b4 photos?
darrin mentioned in a prevous post you made a more drastic of an transformation, can you post some of those pics? and you mentioned in your northernphysique profile you were in an accident, what happend?
Re: b4 photos?
I'll work on the before pics, lol. See if I can get up the courage to post some
As for the accident..it was several years ago (almost 10 now) I was coming home from my cousin's house (i was a passenger in the vehilce) and was alseep, it was around 2 am and as we were on the highway when another car crossed over the center and hit us head on then two other cars piled into the vehhicle that I was in. The driver that caused the accidend was drunk (over 3 times the limit) and high on something. She was ejected out her back window, due to the impact and died (broke her neck and back- i guess). The highway was closed for 4-6 hours while they investigated. The car I was in caught fire and a couple of citizens stopped and pulled me out (i was knocked onconscience) I smashed the side window out with my head, ouch . I woke up in the hospital not knowing what had happened, talk about the most scary thing in the world, as i woke up they were stitching up my face. I had numerous injuries (both internal and external)and was in intensive care. I had great doctors but the recovey sucked (to put it nicely)....until I met Darrin . Anyway, that's the story of the accident.

Re: b4 photos?
We all have our time to go and thankfully that wasn't your time. Thank the Lord.
When LA builds up the courage to post her before pics It may help me post my before pictures as well...though we have two totally different reasons I know exactly how she feels....but damn look at her now
Re: b4 photos?
As they say "everything happens for a reason"..and I'm glad that it wasn't my time, I still have a lot of life ahead of me. But it has made me a much STRONGER person and I am thankul for everyday that I'm here
Thank you Christine for all your support I'll probably post some before pics in the summer (after my next competition) I'll have to find some good ones and scan them in.
Re: b4 photos?
i didn't realize how serious of accident you were in,loriann. kudos to you for how far you have come over the years. and yes, thank god you are still here. i'm all for drunk drivers getting thier just repercutions
Re: b4 photos?
Ya, it was pretty bad Thank goodness i was sleeping or else the impact would have probably broken my neck..big ouch..but thats in the past and Darrin has helped me get my life back and I will ALWAYS be grateful to him for that
I have a ZERO, I mean double 00 tolerance for drinking and driving--its something that can be prevented and too many people suffer because of a fault in judgement. Thank goodness in my case the drunk died and not me
Re: b4 photos?
geeze lori, the strength you pocess girl is unbelievable. keep up th amazing work, no one will ever stop you from acheiving your dreams and goals.
Re: b4 photos?
Thanks for the encouraging words--its all the incredible support I have received over the years that keeps me going. There are always "bad apples" out there that would love to see me fail, but to all those--it won't happen lol.
you think once you post your before shots I could post my before and afters...afters of course of being me on my show day???.... i think together we could help others out and motivate people...as we both had very different before pictures I think this would help all women of all different shapes, sizes and physical fitness backgrounds!
Re: pics
Now we talking I sooooo understand where you coming from girl Some pics of mine are just off limits, like at the bottom of the ocean locked in titanium safe LOL.
As for you acident you have come through it girl. And I am sure it made you who you are...pain is good teacher..I have been there myself a lot. It can be very frustrating and there are two ways out..Either you feel sorry for yourself and dwell in it..or you just kick butt and learn from it Lots of pain and hardship in my life has made me more compasionate person. I apreciate life much more..I see the beauty of everyday life
I am learning to see something beautiful in every person...be it the way they smile, the gesture of their arm,hair...whatever...life is too short to spend it in negative mood.I believe that any situation-no matter how sad or hard it may seem at that moment can be turned for better eventually
Re: pics
Cheers doing my best I trip quite often but I tend to get up brush of the dust and carry on Most importantly I surround myself with positive and energetic people-makes life a tad easier
Re: pics
I wish i could do the same!
If it wasn't for my blog and this forum i would have a hard time making goals and sticking to them!
Unfortunantly my family is a food orientated one not that thats bad but it makes it bloody hard visiting, but i just bought myself a stylish cooler that now goes everywhere with me so i am slowly learning to survive the family visits
And as for friends they are very out of shape and busy with their work commitments so exercise and sporty activity really isn't on the menu when we all get together, but atleast now i know how to say NO
I am learning shocker i know hehe
