 Wut a way to kick off the second half!!
leiter pitched amazin, and the mets HIT the ball!!

The eighth inning started off with a walk to john valentin and then the mets just went buck wild with 6 straiht hits including an:

-Alomar Double (2nd of game)
-Cedano infield single
-Piazza triple (2 rbis, 3 in game)
-Vaughn single (rbi)
-Fonzi single
-Payton Single
-Burtitz popped up (wut else is new?)
-Ordonez popped up
-Timo hit a base clearin double (3 rbis)
-Alomar single (second hit in inning)
-Cedano grounded out

Inning Totals: 8 hits, 1 walk, 8 runs, 1 error

I guess you could say its not to bad for a team whos been rele strugglin at the plate.
