Having seen the devastation first hand, with someone that was very close to me, I know what is is, and what it can do. I believe you and I spoke about this before, when we first met online... wouldn't it be better, if it is going to be discussed, that it NOT be in this way?
For the last 5 weeks, since I moved back to the West Coast, I have watched someone I care about deeply slip to within a moments breath away from death. She has amazed us all with her calm, rational acceptance of her coming death. There was never once where she showed any bitterness at all to anyone because of her plight.
Cancer doesn't pick and choose who it takes, it just claims the ones it wants. There is no rational reason why some get it and some don't. If you believe in God, then it's his will. If you don't, then Karma and Dharma (twins I used to date) can be blamed for it.
I would say I'm sorry for your predicament, but it wouldn't change the outcome.

For what it may be worth, I have lost several close cousins to various kinds of cancer and another one lost her first and only child from Uterine cancer, though she is in remission now. I am the child of the only sister in her family not to have children who died, or had cancer. I consider each day I live a gift. I can only offer my sincere regret that this affliction has come into your life. You have had to make many sacrifices in your life but blaming someone else for creating the bitterness in your life is just not right. I don’t understand why you feel such vehement hatred for two people who have done nothing more than discuss issues on a forum. I understand you believe I have caused pain to someone you cared about, but he has made his own life choices in spite of me. I did not cause his pain or sway his decisions. Those who know him well, understand that.
I too, wish you first, a recovery from the cancer, but if not recovery, then peace and a soft road for your journey. Bitterness and anger only intensifies the growth and spread of this disease. Please let it all go and focus on getting what joy out of life you can.

Now Tiberius has an interesting point, Minxie may herself be in a moral conundrum ‘tis true, although she does claim empathically that she does not support or claim the lifestyle she writes about, the same of course cannot be said of Goreans et al.
Now Tiberius {a self proclaimed Nazi} indicates that Minxies writings lead to what we seem to be reading in the news nightly and that is to say the horrendous kidnapping and molestation and murder of innocent children, whilst the jury is still out on the cause and effect of fictional portrayals of violence upon society there have indeed been a number of studies that show a direct correlation between the two.
Hence Tiberius may be right and I myself err on the side of the correlation.
This being said Tiberius is too thick to realise that he paints himself and all of Gor and all Goreans with the same brush that he uses to vilify Minxie and her writings. As you see my dear Nazi friend if you believe as you state that Minxie’s writings can contribute to the horrors we all hear about nightly then you must also believe that Gor and John Norman are directly responsible for the rapes and violence too.
Now as to the demise of this so-called “mouldy” board, one I must ask, then why oh why are Goreans so attracted to it, and conversely me? Of course you want to perpetuate the myth that I have been answered, and discredited, but in your heart you know it is not so. All these months later I am still receiving congratulatory mail.
You can state it over and over, but it is a waste of time, because there are three types of people.

You are right I don’t understand about Gor. Every Gorean I have debated with, (and that is many) have different ideas as to what it means.
You all spend a lot of time debating what it means, and you are a long way from agreeing.
However, I know what it meant to many of those you interacted with.
