Background: The Steel Twins are the children of Galvin and Julina Hart. Their father Galvin was a space Marine and abusive to Emily and Will physically, mentally and emotionally. With Emily that abuse was also sexual in nature too. Their mother Julina was not much better prostituting herself and her children to anybody willing to pay. Their parents never cared about either of them. Then at age 8 Emily shot their parents killing them. At 9 Steel Will started selling Venus, Dream Dust and Paradise sometimes even being a strongarm for one f The meanest in New York City called The Hand of Death as well as working in the Game Zone getting paid to participate in blood sports. They both saw the worst in humanity till one day Will was busted and cop insisted that both Will and Emily go into foster care with him and his wife at 12. Both of them went to school and Will got into Sports (wrestling, football and weight lifting) He was a natural at it and everybody loved him. His sister took to studying everything she could get her hands on. Including genetic engineering. At 16 Will was captain of his high school's football team while Emily was the one who won all the academic awards. Will then got an offer to play football professionally the same year while Emily went off to college. Will had become Rookie of the Year and just kept getting better. He had a reputation of clubbing and wild parties. There were lots of women and men too in those days. He continued on this path for many years till he had injured himself on the field and had to stop playing football. He was depressed and tried to commit suicide many times.
Meanwhile Emily had became a noted scientist and inventor. Though she wasn't quite as wild as Will. Her testing on living beings made her far from being a favourite in the scientific community.
After her brother's injury they joined The Marines where Will met his husband Jason.They trained in high gravity exercises trying to see how many Gs they could take.
While with the Marines Emily met Jonathan Quick who was then Head of Interplanetary 8.
It would be many years later till the three of them would be offered training at the Silver Hawks Academy on Earth.
While training on Earth with the Silver Hawks there was a terrorist attack on Mars where Will's husband was on a business trip. Jason died and Will became angry and depressed wanting vengeance on the terrorist group responsible.
As we all know well, Vengeance is patient and the longer it is left to brew the more vindictive and bitter it becomes.
While on Earth and during their time as a Silver Hawks Emily's relationship has become more intense with Jonathan Quick to the point of even having a son together named Andrew.
