Wedding Details From JSMB {Stacie)
knew Swampboy wouldn't get to the good details, so hear I am to tell all!

The wedding was held at 5pm (however, it didn't start until about 5:30pm) at Riverbend Church in Austin, Texas. It wasn't in the main sanctuary but in a side chapel they had. Upon walking in, there was high security and lists determining who could attend the ceremonies. Once in the door, let me just say their candle bill must be enormous!!! There were candles everywhere...in indentions of the walls, lining the aisles, little bouquets on the platform areas - everywhere. The center aisle was covered with white carpet, and rose petals lined the edges of the aisle. The guests of the wedding were escorted to their seat on the outside of the aisles, so that the actual wedding montage were the only ones to walk down the aisle. You guys remember Wick_Dawg? He was an usher for the wedding =). Anyway, after the string quartet played numerous songs, it began. All the respective parents and family and friends made their way down the aisle, and then the crowd rose. Jessica entered the sanctuary and was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. Her hair was spirally and hanging down, accented with 2 $20,000 barettes in the back (Yikes!!)Her dress was designed by Vera Wang and was so beautiful. Her train of the dress was about 5 - 7 feet long and she had trouble walking up the stage with it! The ceremony began. Joe Simpson hesitated saying " I do" in response to giving his daughter away - a real tearjerker. Nicks father, John was asked go to give the opening prayer blessing the two - he couldnt make it through without the tears. Jessica's friend was the minister and has known Jess since they were in 5th grade - the ceremony was serious yet comical to where it was very enjoyable and genuine. Jessica had 8 bridesmaid and Nicholas had 7. Jeff, Drew, and Justin were among the men and did sing an a calm version of "My Everything". The cute part was that Jessica sang portions of the song to Nick (no microphone of course) and was just a squeezing his hand and winking at him throughout the ceremony. Let me remind you that Nick was very nervous at the beginning of the ceremony, he was breathing fast and hard! When he saw Jessica step out onto the aisle, he smiled like the biggest ham I have ever seen in my life. The song Jessica wrote for Nick was called "My Love" and I believe it weill be on her next album. Her songs are geared toward her husband, her wedding, her special nights, etc - straight from Trina - her writing assistant.

One question that the minister asked Jessica was, "Jessica, you have waited your whole life for this day, haven't you?" Her response was, "Absolutely!" (Lisa, I should have placed money on that!!!)- the crowd laughed.

It was a very glorious ceremony and very beautiful. There were about 200 - 250 peope in attendance (veryyyy small) and the 2 had a 1937 Chrysler for their car to the reception.

The reception was held at 6:30pm at the VERY nice Barton Creek Country Club in Austin as well. Upon entering the club, picture of Jessica and Nick lined the entrance surrounded by candles (again) and a large quilt made by the guests hung at the entrance to the dining room. While waiting for Nick and Jessica to arrive (they were taking pictures) h'ordeuvres (?) and cocktails were served and might I add that Justin from 98 degrees likes to eat!!! Anyway, we ( AJf and I) talked with John, Nick's dad, Tina Simpson, Joe Simpson, Drew, and random other people. In case you recognize the names, Jess's bridemaids (the oness I knew) were Jessica (Cooper, who was recently married), Lisa Neff, Jessie her dancer, Robin...and the others I was unfamiliar with. Back to the party -

Jessica and Nick arrived and the crowd moved in! After talking with everyone, dinner was served. Now, I have never seen such "food" in my life. I cant even tell youw hat I ate, except for there were menus provided for everyone so we knew what we were consuming. The meals were served in courses.Lobster Brisque, Asparagus and Tomato compote, raised Brenison something, some kind of wheat roll, Lemon chicken, and a cucumber/tomato/raspberry in vinegarette dressing, followed by the wedding cake.

Another cute moment was the maind of honor's toast. Ashlee couldn't make it without several tears, but her punchlines was this, "You know....when Jess and I were little kids...we used to take baths together, its not fair - now Nick gets to take baths with her!" - very sisterlike and adorable. For the best man toast Drew went on to talk about Nick and how special he was in his life, how they are best friends, and how he was going ot embarrass Nick during the toast - they he says " nevermind, I'll let Nick embarrass himself on the dance floor" =).The father/daughter dance was adorable and jessica definitely is a daddy's girl!!! It was obvious =). I had the luxury of talking to Jessica and I gave her a big hug and told her the MB wanted to congratulate her and we missed her - I also told her some random other things (Lisa, I didnt forget you) and I wished her much love, happiness, and all that mushy stuff. =) The couple left this morning at 6am for Fiji ( a small island VERY far away) =)

It was a wonderful experience. I am blessed to have been able to attend and AJF is a great guy - thank you.I had a blast buddy. :o )

I do have random things to scan and show you - the invitation, the menu, and napkins, etc HOWEVER, since I am on vacation here in Dallas - my scanner would be at home. I leave for home on Oct 31, and should be back on November 1st - you guys will make it until then.

The bad thing about it is NO cameras etc were allowed. In Style magazines bought the rights to the wedding and since there was a demand for pictures from the media, etc - they were very strict about it. They even did searches and patdowns!

If you have questions, feel free to ask. Just be patient for a response - Im on vacation
