Tole painting
SPRING FLOWERS NOTEBOX

Paints Required:
DecoArt: White Soft Blue Green Mist Deep Teal
Camel French Vanilla Honey Brown Raspberry
True Ochre Antique Teal Country Blue Lt Buttermilk
Yellow Ochre French Grey Blue Glorious Gold

Brushes:

Loew-Cornell: La Corneille Golden Taklon Brushes:

7150 – ¾” Wash 7000-3 Round 7300-8 Flat Shader 7350-10/0 Liner

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Seal the box and sand. Basecoat with Soft Blue.
2. Transfer the pattern very lightly. (Pattern size is 18cm Long x 9.5cm High).
3. IRIS – Base with a mix of Country Blue and White (1:1). Add more White to this mix for the sideloaded highlight. Shade with French Grey Blue.

Add the detail – linerwork French Vanilla on the lower petals then add Camel over a smaller area.

Add the leaves with a mix of Deep Teal and French Grey Blue (1:1). Shade with Antique Teal. Highlight with Green Mist, dry brushed.

4. DAFFODILS – Base with Yellow Ochre then shade with True Ochre. Deepen shading with Honey Brown. Add the details with Green Mist and highlight with a sideload of Lt Buttermilk. The stems are a brush mix of Green Mist and Antique Teal.
5.
ANEMONE BLANDA – Leaves - Load a round brush with Green Mist and dip the tip in Deep Teal and pull a comma stroke from the outisde to the base of the leaf. Repeat until the whole leaf is filled, reloading for each stroke. Add stalk in Deep Teal.
6. Finish the top edge of the box with Glorious Gold.
7. Leave for 24 hours before sealing with several coats of Matt Varnish.

i like this.. i have an old metal bread box waiting to be painted on... my colors are green yellow and violet so i could just change the colours..
if and when i get some money to paint.. i'll take a picture of it..
