Re: books
i re-read "america the book" by jon stewart (i think that's the title!) a couple of days ago by the pool. that is always a fun read!
two other books i got to this past month were "the undomestic goddess", which was pretty cute but nothing spectacular (reminded me too much of myself, so i was beginning to get stressed our just from reading it!), and "wilt in nowhere", which i thought was absolutely great. i love all of tom's "wilt" books - i usually find myself laughing like crazy...they are very unique.
Re: books
My little sister has been working on Ana Karenina for over a year now. She's only on like page 100 or so. She'll read a few pages, read another book, read a few pages, read another book, etc. It's so complicated that she's had trouble getting into it, but she's damn determined to finish it before she dies.
As for me, I'm currently reading a reading curriculum basal and a science textbook. Super fun.
I am sure I will be reading a children's novel within the next month - to my students. My next grown-up book will be Sparks' next novel...

Re: books
I'm sure I would like it if I could focus enough to read it.
After seeing the movie, I went and got Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants to read. Good book....I don't know if I liked the book more or the movie. Usually, I always like the book better, but this one is a toss up! The girls in the movie were so good that picturing them as the characters when I read made it better.
Easy read, funny, sad, real....just a good book.
I'll be reading chemistry textbooks for a while to study for my entrance exams, but hopefully I'll find some time in there for a book...I'd like to read Da Vinci Code code again or Angels and Demons, but I've already read them both twice, so I should probably move on to something new...suggestions are welcome!
he is a rather funny british author. "wilt" is a book that i mentioned a few threads above. he also wrote "wilt in nowhere", which is the latest one, but i think there were a couple more. i think you would enjoy them. it is basically a satire about a college lecturer and his rather interesting wife and their completely disfunctional family. it's witty and rather funny.
