the Castle hath choiced to move that as well." He said to Sonia, going up a small staircase. Alucard, not paying attention to a small puddle of blood on one step, slipped. It looked quite out of character for the dhampile, cursing as he flipped down the steps, having no grace whatsoever, as he always seemed to have. 'I've been thinking too much about her... I have been so very... weary... And I have let my guard down too much. No more.' he thought to himself. He lept up, grabbed Sonia by the waist, and lept the stairs, and ran along, plowing through a few zombies, and finally getting to a door. "This should be it. How do you fare? Are you hurt at all, dearest?" he asked her. He looked her over for any type of injury. "Excuse me... I'm just feeling an air of concern... And somehow... Impatient..." he said, not believing himself. He hadn't felt impatients in ages, literally. He looked into her eyes, and smiled. "My dearest..." he said, not caring about thier situation...

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Sonia blinked, and was about to run down the stairs to help Alucard when he got up and took her up.

"I'm fine, Alucard... you okay after that nasty fall?" she asked, not helping but to laugh somewhat.

She slowly pushed open the door, "Wow...... it's still here... there's no threat of your father in these places... nor demons or the like. Hence the name 'Safe Room'."

Sonia stepped in with Alucard and all but collapsed on the bed in the room. Alucard walked over to her and Sonia put her hands in his.

"Thank you," Sonia whispered, "For last night... I needed it..."

She looked up at him, "I think you kinda did, too," she laughed.

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
"Did I now?" he asked, a little suprised at what she had to say. "Sonia... I have ill feelings about this... Perhaps you should return to the village and care for Trevor, while I take care of this... If anything were to happen to you, my love... I..." He stopped there, not wanting to worry Sonia. He squeezed her had with his gloved one, and kissed her lightly on the neck. "Please Sonia... Do not do the foolish... T'would be the worst tragedy to befall me..."

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Sonia sighed quietly and closed her eyes, softly stroking her lover's hair, "Alucard..." she whispered, "you said this the first time I came here... and I did fine. I have to admit, my broken heart drove me on, as I thought that if I killed your father, then I would see you again..."

She then kissed his temple and lightly bit his earlobe, "Plus, now I have you fighting alongside me. And if you were to die... I don't want to think about the sorrow that would fill my heart..."

Sonia then bit her lip, "If worse comes to worse, I don't care what you think or fear, I want you to Turn me... I don't want to leave you, Alucard, and I know you don't want to lose me. I want to be with you forever..."

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Alucard drew back in shock. "Turn you?! You know not what you say Sonia! You do not know what it is like... I cannot vouch for what it is like to be fully vampire... But, living in fear of the light, forever thirsting for the nectar that flows in all creatures veins... For me to turn you... I cannot imagine you with that life... Not you, my dearest..." he said. He knew this would upset her, but she was being foolish. "Sonia, please... If I were to turn you, I would destroy the very things I love about you..." He said. He felt the presence of his father pass over him for the slightest moment. Not even a second, yet it scared him stiff. 'I shant let him harm Sonia...' He thought to himself. He didn't know where to go from here. No history book or legend in the 1790's could have prepared him for this odd turn of events. He moved closer to try to comfort hur, but the one thing that scared him most, was the idea of Sonia not accepting his choice. That she may do something brash... Very brash, and then... She would turn...

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
"Alucard, since you're a Dhampire, it could be very well that if you turned me, I would be a dhampire as well... I'm only asking this of you if something horrible happens to me..." she said, softly brushing his hair with her fingers.

She sighed, "I know I sound crazy, but if it should happen, it is what I want... I don't care about the consequences..."

Knowing she was hurting him, she kissed Alucard softly on the lips, feeling his grip on her tighten somewhat. She was scared, as well, she didn't want to admit it...

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
He didn't want to deal with thinking about it anymore. He couldn't bear it. He wanted to be back in his old coffin, and be resting for however long it takes for him to wake up, if he ever would. "Sonia..." he kissed her back, and halted before kissing her again. "We should not be doing this..." he said, concern in his voice. He pulled away, and held his cloak in front of him, as if it would stop her from reaching him. "We should rest." he simply said. "I shan't hear anymore of this foolish talk. Sonia, nothing will happen to you... I shall make sure of that. And, I shall not turn you..." he said bluntly. He propped himself against a wall, and slid down to a sitting position, closing his eyes, letting the blackness of sleep grow on him...

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Sonia bit her lip. She had lost his trust now, she knew so.

Drinking a potion, Sonia healed whatever wounds she had. She got out of the bed, and softly kissing Alucard's cheek. "Forgive me..."

She walked out of the safe room, slowly closing the door behind her. She would let Alucard sleep. For however long he wished to.

Sonia knew he hated her now, and should she die fighting or not, she didn't care. She just wanted this over with.

Her heart ached, and she tried to hold back the heavy sobs trapped in her chest. Looking at the demons that awaited her, Sonia moved forward, her whip in hand.

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Alucard awoke later that night. He was dreaming... Dreaming of his father turning Sonia... "Sonia?! SONIA!" He shouted looking all over for her. He burst out the door, no sign of her. 'How could I let this happen?! HOW?!' his mind screamed at him. He would dispatch his father, and if Sonia had indeed been turned, he would cure her, no matter what the cost. He raced up some stairs, and burst through a long hallway, and entered the arena which seemed ever present in his father's castle. He would find her and if need be cure her, if it meant his own death...

Re: Tears of Blood, Chapter 1
Sonia heard Alucard shouting her name, and started running, lashing her whip out at any monsters daring to get in her way.

She dashed out of the arena just as she heard the doors behind her open, then took an elevator down, killing any bats in the shaft.

Exiting the elevator, Sonia ran again, finally collapsing to catch her breath somewhere near the library.
