To the Jewel of the Hawks
Sapphire,
I've heard that you have feelings for me. While I can't say for sure if it's mutual, I can say that I admire you for your dedication. Now that I know some of your past, It shames me that I've kept so much from everyone for so long. While your past just made you stronger, mine just made me hide behind ever increasing walls.
My enforced absense just made it all that much clearer to me what I was doing. Perhaps we can talk?
Re: To the Jewel of the Hawks
Don't take out on Chatterbox. He didn't say a word about it. I made a wild guess from all that had been going on while I was gone.
Zan kept me up to date on most events. She said that Chatts had said you were pretty upset about...things.. concerneing my... absense.
If your going to place the blame on anyone finding out, place it on me.
Re: To the Jewel of the Hawks
Chatts didn't tell you? You found out on your own? Oh gods! I can't believe I snapped like that! Then again, it seems to be a habit of mine, snapping at people for no reason. Uh...how's your absence?
Re: To the Jewel of the Hawks
Nearly at an end. Though I will have a lot of catching up to do. I'll be woefully behind on current events and all the newest regulations and rules. Going to have to have a re-evalutation before I can take to the field again.
To be honest though, I'm not sure I want to go back to the field. The Military life was not something I chose, but that's neither here nor there. I should be back by the end of the month.
Re: To the Jewel of the Hawks
That's good. Truth be told, there aren't any changes to the rules and regs (to my knowledge), but I'll be happy to update you on current events. Let's see...Chatts is still annoying, you just missed Cami's wedding (Phantom told you about that, right?) and it looks like Mon*Star's getting antsy. Rumor has it he's hired a new pimp because Jester isn't doing his job right and he needs a replacement for Dragor and Hardware. The MATI have been kinda quiet, which is not good and I'm about a gazillion steps closer to turning Kyle into a eunic.
Everyone misses you, Jon, especially me. I enclosed a holovid of Camiel's wedding; now tell me the announcements Chatts and I made weren't half bad (for some reason, certain individuals think they were jacked up a little. Maybe on Chatt's part, but I was pretty aloof on mine).
Re: To the Jewel of the Hawks
Chatts is Chatts, no getting around that unless you completly re-programed him. Oh I did hear about that little fiasco over at Wings of Freedom. Zan told me about that one. Don't think either knew she was there at the time. and yes,I heard about the wedding. For some reason I just cannot see those two as a pair. Then again I guess that's just me. It's hard to believe that Camiel is all grown up too. I remember her first day at Hawk Haven. Has that much time passed?
Why does it not surprise me about Mon*Star? Just what we need, another pimp under his thumb. Maybe we'll be lucky and Jester will completly vanish. I can't say I like the idea of pimps being legal in some places, it's a fact of life. Prostitution is one of the oldest trades in the known universe. I know about Dragor, but what happened to Hardware? How many of the original Mob is truely left? Melodia, err Jadine Starr that is, now lives a respectable life on Mars (Speaking of which, when will her & the Cowboy ever settle down? or is that destined to be a long distance love affair?) Timestopper is gone too. Let's hope the MATI will soon vanish, but don't look for it to happen anytime soon.
Serves Kyle right. He has been nothing but an arrogent, snot nosed, punk that has a problem with keeping his mouth shut. He's also one of the biggest womanizers around with an ego to match. Hmm.. Makes you wonder what he's hiding doesn't it?
More like everyone misses the fact that I took care of 95% of the paperwork and reports, did all the patrol schedueling and was the buffer between The Commander and the rest of the 'Hawks. Especial when he was in a bad mood when something didn't go right.
No... Not half bad. Maybe a little brash, but hey, what ever works right? Besides if anyone wants to complain, tell them to take it up with Camiel and Brightlight.
Is it me or are the replies getting longer each time?
Re: To the Jewel of the Hawks
Yes, they are, but only because you have so much to talk about. Now, let me answer all of your questions.
Well, from what I've seen of Hardware, he's okay (at least, okay, compared to the rest of the Mob). Word has it that he left the Mob because of its growing preverted nature. About all that's left of the original Mob are Buzz Saw, Molecu-Lar, Zero, Windhammer, Mumbo Jumbo, Yesman and the three Mob Elite members. And you be careful when talking about Jadine; that's my half-sister (and also the one member of my biological family I actually like) you're discussing about. She's not that bad, though; then again, I've never experienced her the way you have.
No, no one's misses the fact you've done most of the paperwork. I've been doing my own since I first got here, remember? Condor's taken care of all the patrol scheduling and has been the 'buffer' for Stargazer long before you got here, or so I'm told.
Brash? Those flower girls were practically deaf, I had to do something to get them going! Chatts didn't arrange a private wedding so we could just sit there and die of boredom! Nonetheless, thanks for the compliment on my announcement in the wedding vid. Yes, I really did dye my hair navy blue and cut it to shoulder length; I got sick of being mistaken for Mon*Star little pet bitch Astrala. You have no idea how annoying it is to have everyone look at you in a certain manner.

I'll keep that in mind, about Jadine that is. But it would be nice to know that James will have finally caught (pun intended ~_^ ) his dream gal. Heavens knows he's moped around the station long enough. Any mention of her what so ever and just watch the expression on his face. He get's this far away, slightly dreamy look, right along with that goofy smile. Unless you want to hear some of the so called songs he's created about her, don't ask about them. But if you do.... have fun. Enjoy the torture.
As for Condor, you also have to remember that from the time we, the first team, arrived here that Condor was retired. And with me being the defacto leader of the group I ended up playing buffer. (Ok, some introspective here. If Condor is/was a retired SilverHawk, then why are we, Bluegrass, The Kidd, the Steel Twins and myself, always refered to as the 'Original team'? there had to have been someone besides just the Commander and Condor keeping things under control. Who were they and what happened to them?)
Jon
Psst... They wasn't deaf, they were ignoring you.. But I bet they wish they were deaf now. }:P
Re: To the Jewel of the Hawks
Maybe there was a previous team before you guys, but I'm not sure. You'll have to ask Condor about it. Then again, it might be possible that he and Stargazer were under local supervision, if ya get my drift. And no thanks, but I think I've heard a song or two from Bluegrass. Gods, he's awful! But so is Chatts, but at least he can mimic other singers to hide it.
Believe me, Jon, those girls are already sorry they ignored me. Talk about airheads! They must've been varsity cheerleaders or something to be that ditzy. So, I look good in blue? Well, thanks. I think.

Well, a week or so to go. Have a lot of packing up to do. Most will go into storage, but everything else will go to my quarters at the station. Zan will be bringing them. She has my code, just to let you know.
Maybe I'll ask the Commander one day about it. Right now I just want to get settled again. Are we still on for that talk when I get back?
