Where did everything go?
All else is as it should be...the Astros are in the toilet, the Dodgers are struggling, the Reds are barely ahead of the Astros, I have another new guitar....
That reminds me! I found a biscuit bridge resonator (an Epiphone named, imaginatively enough, the Biscuit) and I've been playing the tar out if. Funky delta sound, nice neck, satin mahogany finish -- it looks like a sepia photograph.
ezboard was hacked a few weeks ago and all boards were wiped out, not just us. Sometime during the US Memorial weekend, I think it was. There's an announcement at the top of the main page, you may have to be signed in to see it. They say they're working on getting things restored but who knows...
I have "needed" a biscuit bridge for a long time now. I've had my spider bridge Dobro for 20 years, and it's time to expand my horizons. A friend came over and checked it out in my studio, which is a converted garage apartment behind the house. "Man," he said, "I wish **I** didn't have to carry my new guitars past my wife to go up the stairs."

Hey John, Nice looking guitar man! Those biscuit bridges seem to have a more blues tone. A friend of mine got a National Tri-Cone recently. He makes me angry sometimes. Speaking of baseball................. well you did already .

LOL! You could easily replace the word "wife" with mom, dad, or live-in-girlfriend.. That's probably the number 1 fear of any guitar player who buys a new axe!

No, no, no! That was way back last December, when I got my Ibanez acoustic 5-string bass guitar.
I still need a pickup for the biscuit. I took my newly amplified Dobro (Fishman Resonator pickup) down to Austin for a gig Friday night and I am pretty happy with it. At last, and amplified Dobro. The only downside was that I could hear a loose part rattling around inside...it turned out to be one of those thin washers that go under the output jack. I checked, and sure enough, there was already one installed.
At least I got it out without taking off the cover plate & resonator.
Yeah, Keith, the Reds and the Astros are having a losing contest....
