When you go out walking/running - do you carry?
A road map
One of them nifty and 'oh so fashionable' water bottles
A bottle of Bollingers (Yes, I have actually seen this!)
A cigarette
One end of a chain whose other end is attached to the biggest, ugliest, meanest dog in the history of canine evolution

I voted for #5, except Ozzie is quite smart, loveable and adorable!

I sometimes carry a book, but only if it's bright light. I used to wander around in the half light straining to read from the page then wonder why my eyes were so sore much of the time. Duh! Not to mention the pain from the bruises from banging into lamp-posts. ;)

Tonight though I did carry an umbrella. That ensures that it won't rain.

Re the 'cigarette' option. I have seen this. A woman dressed up in all the fancy designer exercise gear, those little weight bracelets on, power walking - and all the time puffing on a cigarette. Whoooooo boy... :smokin

I voted water bottle because when it is hot in the summer, the water keeps me walking longer. I love walking...try to do a couple miles everyday....good thinking time.

Sanduleak...you are the first I have ever heard of or seen that reads while walking :lol Good for you!!

I cannot read while walking or riding in the car, as I get quite dizzy.

LV,

I tend not to read in the car (as a passenger) as I'm a great one for meditating on the scenery. Tend not to read while driving either.

I was in Italy once, just out of Florence, heading north on the Autostrade, and one of those little pocket rockets the Italians love to drive came by at maybe 140kmh (85 mph) and the 'driver' had the newspaper spread out across the windscreen in front of him, :eek casually reading it. Every now and then he'd lower the page and look over it, to steady the direction he was driving. I let him go past...way waaaay past.

Believe it or not, my husband can drive and read a map. I swear, his eyes must go in different directions! :)

Now, saunter over to my place, kick off your shoes and just relax!

Definately the dog. *L* Except it's a well-diciplined, smart-looking and well-trained dog that heels at my left leg without a leash. (although I carry a leash over my shoulder so I don't get a ticket!)

Usually, there are do-do bags sticking out of my pocket too. :D
