Thundercat question
I was rereading Full Circle, and I am wondering about Endora's post-op, which I personally think will involve chemo of some sort to keep the cancer from coming back.
I always envisioned Tcats as having a pelt of short fine fur all over their bodies. What do you guys think? This may affect how Endora views herself as chemo reaction sets in...
Re: Thundercat question
The last time I checked, the tumor itself orginated in Endora's vocal cords; once those were removed, there shouldn't be any remaints of cancer in her body. I know this for a fact. And as to her looks, they were developed before we came up with the idea of making her Thunderian.
Re: Thundercat question
Hmmm.. well, I was basing my thoughts on personal experiences concerning my uncle... chemo is still quite often used to kill any cancer cells that may remain... they're sneaky l'il buggers... but I'll go with the flow.
Re: Thundercat question
maybe the chomo affected some of the fur on her face, thus the reason she wears the mask in public? Just a theory.

Re: Thundercat question
There's usually some kind of chemical treatment after removal, even if the cells are only pre-cancerous. My mother had a squalloma removed from her leg, and they gave her a bunch of neat little gel things to apply medicine directly to the area of ht==the removal. Really neat technology, but they don't stay on too well.
Re: Thundercat question
I guess, but maybe Endora's an exception. See, my mom had a tumor growing in her thyroid a decade ago and got the whole thing surgically removed. I'm not sure about any chemical treatments, but she does have to take medication to make up for her thyroid and has to go for blood work every once in a while.
Re: Thundercat question
If the tumor is benign, then there won't be any chemo. But when malignant tumprs are fremoved, there's almost always chemo. After my dad, an uncle, and an aunt got through it, I'm all too familiar with the process. My uncle's was a throat tumor, and even with the Chemo, it still came back. Hmmm.. seems like a topic to think about...
