The images/banners for this site
I took down the cool art images as I don't have the server space to store them...however the one and only Reid Iford (co-admin of; Mindfull Wisdom) will be coming to my rescue so we can get them back up again.
I want the site to not only be a source of feedback and research info and good conversation between us members of the ...ahem...art community, but also fun and a joy to scroll through. So we'll get the classic paintings 'n stuff back up again ASAP.
Thanks for your patience. Remember...any suggestions - other than (&%@$ off you *&(*&^) - will be considered.
(Now I gotta get Reid to show me where he had that page of computerised fireworks exploding. That was hard case. )

Far be it from me to criticise...
Actually no, I'm close enough to criticise - the cutesy little icons and animated smilies drive me to distraction. Leave 'em out. If one can't express oneself without enlisting the aid of rabid pixels dreamed up by some spotty computer geek in Peoria Illinois, then maybe one shouldn't be in the business.
Re: Far be it from me to criticise...
Thanks for the input, DougSoup. The smilies are there as a bit of fun, and I have no desire that stylistic devices should bury the depth of content. The site is still in the building stages and we're looking to get a fair number of serious discussion topics going. As for the ability to express oneself and whether one should be in the business - I'm not going to bite.
Feel free to add anything constructive into any of the forums, to stimulate some discussion.

I rather like the icons! If one feels one must be limited and barricaded in by stodgy and stuffy ideals, one might as well suffocate! Keep in mind, here we cannot see others' faces or hear their tone of voice, so emoticons can help to bridge that gap. It allows one's personality to show thru beyond what the written word can convey. For example, I'm feeling rather obnoxious at the moment, so here are some extra emoticons for your viewing pleasure!

Sandy, love the artwork. Wonderful touch, very pleasing to the eye.
