Oh I will be here...outside of God, this is my "favorite" subject...I love to sew, make flowers, work in garden (when my back permits)...I even dappled a little bit in oil painting...but sewing is were my heart is...last year I bought me a new brother embrodiery (spelling) sewing machine..I have to say, that some days I sew for 10 to 12 hours at a time...I give most of what I make away...I had thought about trying to start a little business at home, but was afraid it would take away the joy I have in sewing if I knew I had to do it... but anyway...hope to talk to all of you and have lots of fun...I am glad I found this place from the other forum..oh and my real name is Sandra or some call me Sandi..so which ever you prefer, I answer to both..

Hi Sandi,
I am so glad you will be joining us over here.
I love working in the garden, well pulling weeds, keeping it clean and neat. It is a great job to do, and to talk to the Lord at the same time. If left alone

Hey, I'm a Sandra, too, but I guess you figured that out!!! I used to do a lot of sewing. My mother handed down to me the singer sewing machine that her mother made her clothes on. I have used 2 other machines and none of them compare to that old wonderful singer when it comes to smooth stitching and the most perfect top stitch you ever saw. I used to make my kids clothes when they were little, on that old machine. These other "newer" ones that were handed down to me are a pain!!!!!
I have often thought of getting back into it ( I would love to get my hands on one of those new "smart" sewing machines, but alas, they are too expensive) and still do a little. I always end up at the machine for hours too. I even made something awhile back that I am going to see if I can market. I'll tell you all about it after I do some patent checking. Don't have the money for a patent, but thought I would check out those e-mails " free inventors pack". There's probably nothing free about it, but it's worth a look see.
Cathy, didn't you say you had done some painting?
Anything you guys know something about......maybe you could post tips, patterns....ect. in the proper forum. I sure would appreciate it!!!

Sandy,
Yes I use to draw out things, like a bear and then my step son would cut it out for me, and we would sand, and I would paint. I did sell some of those. They did turn out cute.

Cathy, why did you stop making those things? It's a good way to make extra money, especialy if you know a lot of people! I made a 3 foot bunny Easter before last and when we hid eggs for D. I put that out there too. to this day he sometimes takes this wooden bunny to bed with him.........LOL

My saw vanished. I never did figure out where it went, and I just never bought another one. I did this with a couple of friends who are very talented.
