Powerless
I am powerless over many things. At first, I thought the problems in my life strictly related to the alcohol and the drugs. Not so. Unfortunately the common denominator in all my problems is ME. Yea. Frustrated at home, frustrated at work. Nothing terrible is happening - just a lot of little things that now seem to be huge. Know what I mean? So, last night instead of going to a meeting like I was planning, I was "just too upset" so I stayed home and went to bed early. Smart Huh? Did I call my sponsor? No. Why is it when we get into a funk, we always want to stay there a little longer? We instinctively do the wrong thing. I only know one truly right thing that I do. Don't Drink.

Thank you Linda, I know exactly how you feel, I was sick yesterday and now that I have come to, so to speak, I feel like I am trying to make up for lost time so I am kinda a workaholic. Anyway I was so sick that I couldn't concentrate so I left work, and just vegged until my doctors appointment, I felt like I had just been the laziest sob ever. Its funny how the alcholic mind works, anyway the test came back and my liver function is high so they are gonna run somemore test. Oh well, the worst day sober is still better than any day when I was partying.

Amazing Things
After yesterday, I decided it would be a good idea if I went to a meeting tonight. Not too much after that a friend called. It seems she has this "emergency hair appointment" and can't chair the "As Bill Sees It" tonight, and could I please do it for her. I guess I will definitely be there tonight. PS John - I work with a guy with your name. His middlen name is Jeffrey. Who'd a thunk it??

Your kidding he has my last name too? Its good to hear from you Linda, I am going to a meeting tonight, I go on Mondays and Thursdays. This morning my better half calls me and tells me my little girl has the chicken pox, I work for a doctors office, so I told her to come in. Well on the way home her car dies, so this week has been weird to say the least. I'm glad I can be of service to her and to anyone eles who needs me, I spent 15 years taking from everybody, so I owe more than I can ever pay back, and I'm glad because it gives me a since of purpose.
