The Wailing Wall.
I know this probably doesn't fit the topic..but it is a very religious place.
But here are some pictures of the wailing wall..or the western wall. It's very beautiful.
This is a picture of the Wailing Wall, which is the only section where
actual blocks of stone are still present which once formed the temple mount,
the foundation of the great temple.
This is yet another picture of the Wailing Wall from another angle.
This is a tunnel which has been unearthed to the north side of the Wailing
Wall which shows even more of the actual wall.
This is a scale model of the temple which exists in about a one acre park
which shows a scale model of what Jerusalem was like in first century A.D.
This is a dungeon below the house of Caiaphas wherein Jesus may have spent
the night following His arrest (Matthew 26:57).
This hill which is called The Place of the Skull, was the place
upon which Jesus was crucified (Mark 14:22). It is sometimes called Golgotha
which means “the place of the skull.”
The Garden Tomb. This is the place in which Jesus was buried (Mark 15:46). It's also from where he rose from the dead 3 days after being put to death on the cross.
This is a picture of the inside of the tomb in which Jesus
was buried. John 19:41 tells that this tomb was in a garden, similar to the
one that is found around this tomb.
That's all for now...Im not a religious person. But this is just so beautiful...and amazing. So awesome. It mesmorizes me. :) I think that's pretty neat...and when I find some more info...ill post as to how the temple came down. Im not too sure..since Im a little rusty on the biblical teachings and what not. :D
Re: The Wailing Wall.
