Name: Thora Haart
Gender:female
Age/year group: 11 fist year
Position: Student/ Pirate
Appearance:Matted raven dreadlocks cascade down her shoulders. A cesspool of olive green forms her big round eyes.
She is a little tall for her age and has a strong build after a year of working with swords and parts of tables due to her long and continuing faze of wanting to be a pirate. Another minor detail about her is, like many eleven year olds, she has a tabe leg in place of the lower half of her right leg. She is constantly sizing up other tables, stools and hatstands to change it as fashion or occasion dictates
Background:Thora was raised in oxford with her witch mother, and had a very normal life until her family home was raided by pirates while her mother was out. The pirates however were not entirely competent and had trouble pillaging and plundering and, in actual fact they weren’t even pirates. Thora felt sorry for them and decided to join their gang to help them destroy her home. After taking all the valuables that she could find she thought the only pirate thing left to do was set her house on fire. Unfortunately she did this first in the front room then went to the back of the house to light another fire. This was not a great idea as Thora discovered afterwards when she couldn't find an exit that wasn't engulfed in flames. After a moment of smoke induced thoughts Thora decided that the best was to get out of the house was to go out a window, but at that moment a burning table crashed though the ceiling from their second story and trapped her right leg from the knee down. The pirates, hearing her distress, jumped up to save her. Fortunately the pirates used to be fire fighters and their ship was just a fire engine with a black flag tied to it.
When the fire was out and Thora was released from under the table she was horrified to find that most of her right leg was disfigured and useless. Their Witch neighbour seeing her distress quickly amputated the disfigured part of her leg, for the missing part of the limb attached the only unburnt leg of the table that had crushed it.
When her mother retuned a few minutes later she had nothing but white hot murderous rage for her daughter and demanded to know what had happened. Thora just repeated calmly that she was in training to be a pirate and asked her mother if she liked her stylish new table leg, leg. The mother had full intention to throw her out for her doings and let her live with the pirate/fire-fighters when an owl came bearing the letter from Hogwarts, so her mother decided to let her go there and Thora was pleased because this was another one of her wishes.
Thora was delighted, and immediately developed a full plan to become the best witch/pirate there ever was.
Personality: Thora is very obsessive with pirates and other passing fads. She displays calmness in the face of adversary and has now developed a mature sense for fire safety. She likes to use pirate dialogue where ever possible; she is also impulsive and loves to show off her wooded leg to anyone and everyone.
Skills and Likes: Though some people may not guess Thora is actually obsessed with pirates. Her skills include sword fighting and woodwork ( her speiciality is with the lave) She is quite strong, (sailing fire-trucks). She likes nicly laved table legs and ships.
Weaknesses and Dislikes: her weaknesses are termites and ruffled shirts. she hates it when people make fun of her or her leg.
Pet(s): none but she wants a monkey or onw of those magic talking birds.
