Re: I have one, Sha.
*shakes head aghast* *wondering why One Who thinks so vehemently Gor is so wrong would then involve Himself in any way with Gor*

just a slave's thoughts
....that men are not naturaly superior to females, that slavery is also not natural.....

*blinks* *thought that was the whole basis and premise of Gor - Men naturally superior to females, both slave and Free - a premise she wholeheartedly agrees with r/t*

*thought or hoped this board might be different and not a flame war...sees she was wrong...yet again*

regarding the original topic however, this slave knows she will never be a Companion or wife and that's fine...she is the love slave of her Master...yes He loves this girl but she always knows she is His property to do with as He wills whenever He wills if He wills....which is why she took the decision to beg His collar initially so seriously....she knew that that would be her final decision made of her own free will and she had to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that she could implicitly trust this Man with her whole life - body, heart, mind and soul

a decision she has never regretted...she willingly entered into consensual slavery...that doesn't make it any less slavery in her eyes....she was just fortuneate enough to be able to make the initial choice to give her life into the hands of One she knew would never abuse her

as for slavery not being natural, then why has it happened and been practiced in most cultures at one time or another? it is a natural happening...whether right or wrong....Gorean slavery, as it is actually practiced, is not the same type of slavery that most people think of with all the negative connotations associated with the word "slave", however the books mention many different kinds of slaves in addition to pleasure slaves

and though this girl has seen words that say there is no right or wrong answer, she has seen a whole lot of judgements going on here which would indicate differently

then again these are only the words and thoughts of a slave....for whatever worth or not the Frees deem them to have

Hey Sha,

...she willingly entered into consensual slavery...

is consensual slavery an oxymoron?

Just Wondering,
Wren

Re: just a slave's thoughts
Well damn that is the whole point of this forum.

I was {still am} confused {as must be those whom profess it} about 'consensual slavery'.

It simply is not possible.

"I am a slave, no wait I don't like that, I'm not doing that".

Too bad the Atlantic Slave trade wasn't so benign.

Now if it is consensual, how the hell can a person fail in their servitude?

Consent, i.e. to give permission or volunteer to be a 'slave'.

So I suppose if consent is denied then the slave becomes a failure.

But seeing as how the master accepts that the slavery is solely based upon the consent of the slave the master must play a responsibility if consent is revoked.

Another question, what about the 5 or so billion people that don't want to be a slave either consensually or otherwise?

Does not the mass of sheer numbers alone suggest that slavery is not a natural{ie genetic} occurence.

But I suppose some{all?} masters would argue that these people have yet to meet a real man.

slips up to the boards ....taking chalk in hand...she lifts hand to her Masters collar that surrounds the creamy flesh of treasha's neck...as thoughts trace through her mind as to what being a slave means to treasha....

when treasha thinks of slave...she does not think of the slaves that were forced into their bondage....she thinks more of consensual slavery and what it has meant to her....the feelings she has when she serves her Master....when she kneels at His feet.....

treasha has only been in Masters collar for a short while...but she knows this is where she belongs....to serve Him...to meet His needs....to be happy in His presence...treasha is Masters slave...but also works and cares for the children and the home....more like it was on earth back in the 50's when people had morals..and family values meant alot...and wives devoted their lives to their husbands and family..

~does a Master ever love His slave or a slave love her Master~
grins.....treasha would definitely have to say yesssss...even in the books it talks of the "love slave"...and has quotes pointing to the fact that a Master can indeed love His slave....even on earth

treasha places the chalk down and crawls away back to her Masters loving arms

Re: What Exactly Constitutes A Slave In Your Eyes.
More like the fifties?

C'mon now, anyone that has an inkling of history knows that wasn't so.

In fact during the 50's more women lost jobs in the work place than in the two pevious decades combined.

You more likely mean the twenties, you know when women had to fight to get the vote and were prevented from working by laws.

As to those morals of the 50's you mean the ones that allowed "Jim Crow" laws to segregate the 'races'?
Black's just get the vote.
The Korean war.
Julius and Ethel Rosenberg executed.
U. S. Senator Joseph McCarthy begins his communist witchhunt.
Rosa Parks refuses to give up her seat on a public bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
The cold war begins.
United States involvement in Vietnam begins, with the first indo-China war.
The creation of the nuclear family.
Men’s and women’s roles in society were reverted to the stereotypical notions of what each sex should be.
Women experienced a setback in the gains they had made during the previous decade where they proved they could do men's jobs during the war. In the first two years after the war, 2 million women lost their jobs.
The move to suburbia isolated women.
A new culture of consumerism developed.
All the while women made many purchasing decisions for families, not the men, advertising recognised this fact and developed new marketing.
Betty Friedan’s book, The Feminine Mystique, was the first book that airedwomen’s dissatisfactions with their stereotypical roles was not published until 1963, although it was written during the late 1950’s.
Friedan discovered that most women were unhappy with their lives, feeling isolated from the world their husbands experienced. It wasn’t until the 1960’s, however, that women got to move beyond their role as a housewife again.
The social and political tradgedy of the 1950's led directly to the political and social uprisings of the 1960’s

Ya those great morals of the 50's.

I suppose one person's morals are another person's civil rights.

the 50s
Housekeeping Monthly 1955

It still doesn't make a woman a slave. A submissive housewife can still say no. She can still walk away.

Re: the 50s
And do what?
Divorce?
Become a single mother?
Remember these are the days where unless you were a teacher or nurse, good jobs were hard to come by, mostly, for women.

The article sums my point up succintly;"a wife knows her place".

An aside I find it interesting that in '55 they spelt *favourite* this way.

The fact remains that the sexual stereotypical roles {among others} of the '50's directly led to rebellion and civil rights movements in the 60's.

To put it simply and bluntly, we know better than that now.
