The Three Questions of Allabap
Just a few things I feel are important to the spiritual well being of an aspiring Christian Wiccan…
A: If the Pope sh*ts in the woods, would it stink?
B: If Gerald Gardner sh*ts in the woods, what would it mean if it looks like a turtle?
3: Should you give a sh*t?
A: While I personally am inclined to think it may reek to high heaven, there are many who believe that the Pope’s sh*t simply does not stink. Possibly a good topic of debate among theologists, religious leaders and other pompous asses, unfortunately it is very unlikely that the Pope will ever sh*t in the woods for us, so the results of any such debate would not be irrefutable evidence of the existence of an odor.
B: While the probability is high that at many times in his life MR Gardner did indeed sh*t in the woods, unfortunately, again, it is very unlikely that this will be happening again, so any chance of divination is lost. Anyways, if anyone were indeed to see a turtle, or a serpent, or a choo-choo train, or whatever, it is unlikely that anyone else would see the same thing. Or for that matter if they did visualize the same thing, that they would find the same significance to it. Most of all though, I think it would mean that you are spending WAY to much time analyzing life minutia’s and should find a new hobby.
3: Notice I did not make this question C. That is because this question is different. It is the only one that matters. The answer is totally up to you, and there is no right or wrong answer. Actually, there is. If you believe that everything that comes out of the orifices of the great icons of our religions is written in stone, then quite possibly this Christian Wicca merger isn’t for you, because you just might not ever be able to settle all the differences in your beliefs. If on the other hand, you find that some things just don’t sit well, maybe have a bad smell, or just don’t look right, than what you feel and believe in your heart to be true is what is correct. Everything else is just a pile of sh*t.

So then christian wiccans don't believe in the bible?

Imagine my surprise and pleasure at having my first reply come from my favorite Christian Wicca cynic! I apologize for not giving a prompt response to your “Are you kidding “ thread, but I was so happy with your last response I just didn’t want to chance saying something that might make you rescind your validation of our spiritual parking ticket. (kidding. glad your OK with us)
The answer to your question up to the particular practitioner. By now you have probably noticed that it is difficult to find two Christian Wiccans that share the exact same views, as Christians come from so many different backgrounds. While all Christian Wiccans will share some degree of Christian faith and beliefs, I certainly cannot make a guess of how many believe in the bible, but the pope is not the bible anyways. Catholic Bibles have 73 books, 46 in the Old Testament, and 27 in the New Testament. Protestant Bibles have 66 books with only 39 in the Old Testament. Just because the Protestant bibles recognize fewer books than the Catholic, they are still Christian. And just because Gnostic Christians choose to recognize more does not make them unchristian. The pope certainly defines Christian authority to millions of Catholics, as Gardner does Wicca to Gardnerian Tradition Wiccans, but they do not define everyone’s Christianity or Wicca. Jesus himself defines Christianity in his own words in the bible, and not everyone agrees on how to interpret his words. In Wicca, you may not have Christ’s own words, but divinity is within you, and you can look within yourself for guidance. For instance, my own Christian beliefs come from Gospels that the Catholic Church does not recognize, and proclaim heretical. This is not to say “I don’t believe in the bible” but on this point I myself am not in full agreement with the Vatican. I could not attempt to describe what a Catholic Wiccan believes, or a Baptist Wiccan, or Protestant Wiccan. I don’t even know if those definitions are correct, I don’t call myself a Gnostic Wiccan. Maybe someone else will join this thread and enlighten us.

Re: Re:****
I have been following your interchange.....I cannot help but interject.......what purpose does this all serve?????What are you trying to accomplish?? The first time I came on this site a while ago I was looking for companionship with those that believed what I believed. I understand that debate is what drives us but we sound like those same conservative clones. I thought what all of us were on one path or another because we were trying to be different from the normal hipocrisy. I fear that in trying to one up each other we have forgotten about the divine........what are we trying to justify to each other?????? Again I would like to make an oveture to anyone, let us get to know more about each other before we debate more......we may find more common ground to stand on......I try to be a humble servant when I can and am interested in knowing more than what you can argue about...both of you...crow
Re:
Big smiles crow. This was my purpose in stopping my replys to "are you kidding", I nor anyone else was notgetting anything at all from the animosity of which I myself am guilty of keeping alive. Simply entering that thread was enough to tick me off. So I figured I would start anew in hopes of avoiding those feelings. My remarks to nightshroud in this thread are meant as freindly jibes and nothing more, and I hope are taken that way, as do not wish further debate. I hope that you or anyone else is not offended by my little "three questions" post. This is simply a little anecdote I wrote for myself so that I can return to it when things get too serious or tense, and if anyone else gets a smile from it all the better.
By the way, are you a member of this site's sponsered christianwicca group at yahoo? That is really a great group for finding other believers of this path, not everyone agrees, but all are very freindly and helpful. I reccomend it to anyone choosing this path.
Blessed Be, Allabap

I will tell you all you want to know.......crow
Re: Crow
Sounds great. Would love to hear your ideas. I wont be spending alot of time on this site or with the group soon either, returning to my part time summer job, along with my full time day job. I am 43, live near and love the ocean, loving husband, bartender/ AutoCad draftsman/ steelworker /deep thinker. Allabap is Paballa spelled backwards. Paballa has no significance at all. Now there is a deep thought.
Also, dont count Nightshroud out yet, he is a man who enjoys sloshing through the philisophical muck as much as I do, and I doubt he has departed this fertile soil yet.
Re: Crow
Allabap: My thread 'you're kidding right?' still has a point, a point which is constantly missed. If you are feeling 'guilty' of keeping my point 'alive' well, I can't help but feel threatened by that remark. Actually, your friendly jabs did hurt, just the way they came across, but since you say now they were nothing more than that, I don't have any reason to be offended, and I'm not.
Crow: I appretiate your offer to e-mail you, I extend the same invitation, but I'm afriad I wouldn't really know what to e-mail you about. I have no quarrel with you (which would in fact probably be MORE reason not to e-mail someone, if I was in a quarrel with them) nor do I really have anything to say that I havn't/cant say on here, my message board, or on my website. By seperation I'm assuming you mean my being dumped, but if I forgot to mention that here, and talked about seperation from something else, well, please forgive me. I appretiate the apology anyways, even if I don't feel you have any reason to apologize in the first place. I love to talk about my personal beliefs, but they are far too numerous and complicated to list off here. I do my best talking either on MSN or the phone, heh.
Actually, now upon reading Allabap's last post, it seems the apology was directed towards me leaving the site, which seems more feasable of me mentioning here than my ex dumping me, heh. I do love the philosophical side of things, which is strange enough at my age (which I'm not going to mention if I havn't already, as I get judged by it enough already) and I do not mind being the center of personal attacks, or having all my points missed countless times. I'm probably going to stay for a lot longer, although my life is getting much more complicated and looking ever more like a handbasket... heh.
