What do you like to do outside of IDF
Hello and good morning,
Every once in a while I like to dig into the minds of everyone and learn something new, and this is one of those times. My question is an easy one, what do you like to do outside of simming?
Me, I am a big movie buff and my job at Blockbuster helps support that habit. I have over 250 movies in my own collection and rent about 20 a month. I have 3 VCRs and 4 DVD players.
I am also a big collector. I have collected many things over the years including but not limited to Comic books, comic cards, CCG's, Heroclix, video games, video game systems, CDs, toys, Discworld and Douglass Adams books, coins, ect.
I also like Video Games and Anime viewing, I watch Trigun and Cowboy Bebop every night on Cartoon Network.
So what about the rest of you? Send you answer and then Have a nice day and Drive safely.

I love Anime as well Captain Logan. I'm a fan of Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors and Ranma 1/2. I also enjoying watching trek and at the mercy of Captain Zhaan of the Goliad I like Enterprise alot, especially minefeild, has the Rommies in it!
I also like designing starships and I love to surf the net and chat on the startrek.com chatroom. I usually on Friday's between 4:00 and 6:00pm GMT....damm britain.
Regards all,

Re: What do you like to do outside of IDF Lol, what do I really do outside the IDF? Umm, I wish that I had something really interesting to write up to answer your question. I spend my time playing the piano for starters, although I'm nowhere near being a pro pianist yet, even though I've been learning for years. I love to daydream, I guess that's why I love simming since my life here seems to be one long dream comparitively, lol, I'm kidding. But I am pretty much of a loner in real life ... and a bit of an escapist.
I spend a lot of time on message boards, reading fan fictions although I haven't had the courage to write one. I've thought about doing one but have never started writing one ... I did post something about this recently so hopefully that will motivate me to start writing a fan fiction. Especially since my CO responded to my thread, lol.
I also RPG in an independent RPG based on the TV show 'Alias.' Although the character there and I have little in common ... but I do really love playing her even though the actress who plays her isn't signed on to star in the current 3rd season .... I'm kind of angry about that but the storylines on their third season have been progressing in a timely fashion so I'm convinced that my character will return and liven up the show even more than it already is.
Did I mention message boards? LOL. I did. One board I'm crazy about is turning into a Science fiction/fantasy RPG based solely on its more active members ... I haven't decided to sign on just yet since my RL has disappointingly not allowed me to post enough this past month, not only on SB10 but on my other RPG and my role on my independent simm (DS15). If I do I will have 'super powers', lol, the joker out of the group ....
I do collect CDs, well used to. I don't go shopping that much for them anymore these days. Watching TV is another hobby ... I watch Enterprise as well, including Alias (duh, I mentioned it), Fraiser, Boston Public. I watch taped episodes of the ABC soap opera All My Children. All the other shows I love are syndicated .... it seems that they are mostly retro shows if you can call it. M*A*S*H is one of my most favourite programs of all time, followed by ST:TNG, and Monty Python. I have a couple Canadian shows, a few that are still airing but most of you wouldn't know about them since they're only like popular in Canada ... and air on the CBC every friday evening.
Re: What do you like to do outside of IDFOutside of IDF, I like to write and read fanfiction. I also like to make websites (my website is currently under construction, but for future reference, members.wmguild.co.uk/LimaNara/index.html).
I love Star Trek, Star Wars, and Harry Potter chatrooms, and taking online quizzes on Quizilla.com and Emode.com
I am a computerholic, if you haven't already guessed.
I like drawing, singing and writing.
One of my main focuses right now is AFJROTC events, such as the Cadet Offsite Training (10/31-11/02/2003), Military Ball (11/13), and the upcoming Rifle Team Competitions (12/13... I'm not violent, I just have violent tendencies... is it so wrong to love a rifle?)
If I didn't mention I'm only sane to a certain extent, you probably already guessed.
Don't poke me; I bite people who poke me. Just ask Ebony...
Re: What do you like to do outside of IDF
I have a slight update about what I do besides what I wrote on October 27th.
On October 31st, I started my first blog which operates from the blog*spot main site. A "blog" is short for a web log ... which essentially is a web journal. I kind of got the *infection* after viewing another fellow simmer from DS15 who has one .... apparently soo many have them, so that its like every second someone updates their blog. I suppose it just might be a fad and I'll laugh at myself in a few years when or if it becomes a faux pas.
I enjoy taking quizzes from emode and quizilla as well as my CO, Captain Treniek. I post those results from quizilla there ... I also take results from the Quiz Diva site ... but those quizzes, lol ..... are suited for *mature* persons since they all deal with sexuality. I've been an emode member since Summer 2001 .... and have taken practically all of the quizzes there. I have a username at quizilla (since I started blogging) .... but I haven't designed a quiz there yet, because I would rather post something interesting/informative/and good ... so people will give it a good (5) level rating. Some quizzes there aren't top rate in my opinion ... I don't take all the quizzes from quizilla ... and blog only 75% to 50% of the results I get and like ... from quizilla.
I've done most of the quizzes from Quiz Diva ... but some results are too risque to put there. But I did post several ... I wouldn't recomend people to take quizzes from that site unless you're like 18 or so .... lol. They have like porn pop-ups .... not exactly a family friendly quiz site if you get what I mean. But some quizzes there are decent .... and then it goes to the well stuff I wouldn't tell my grandmother.
I try to post some actual personal information ... well not too personal ... mind you. Since it is a "public" blog .... but so far no one in my family knows about it ... well not that I know of .... that would be a scary thought if they saw even what quizzes I post there.
So far the only people who know my blog's URL ... are a couple simmers from DS15 and a yahoogroups' message board that I frequent regularly, I suppose I trust them enough to read it or know how to reach it. I don't have a tag board yet on that site but I'm working on it so visitors to my blog can leave me messages.
Re: What do you like to do outside of IDF
Hello I am Cmdr. Alayne Tolbin from the Excalibur.
I work for the United States Postal Service and I am a 42 yr old female. I have been in this Simm for almost 2 yrs. In my free time I read my posts from the Excalibur and I do the normal things like work on my house and clean. I know that sounds like so much fun but hey you gotta do what ya gotta do. I do enjoy going to the movies when I get the free time, but I have to say my free time is spent working with the Excalibur. This is my fun and it keeps me busy and happy. I hope you all enjoy your Simms as much as I do and have.
Cmdr. Alayne Tolbin
First Officer
U.S.S Excalibur NCC-2997
I never even knew this existed until I had to avoid doing revision
I'm a History/Education student over here in Stirling, Scotland, but I actually come from the Shetland Isles up north. I've been a huge Star Trek fan for years (though I pretty much try to ignore Enterprise, soz, but it just bugs me big time), especially Deep Space 9--both the TV series and the books set afterwards. I also love Peter David's New Frontier series as well and highly recommend them to all.
Aside from that I love movies, computer games and chilled out music. As well as writing--if the teaching thing doesn't work out I want to become a writter.
I've been simming for just over a year now, and have already become a Captain, and now a Read Admiral--pretty impressive wouldn't you say? As well as being a part of two other IDF Sims and I'm planning an joining an independant one security chief Hevanovich (or Dex to some) is trying to set up. So most of my spare time goes into Simming which I love, as you get to meet great peeps like you lot and I get to write (and just hope others like it).
