The First Kingdom - The Pridelands
|
|
|
Promontory Point
The pinnacle of power within the Pridelands; a perch that extends from Pride Rock and points accusingly into the sky. Simba resides upon his throne here.

The Grasslands
Rolling fields of viridian and sandy yellow define the seemingly endless terrain of African grasses, littered with herds ripe for picking for the occasional meal. An area where most rogues and wanderers pass through.

The Waterhole
The social center of the Pridelands. Besides getting a refreshing drink or taking a soothingly cool swim, the animals of the Pridelands chat, gossip, and basically relax from their busy day here.

The Elephant Graveyard
A haunting, sinister landscape composed of derelict bones and scathingly painful memories. Scar once resided here with his hyena companions, but now only emptiness and despair take refuge here. Though, there is more to this cemetary than what there appears to be...

The Gorge
Though primarily a canyon that veins through the Pridelands, it's mostly well known as the burial grounds of the great Lion King, Mufasa. A great, spiritual presence permeates this surrounding area, outcropped with timid splotches of trees and horrendous heaps of rocks and boulders. A location for solitude and deep reveries.

The Gates
The giant rock structures that stand dormantly within the heart of the Pridelands. Where did they originate? And where do they derive their mysterious transportation qualities from? Not much is entirely known about this landmark.. but it can be manipulated for either good or evil purposes.

The Outlands
Though not neccesarily a part of the Pridelands, it is an area of past chronicled importance nonetheless. This expanse of dry desert and heaps of termite mounds is where those who followed Scar were exiled by Simba. Zira and her vigilante Pride brooded here, plotting their vengenace, and return to the Pridelands. But with Zira gone and the war but a mere memory, this place is nothing more than a historical
blight on the landscape.

The Second Kingdom- The Moroccan Jungle

The Ruins
Lodged into the humid depths of the Jungle, is where moss and vegetation slither over the foundation of an ancient temple, crumbled to almost nothing of their former glory. However, this area houses the Pride of Utoro and Shiva, the King and Queen of the Morrocan Kingdom.

The Four Waterfalls
Loosely drooping vines; amazingly thick and beautiful plumage of exotic flowers and plants; and the calm, dull roar of the quad waterfalls that arch over the immense valley canyon they are born from. The inhabitants of the jungle derive nutrients, and base alot of religious belief from the water here, for it's been said the waterfalls were blessed by Aiheu himself.

Kunyua's Caverns
Kunyua- one of the most dangerous and insidious baboon shamans to have ever existed, met his end here. Evil magic is ripe within the dank bowels of these catacombs, leaking pestilence and mire as it belches disgustingly from the inner sanctum of Kunyua's old haunt. Strangely enough..rumors of strange noises and agonized moaning have been heard coming from these caves. Something isn't right here...

Timon and Pumbaas' Paradise
This Jungle is infamous for one particular reason: it's the old stomping grounds of that comical duo: Timon and Pumbaa. Simba also spent his adolescence here in exile, and Timon's colony took residence here after the fall of Scar. The meerkats still occupy this area, and the local lion Pride coexists well with them, with both species sharing the vibrant, green jungle peacefully. The region is also well known for it's elevated and astounding outlook points of the entire jungle, and of course is laden with grubs for the picking! Hakuna Matata!

The Third Kingdom - Kiwaraduala Kingdom

The Elevated Throne
With a kingdom so heavily plagued by floods, the homes of the lions here are above the surface level. They reside in a lifted hunk of stone that rivals Pride Rock's own height, with a vantage point atop of it that gazes upon the entire plane.

The Flooding Grounds
Directly north of the central home of the Pride, lies the largest pool of water in the entire region. The shimmering, rippling lake of crystalline water here is both a blessing, and a curse on the inhabitants, for when floods occur, the Pride is forced to move to reasonably high leveled areas considering the amount of liquid that builds up during the rainy season here.

Shani's Grove
Though acacia trees are not known to grow abundantly in one singular place, this particular area of the Kingdom simply fluorishes with them, as well as other plants, creating a teeming place of beautiful flora and fruit. There's a legend that a lioness shaman , Shani, who was almost literally bound with nature perished here, and her spirit has endowed the surroundings with lush greenery since passing.

The Hunting Bank
The weekly meals of all predators are mainly caught here, on the flatlined , saffron plains of the Hunting Grounds. Many antelope and wilderbeast migrate through this area at least twice a year and one must be wary of this side of the lake because the many assassins of the waters dwell here, waiting to strike upon the unsuspecting parched beasts.

The Majabali Planes
This area is renowned for both celebration and devastation. Disputes both small and large have been settled here, ending in either harsh injuries or death. Duels for the Kingdom between two males are often held here. Leading from the tall grasses of the Hunting Grounds , large stacks of Kopjes and hills mingle into rising humps of intermixed rock and vegetation. The lions relax here with another reluctant group, the local cheetahs that occupy themselves here from time to time. The two groups have formed a decent pact to share the area fairly..though time can only tell how long it will last.
